I hate WMM more than I hate le. pilote..

I can't wait for DVD, that way I don't have to see "WOWOW" in the corner everytime a new song starts

there are really some ridiculous people here who try to defend EVERYTHING x japan did and didn't, praising everything and everyone and bladibla. why can you guys just let others have their own opinions about x japan, even if these included things like "some x japan songs really suck" or whatever.
just because you guys like everything from yoshiki and the rest (and i'm cool with that) doesn't mean that those who don't, don't know x japan as good as you do and are asking for a sermon on how to be the perfect x japan fan.

I don't mean to go against the grain here, but this guy does have a point.
Sure, this is a forum for fans of X, but just because we LOVE them, doesn't mean that we HAVE to think everything they do is GREAT!!

Not to disrespect him, but alost of my least favorite X songs, were by hide.... he was a better compser for his solo stuff than for the band..

I did like Drain, though!

anyways, does anyone know a good video editing software?
Trying to put AoL's together, but can't find good software..

Yoshiki doesn't have the stamina he used to have and this was proven on the first night. I would be surprised if they played it at future concerts although i hope they do as Art of life is simply brilliant.

Saying he doesn't have the stamina is nonesense, I recall reading in one of his blogs a couple months ago (5 or 6-ish) that he was on a special diet to help him drum even harder than before. He may have believed it, but the facts say a little bit different

And I COMPELTELY agree with your last statement, I almost had a bowel movement in class when I read the set-list for the first night.. I was literally crying the rest of the school day...

As mentioned in an earlier thread, one of the songs I had listed for a reunion concert was Art of Life, but I said I doubted it would happen due to the physical strain it puts on the members, but we had it!

I got the OST for Dirge of Cerberus: FFVII, on it were two songs by Gackt.
researched Gackt -> Superband with YOSHIKI
Researched YOSHIKI -> X JAPAN

« on: March 28, 2008, 10:23:32 PM »
anyone know where I can download it, in good quality?

yea, literally just saw it, still here's the clip of YOSHIKI fainting

A person on japanforum posted this as the set-list for the first night.

The Last Song
SCARS / Silent Jealousy feat. SUGIZO
hide no heya
Say Anything (acoustic)
Without You (acoustic)
I.V. feat. SUGIZO
Art Of Life

don't know if Art of Life was full or just radio edit. seeing as the set-list is small, I would say full, but I don't see YOSHIKI pulling this off 3 nights consecutively

I have the original remastered editions of the albums and you really can hear a difference, it sounds SOOOO much crisper.... it's nice!

I think the solo in Tears is the most "powerful" solo that was ever done by X (JAPAN) ballad-wise..

But if you would like (and it's no against rules) I could link you to The Last Song single (doesn't include video).

Would a mod give me a thumbs up or down, please...

BTW, HIDE holds the note for precisely 13 seconds!!! (4:03 - 4:16)

Art of Life Live aka X Japan Returns / Art of Life (1993.12.30)
« on: March 12, 2008, 10:23:18 PM »
yup. now we know why only the audio for the 31st concert was released prior to this...

I think it would be cool if they did Art of Life at the new concerts, maybe not the whole thing, but at least the opening piano, and the last 4 and a half minutes, so pretty much the radio edit of the song..

I know he doesn't actually say it, I was just puuting it in there cause it's obvious he was thinking it. the first time they ever performed it live, and he screws up ROYALLY.....

I don't buy that YOSHIKI played too soon... doesn't seem like him, and I can' hear it, I've listened to this version of Art of Life everyday for the past week, besides those two things, and Toshi mumbling in the beginning, "It *mumble* me to look at the world"

And before the aforementioned solo where HIDE "adds notes" when TOSHI's voice dies on him, "What lies are truths, what truths are l....."

this is a very interesting live....!!!!!

Quick question.. Before the final "chorus" (I believe...) 35 minutes and 36 seconds into Art of Life on the 30th, did one of the guitarists add in a couple notes, or am I just hearing things. I'm pretty sure I can hear at least an extra note from one the guitarists!!!

Also, what do you all think of TOSHI's little:
"I believe in the madness called "Now"
Time goes flowing, breaking my heart
Wanna to live
Can't let my heart kill myself
Still I haven't found what I'm looking for
Art of life
An Eternal Bleeding heart
You never wanna breathe your last
Wanna live
Can't let my heart kill myself
Still I'm feeling for
A Rose is breathing love
in my *SHIT*

Art of life
An Eternal Bleeding heart
You never wanna breathe your last
Wanna live
Can't let my heart kill myself
Still I'm feeling for
A Rose is breathing love
in my life"

That cracked me up, now I know why they (YOSHIKI) didn't use this for the Art of Life Live DVD...
I'm not making fun of it, I just thought it was funny...

I can vouch for CDJapan.  I haven't tried Amazon.co.jp or HMV-- don't think I've tried YesAsia either-- but CDJapan has been great to me, I've been ordering from them off and on for years and never had any problems at all.

same here, i used cdjapan for the rerelase of Blue Blood and Jealousy last year, and the Aoi Shiroi concerts..... great!

probably the announcement of X's new guitarist? :)

I'm pretty sure it was already announced SUGIZO would fill in..
correct me if I'm wrong.

I'd say it's definately either the announcement of the next DVD or the release date of the upcoming Japanese Best Album

The Last Live / Last Live Uncut

PanthereNoire, Would it be a safe assumption to say that the 1995 tour will be released before the Last Live Complete?

And, in regards to YOSHIKI's blog post, I think the announcement, will be the next set of DVD's....

Yea, if people want it bad enough, they'll get it..
But people like me who'll download it, will also buy the (Box Set) When/If it's released...
So, with me.. it doesn't really matter, they'll get their money, I'll just have it before I pay for it.... at least one of the nights!

I'm hoping for an album announcement.....

I think everybody won!

I WON TOO!!!!!!

That's awesome and all, but since when was there a third night?
*is lost*

I have the video files to the 1992 On the Verge of Destruction Concert, and the Blue Blood Tour Bakahatsu Sunzen Gig (1989.03.16) and when I convert them to a format my PS3 understands, the audio and video aren't synched.... They are on the original file, but not after conversion... and I've tried multiple converters!!!

do you happen to have the lyrics to that english version?

I was mad when they changed the lyrics for later lives from the album version. I thought the original song was...orgasmic!

what do you want to see on it!!!
(given there won't be much adversity to our replies, not many english songs!..... maybe we'll get a couple re-done in English!!!!!)
