Dear all;
Here is my project hide Figure Collection Custom. I intended to finish it for today, on hide's birthday, but I made it on my free time, so like X Japan new album, Im a bit out of schedule ;)
In the early 2000, Banpresto has released 5 figurines of hide about 4 inch tall, each of them represents one hide era : hide your face, Tell Me MV, bandana, Last Live and Psyence. I ve got the 5 of them, and they are some of my favorite hide's goodies.
So, I decided to make one on my own, with the punk look of hide and to print it in 3D.
Here is my first WIP, there will be more details before I send it to a 3D printer.
Happy Birthday hide ;)

EDIT on 2016 December 25th
Merry Xmas to all of you ;)
Here is my latest update, add some details like zip, cloths folds, earring, etc ... and made some shader test, no texture yet

Haha, at least you're doing your plans X Japan's way
Joke aside, I like it! :)
I'll look forward to see it finished
You plan on selling it via Etsy or something like that or is it just for your own pleasure?

Oh wow! That looks really awesome ;D

This is looking nice. Consider me very interested!

Thanx for the positiv feedback
Yep, just like the new album, this project is around 99% finish ;)
@Hyunkel and Kurenai_Akari: this project is mainly to test an object I made to be print in 3D, and others technical stuff (test of new softwares , etc ...).
Depending on the result I ll get once print, and if people are interrested, yes I ll be more than happy if some X fans want to order one.
Here is my schedule:
- I should finish the full CG model before end of this year, so witihin this 2 weeks, meaning more details on the modelisation, textures/shaders and a realistic rendering
- January 2017, I ll optimize the model for 3D printing, and may print it in two type: one white without color (it has a better look), and one print in color (but so far what I have seen has a very "sandy" look)
Anyway, I ll post the next steps about it and of course pics of it once print. But my goal is to finish it before the release of the new album ;)

Merry Xmas to all of you ;)
So as promise, here is my latest update for Xmas day, unlike the Xday, it was not postponed this year ;)
Please feel free for any comments or suggestions

Finally done ;)
What do you think of final result ?
Any suggestions before I print it ?

It looks amazing 8)

I like it too! And it's "funny" to see it on May 2nd...
-
They are amazing!!!!
Great job!
Something out of the topic:
Just last night, I was thinking how hide would look like (style wise)if he were alive.
All the X members wear mostly black/very dark color nowadays, I cannot imagine hide would wear all black. :-)
-
I agree - looks amazing! :D

Thank you for your feedbacks ;)
I reached a 3D printing service today, and they said that my CG is too much detailed, so if I want to print it, I have to do some retakes especially on the hairs.
So STEP II, I ll do the retakes, post the CG result and pics of the printed figure, and then I ll be able to give a cost to anyone interested on buying one. So far, I think there will be around 10 to 15 so a very limited edition XD

lunacy, your artwork is gorgeous. You did such a great job, it looks like a plastic model that one would buy in a store! I am very impressed. Even though you probably never make them, again, I just wanted to tell you how good they are.
