I see.  Thank you for clearing that up :)

"modern rock goers"
Of course the band is open to anyone liking their music, but it always seemed to me that Yoshiki is mostly targeting adolescent girls.  And yes, I understand Yoshiki is not the entire X Japan but he's more active on social media and handles just about all western media, and I don't see how he plans on getting an audience broader than that by affiliating himself with Hello Kitty and addressing himself as "kitty" or "vampire".
I'm not trying to undermine your word, I'm just confused by what you mean.

Check on the page to see if you can see the inside of the book, and if there's any author's note on how he got it.
Also, could you please tell me where I may read a translation of Toshi's book?

Alrighty, thanks!  :)

I like where you're going, but I think that would be better for a concert.  For a convention, I think they should cosplay from an anime :)

I understand some of these may be impractical to the point of being life-threatening so I may not wish for those to happen (and you'll know them), but the idea still seems funny to me.
-Have Alfonso Ribiero (actor who played Carlton in "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air") come on stage doing his famous Carlton dance as they play.
-Have the band go on "It's a Small World" in Disney World and watch their sanity slowly disintegrate (except Pata who probably wouldn't know what's happening, and Yoshiki who would just get really pissy).
-Climb up a really tall church tower in Europe while drunk.
-Have the band get criticized by Simon Cowell.  Bonus points if Yoshiki takes it upon himself to defend himself and the band.
-Have the band cook for Gordon Ramsay.  (According to TV Tropes, Yoshiki is a notoriously bad cook.  I can't find the story that led to this reputation, so if you know it please share!)
-Read fanfic about themselves out loud.  (You know the kind I'm talking about!)

Those are all the ones I can think of right now.  Share some random things you think would be funny/awesome or enlighten me on your opinion of my list.

What do you mean by "Scars on Melody"?  Is Melody a bootleg?

From what I understand, his fiancee and mother both claimed to have seen no stretch marks, but have found red marks due to tape on his chest, the cell he was put in was supposedly suicide-proof, the resort that Kitami's ex-husband owns, where Taiji stayed, is allegedly visited by the higher members of the Saipan justice system, AND according to a (dead and unsuccessful) petition on change.org, his death certificate stating "suicide" was revoked..  I can't remember the places I got all the alleged info (mostly from this forum or any other kind of English source of his death, as well as the aforementioned petition) so I understand it's controversial, but I feel that that's about as much as we're gonna get.
Plus, he's not the only celeb whose official death was so blatantly BS'd (of course it must have happened to reguar people too, but we generally tend to know more about celebs), and while you could argue that the conspiracies are controversial, some still stand out with a large amount of evidence.  Like Marilyn Monroe, for example.  Do some research on her death, and you'll see she was murdered.
Another celeb whose death people are confident about was a murder is Brian Jones.  I will admit I don't know so much the details on his death so I will not say with confidence that I think it was murder, but it's something that everyone who likes him as a musician seems to agree on, so there must be evidence and it's worth mentioning as an example.
The point of the examples is that people make mistakes or go corrupt.  Yes, I cannot say for certain the cause of his death, and I am not questioning your knowledge on death investigation at all.  But I am willing to believe that his death was murder and received an unjust "investigation" because even the people we trust to bring order are sinners themselves.

I'm sorry to hear that your mom had to go through the same thing and about your depression.
Maybe there's a court case date that hasn't been released to the public.  You know how it takes a while before they come around.  I hope something is done about her on earth, but even if she runs free, then like I said in my OP:  the Lord has a special place reserved for people like her.

None that I know of.  Lord, I did not know of X or Taiji at the time of his death, I would find out about them a few years later but his death still hit me hard yesterday.  Can't imagine your case . . . :(
I'm not sure, but Google won't show anything like "Kitami arrested for involvement of Taiji's murder" or "Kitami proven innocent" so . . .

What songs do you like that always seemed more underrated to you?  I personally like un-finished, that's the only song that ever actually made me cry and it's so beautiful and heart touching.
You can talk about songs that was big for its time but seemed to have died down now or a song that's always seemed to have been overlooked.  I'm looking forward to replies ^_^ we are X!!!!!!

I understand it's his dream and I have 0 problem with that.  BUT if it's truly his priority he should probably put more focus on his bigger projects . . . even with all the setbacks, he's had Violet UK on the shelf for how long now?  And I'm not saying his neoclassical stuff is bad, it's just not necessarily "classical" in the proper sense of the word.  His "classical" concert at Otakon was mostly him playing X Japan and songs written by him for movies.
And I will say "touche" to the marketing thing.  I knew about the dolls, but not about the perfume, condoms, and lingerie.

I know I'm venting in the most vulgar and non-sensical way but holy fuck I feel so wronged by Yoshiki as a fan of almost 10 years...like this is some cruel type of treatment. It's actually fucked up the way he HYPES and promises things that NEVER see the fucking light of day and are postponed and delayed for YEARS. 2000 and fucking 8 is when these guys reformed properly and what do we really have since then? Some tours and a couple of finished/half finished songs. The promises are what bring me down so much.
The band took a hiatus without telling the public after Taiji's death, Yoshiki said so at the 2014 Otakon show.  I think he should have been way more responsible; if the band's taking a break, let the fans know instead of having everyone wonder what's going on.  Nonetheless, that explains a lot of the inactivity for a good few years.  As of from 2008-2011, I really can't explain because I didn't know about them then.
But you do make a fair point.  I didn't see it the way you did, but now that you say it . . . then again, we're talking about a guy who expects to be famous by tagging his name on every little thing he can think of; wine, jewelry, Hello Kitty, and meanwhile Violet UK still isn't complete, Yoshiki "Classical" is hardly even neo-classical to begin with, he keeps worrying about little things and wonders why he isn't famous in the West when everyone in the Far East bows at his feet and remembers the exact shade of black his clothes were.

Taiji / RIP Taiji
« on: July 17, 2015, 05:54:25 AM »
It is currently the death anniversary of Taiji in my time zone.  May his body rest in peace and may his soul find eternal peace in heaven.  He's probably up there with hide, jamming with all the other musician greats like Jimi Hendrix, Brian Jones, John Lennon, John Bonham and Kurt Kobain (note:  I'm not saying I like or listen to all these examples.  They are, nonetheless, renowned musicians).
Keep rocking, Taiji.  And if Kitami does not meet her consequences on this earth, the good lord will be sure to put her in her proper place during the afterlife where earth's harm could never equate to.
