About BC RICH mockingbirds, they play really well, especially the higher end models. If your willing to pay a bit over 500€, you'll get a great guitar with superior parts.
(I have experiance playing them)
I dunno... The time I played one I wasn't really impressed. I think a cheap Epiphone SG (let's say one you can buy for 200 bucks) plays a LOT better than a high end BC Rich Mockigbird. Hard to describe why... I think they play easier.
And by the way: buying a guitar for the way it looks (or who also played on that particular model) is probably one of the dumbest things you can do. I love the way Jackson RRs look, but the one I played on once (and that was a VERY good one, around the 700 euro price range) played pretty much the same as my old cheapo Ibanez guitar.
I was just wondering what the guitars were like, and thought that this was the right place to ask. Saying that, I don't think its dumb to buy a guitar for that reason-whatever inspires you to play cannot be a bad thing. Sure you have a point about trying what make/type suits you best, but there is a lot to be said for just going for it
