2) Hyde and Sugizo's performance of Red Swan is awesome. I have never really been interested in Hyde taking over vocals for X Japan, however, I have truely come to appreciate his voice over the last couple of years, (solo works, "Anti", and what we have seen so far with TLRS). Perhaps we could see shows and releases as X Japan feat. Hyde, like Red Swan was originally meant to be?

I could absolutely live with Hyde replacing Toshi

When Red Swarn was released, Yoshiki first released it as an X Japan song. He got a big shitstorm from the fans for naming anything X Japan without Toshis voice.

I remember that.
But that was years ago when people still thought that X Japan as a band existed.
Many people might have changed their mind about that in the meantime over the apparent rift between Yoshiki and Toshi.
How will people react when they have the choice between

X with Hyde or no X at all?

it is surprising that there seem to be no plans to release the soundtrack

Hmmm, maybe it is too complicated with licensing due to the range of artists?

maybe, but wouldn't there have been some kind of agreement already for the film?

According to Amazon.com the blu-ray will be released on June 25th

a DVD is listed as well but so far no release date

I guess with the current YEN Rate it would be a deal, but I would never pay almost 1800 Euro for a VIP package.
650 euro for the dinner show? Nope!
520 for the breakfast show? Nope!

but we know plenty of fans will be willing to pay that much

sorry, I was at work and couldn't follow the complete press conference.

Yoshiki already announced at the London screening of "Under the Sky" last year that they were working on releasing more X Japan songs to streaming services.
yes, about time!

Yoshiki announced today that the already postponed LA concert was cancelled.

They are planning a world tour in 2025 instead.

Oh well, I wouldn't hold my breath!

Yoshiki said there will be a press conference in the coming days.
I wonder if it will be about the “Yes, KAWAII Is Art -Exhibition at the JAPAN HOUSE in LA

He finally posted something about his condition:

https://www.facebook.com/reel/1291107288469819
I’m shooting right now, first time since I was hospitalized. Sorry for being absent. The doctors diagnosed me with “general malaise and sleep disorders” due to excessive fatigue and stress.
I’ll try to go back to work slowly.
Btw, I have something to tell you, so I’m supposed to hold a press conference next week.
And today I’ll go to somewhere important after this.
Thank you so much for all your love and support.

hide / A request to those who visit hide’s grave
« on: April 29, 2024, 09:16:04 AM »
Please be respectful!

Hide offical posted this today:
https://twitter.com/hideofficial_20/status/1784837066519642120

[A request to those who visit hide’s grave]

First, we’d like to thank the many people who visit hide's grave each and every day.
Thank you very much for coming.

Recently we have had more and more visitors who bring flowers and offerings (food, beverages, cigarettes, etc.).
Unfortunately we have had to deal with many cases of broken bottles, burst cans, damaged incense burners etc.

As members of hide’s family, we would like to ask for your cooperation in this matter.
We would also like to thank you all for coming from all over to visit. We appreciate your kindness.

We are sure that your feelings reach hide.

We request that you no longer bring flowers or offerings when you visit. Instead, please come with empty hands to place together in prayer.

Please follow the rules so that everyone can visit the cemetery safely and comfortably.
We ask for your understanding and cooperation.

<Please abide by the following rules >

•Please be aware that many visitors come to this grave so refrain from bringing offerings (such as flowers) or gifts (beverages/other items).

•Please refrain from pouring alcohol, water, etc. on the gravestones, as it will discolor them.

•Due to the influx of visitors, burning incense and tobacco as an offering is also prohibited as it may damage the cinerary burner. (Consistent heat causes the damage)

•Please refrain from talking loudly in front of the grave, as it may disturb the other people in the cemetery.

[Please refrain from visiting the home of hide's parents.]

First of all, thank you very much to everyone who visits hide's grave.

We have seen an increase in the number of people who visit the gravesite also visiting hide’s parents home.
Please DO NOT visit hide’s parents' house.

We are very happy that you support hide, but we would like to ask you to please refrain from visiting his family home.

hide’s parents are elderly, and as much as they appreciate it, it is also a great burden for them to greet and entertain every fan that comes to visit.

In addition, hide's parent’s home is a private residence, not a regular visitation place.
An increase in traffic could become a nuisance to the neighbors.

We are sure that everyone's thoughts and feelings for hide will reach him, no matter where you are.

We sincerely ask for the understanding and cooperation of each and every one of you so that hide's beloved relatives can live each day in peace.

I didn't notice it so far but that doesn't mean anything.
She doesn't seem to be very active on Twitter.

Yoshiki's fashion line will debut at the MILANO FASHION WEEK Feb 20th.

https://www.maisonyoshikiparis.com/

MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS will fuse YOSHIKI's visions of fashion, design, and lifestyle with RTW (ready to wear) glamorous and genderless designs. The line is expected to debut with over 30 looks.

YOSHIKI stated, "It’s going to be a feminine but also genderless collection, flamboyant with a rebellious touch, which has always been important to me. All the natural and eco-responsible materials are sourced from Italy and France."

And by the look of it the drum sticks have been stolen.
That's exactly what I feared would happen.
People have no respect!

I admit I was a bit surprised when I saw the video.

Well, I am sure "longtime friend" had a completely different meaning for celebrities than it does for us.
Like "We met at social events, move in the same celeb circles and maybe that person has good networking connections"
And from what I saw of Yoshiki and interacting with fans I say he is too polite to say "no" when someone asks him something

We see plenty of pics of Marc Benioff with Yoshiki, That's when I would use "longtime friend" Ivanka...have we ever seen any other pics of them?
I cannot remember any.

it was classified as "imagine song" not soundtrack, or?
Then it kinda makes sense that it isn't on the OST.
but yes, I wish it was released.

I haven't been able to find anything.
I am not even sure that they ever planned to release the song along with the game on Jan 26th.
From what I saw news articles  only mentioned that the song would be the image song for Tekken 8 which would be released  on January 26th but no release date for the song as such was mentioned.
Yes, of course it would have made sense to get game and song released on the same day but that doesn't seem to be the case.
And yes, I had January 26th in my mind as well as release date....wishful thinking I guess

it's hard to pick favorites because they are all great.
I think "Endless Rain" is on the second place.

I haven't been able to find my face yet in the fan montage, but I found my name in the credits  ;D

What's your favorite song of the movie?

I love "Closer" with The Chainsmokers..

The drum battle at the end is great
