The Concerts / Re: X Japan World Tour 2016 - X Day
« on: July 06, 2015, 08:50:02 PM »
I'll probably go to the show in Wembley :) But I'm a bit concerned, it's a HUGE stadium, will a japanese band be able to fill all that space?

Yoshiki / Re: Yoshiki's health problems (2015 Edition)
« on: June 09, 2015, 07:44:49 PM »
He might be fast and have a high stamina, he drums with a wrong technique, which indeed results in tons of injuries and MOAR DRAMA. Technique is very important in drumming, not just "being fast" and "being able to hit the snare for 30 minutes straight and then pretending to faint"

I agree the rest of X is quite passive and indeed, Yoshiki has most of the say in the music, which totally explains why everything sucks since first Taiji and then hide left :| Yoshiki did do some nice composing in the old days (Art of Life, Rose of Pain, everything on Vanishing Vision), but the 'style' he does these days is absolutely not my cup of tea. Yoshiki is more of a classical musician than a rocker to me, and I like rock music. Whereas Taiji (and Toshi and Pata for that matter) are true rockers. (hide was a different case... He was batshit crazy, which I can appreciate as well!)

Taste differs, of course! But to me, X Japan is far from a rock band these days :D

Yoshiki / Re: Yoshiki's health problems (2015 Edition)

I'm serious, X without Yoshiki would KICK ASS :D They would finally be an awesome rock band actually doing stuff, instead of this weird hello kitty + classical music bullshit they're spitting out lately. And everyone knows that in the old days, hide and Taiji were responsible for X's awesomeness. If only those guys were still around...

And Yoshiki really is just an average drummer, he's not amazing at all. He reminds me a lot of Lars Ulrich; very famous but mediocre drummers.

He didn't play from 2011 to 2014. Why didn't he do this surgery during this whole time?

He likes drama. He likes all "nurses" fangirls moaning for him and sending cute messages on Twitter.

You, sir. I like you. You get it. Here, have a box of X Japan curry.

I'm actually hoping his hand has to be chopped off so X Japan can finally get an actual good drummer/pianist :D

No information about a possible broadcast - but I certainly hope there will be a way to watch it haha. :)

Oh and - apparently Yoshiki said that he'll do a very important announcement in July in Europe...

...whatever that is supposed to mean...

- a new hello kitty version of him
- a 2016 nude calendar of him
- MOAR CLASSICAL ALBUMS
- Yoshiki's very own brand of protein shakes
- dildo collection molded after X Japan's members members (geddit?)

And since Yoshiki doesn't seem to be involved in the production, there's a realistic chance of actually being able to see the finished movie one day! :D

I saw what you did there XDD

Albums/Singles / Re: Hero : X Japan version .
« on: August 22, 2014, 04:09:10 PM »
Uh, well same old discussions... Personally I like the news songs a lot, so I don't mind what he's writing nowadays.
But what I don't understand is why everyone is so suprised about his new stuff sounding 1) different 2) more dahlia-ish than VV-ish. I mean, he's gone a way and he keeps walking that path, nothing wrong with that...? Of course it sucks for those people prefering the old style but... appreciate what you like and ignore the rest, getting pissed off everytime won't change it either.... :/

KISS is happily releasing new stuff but the new songs basically sound exactly the same as they always did and you can basically hear no difference at all - I'm not sure if THAT is better, either... XD

Excellent point, Asu~
But to be honest, IV was a crap song, Jade was all right, Born to be Free was pretty cool, but this new song? It's absolutely dreadful. I can't comprehend Yoshiki spent more than a year to write crap like this >>;
But yeah, in a way, I think I lost interest in the new stuff altogether D: (same with GNR - I didn't like anything from Chinese Democracy, so I won't be looking forward to any new albums or songs either.)

Aahh who am I kidding, if they come to Europe again, I'll definitely go, new songs or not :P My love for classic X will never dissapear, no matter how I disapprove of Yoshiki and his methods. (and his sudden lack of talent when it comes to songwriting. OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH * gets ready for fangirls starting a flamewar *)

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: X Japan at MSG 10.11.2014
« on: July 25, 2014, 05:14:29 PM »
I like how this show is supposedly in 3 months and there is zero information. Yoshiki has just lost his mind, there is no way this is happening unless its in the parking lot of MSG...
Typical ;) Don't worry, this happens all the time. My prediction: the show will either be completely forgotten about, or postponed.

Art of Life Live aka X Japan Returns / Re: Toshi's Assasination.
« on: July 05, 2014, 02:30:29 PM »
The scene on that stage reminds me of the Week End PV, in which all the members except Toshi are killed in different ways. And I guess that's why he chose the song Week End to stage this dramatic change, just like a sequel of that PV... And I agree it looks staged, too.

Yeah, I had to think of that, too!! I thought it was just part of recreating the PV XD

Well, that's only because they took so long to get all the hair spray out of his hair and stuff... :P
Meh, honestly, if you have hair like that (and I do, as you all know XDD) you only have to get in the shower, wash it all out, and just blowdry it until it's back to normal. Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes :P But yeah, X loves to over-exaggerate and make things loooooooooonnnnnnnnngggggggggggggg as usual.

(I re-discovered this topic thanks to asu and was all like WATTTTTTTTTT XD)

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: X Japan at MSG 10.11.2014
« on: June 02, 2014, 09:52:46 PM »
The problem is that Yoshiki seems more interested in the superficial trappings of fame than the artistic merit of musical creation. It seems that somewhere down the line, he started to mistake commercial endeavors such as Hello Kitty tie-ins, credit cards with his picture on and branded headphones, for actual work or artistic productivity.

SOMEONE SAID IT!! :D But hey, that's Hollywood, baby. Who gives a fuck about creating new music when you can earn shitloads of cash by feeding X Japan-themed Hello Kitty's to rabid fangirls who'll buy anything as long as it has a big red X logo on it.

And yes, I'm getting a BIG flashback from 2008. :D But, now I'm a bit older and wiser and I know I shouldn't get my hopes up too high. From a musician's point of view, it would be obvious that the album needs to be released before the tour, but this could be another reason for the tour to be delayed, of course! Can you imagine the news lines already? "X JAPAN TOUR POSTPONED BECAUSE ALBUM ISN'T FINISHED YET" or some shit.

Whatever, I'll just sit back and wait, with a big bowl of popcorn in my lap, lol!! To the "newer" X fans who haven't been through the 2008 shit, I can only say this: Don't get too excited. XD

Thank you. Your tattoos are fantastic too! How much did you pay for them?

I happen to have a really awesome tattoo artist, who always charges me a lot less than other costumers :) The lion was only 120, the A was 75 (minimum price), the hanya mask and taiji tribute together was 150 (first he charged 120, but I insisted on paying more cause they were so good XD), and the dragon, I don't remember, I think 200 or something. That was quite special, cause he worked on it for FIVE hours. The usual charge for a job like that would be 500euro, but he said: "don't worry about it, at first I thought it was going to be only 2 hours, but I changed my mind last minute and used a more traditional tattoo technique. So you couldn't help it."
XDDD So there. I am very lucky!!

How about yours?

It's so cool that your tattoos are both related to books!! :DD
As for the two dragons, just wait till the lines are a bit faded, then another tattoo artist can definitely re-do the detailing :) Just have a good long talk with the artist about this shit, some are better at cover-ups than others.
Good luck!! I still think it looks badass though XD

£235 holy shit. D:

they are so expensive cause that's what it took for visual effects to make Yoshiki's wrinkles disappear

Asuka's idea :D A topic about tattoos~

I showed mine in the how you've been doing topic, but here are the pics again, now in the correct topic! XD

My Seikima-II tribute tattoo. It's the album cover of one of my favorite albums of them, Akuma Nativity.

And this is my Taiji tribute tattoo. He's always been my favorite X member (together with Jun), and I was devestated when he passed away a few years ago. So I got this! It's a buffalo skull, based on the D.T.R album artwork, with his initials on it.

(bigger pic of dragon: http://i.imgur.com/pDBt1.jpg )
My dragon, which is for my love for Asia (especially Japan and Indonesia), and the letter "A". It's a part of the logo of my band, and also the first letter of my husband's name.

Then I also have  a lion on my back, but I don't have any good pics of that anymore D: It was my first one, though!

Aaaand later this year I will get another lion tattooed.
This baby: https://scontent-a-ams.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc3/t1/1424561_554611221281675_569419858_n.jpg
The lion I already have is called Victor. He passed away last year, but he lived in the Zoo of antwerp. The little guy on the picture is his son, Nestor. When Nestor is an adult (in a few months he'll have his full mane), I'm gonna get his pic tattooed on my arm :D So I have father and son both on my body~

Now you guys! Hey and Nage, post yours again, with a bigass description of the meanings and stuff :D I'm so curious! ~~

Hey girls, maybe you should open a thread for tattoos, un case there isnt one yet? ;)

And Miho, I already told you that I guess, but I am really glad that you seem to be happy now! :)*huggles*

Cool idea!

Thanks, sweetheart. Although you can just call me Julie XD And I really am happy, I've never felt like this before in my life! The only thing that would make my happiness complete is to finally have a child... But I still have time for that I guess :)

So glad to read about all of you ~

As for me... :D

It might come as a bit of a shock for most of you, but about one month before the X show in 2011, I got into a relationship with a... MAN. YES I KNOW. Here's the story.
It started around december 2010/ january 2011. You might remember that I was hanging out with Ann (she was online here for a while, too) a lot at the time. She just found out she had lung cancer. I had just been kicked out of the house by my mother and was living with nuns until I got my own place. Eventually, I got that place, but all my friends lived in another city, and I was so lonely. I also didn't go to school for a while. I was taking care of Ann as good as I could, but in april of that year, it was too much. I had to get out.
So I went to a concert in Antwerp, of an Asian band that performed there. Because the electricity broke, they couldn't do the show, and the Indonesian guitarist said, "well let's just have some drinks with the fans then." That night changed my life; we got to know each other, and I went to his place to stay the night and well... i never left! He said, "maybe you should just quit school, move to Antwerp, and join the band!" And really, with what I was leaving behind... I didn't have to think twice.
Of course, as a lesbian, I knew he was in love with me but I kept saying no XDDD Until.. after a few months... well, something happened that I can't quite explain. We became a couple in june, and got engaged in august that same year :D
Our wedding is sceduled for.... when we have money. LOL. But seriously, I have never been happier before in my life. Now it's been nearly three years, and I'm still by his side, still in the band, planning my wedding and thinking about having children... I swear, this guy is like a gift from the heavens. He's an Indonesian guitar GOD, with hair so long he could wipe his ass with it, and he changed my life completely. Without him.. I'd probably be in the gutter. Or in jail. Or dead. LOL!

A little picture... https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/t1/488142_3789454452973_34307511_n.jpg

Oh, I also work in a cupcake-themed coffee house now XD Had some really shitty jobs along the way, but this one, I really love.
Aaaand I got a shitload of tattoos XD Oh well, a shitload.. I have five now. Planning on getting more very soon!

http://24.media.tumblr.com/3a1d02f1c68f50f6ce4cd3385b268cf9/tumblr_mwob7wwqln1qbf8rto2_400.png and this one is for Seikima II!

my dragon for my love for Asia, and the letter "A" which stands for the band I'm in, and is also the first letter of my future husband's name

Then there's a lion on my back but I can't find a pic aaaaa

That's about it I guess
Can't wait to hear about the rest of you guys :)
