I don't know, but this year there are no concerts for germany, or are there any? I mean no festivals btw *g* So I won't see them propably, but I've seen them 2006 and it was really great.

Well, I really wanted to go, but their show in Switzerland is like at the opposite part of the country (it's more a show for German people I guess lol) and the show in France is in the North of France... so no :(
I saw them in Paris in 2004 it was really great !!! 8)

oh! yeah they seem to be only playing festivals, over here it is kind of a festival and they are borrwing bands from reading and leeds as support!

Oh, imagine...back in 2004 he had worse moments even. He has improved a bit, well, maybe it's just the sound of the drum kit. Maybe he should go back to those old big Tama kits he used to play. :twisted:

Well, no drum kits can stop his bass drums going off beat etc. it's up to his legs and arms to do that ;P

yeah the last time he played here he couldnt play the bass pedal beats in Battery! but im there for Kirk James and Rob!

I just got my hands on it and all I can say is, it rocks. It's one of their best lives in the past couple of years. ^_^

yeah i saw it on MTV2! it was great! they sound great look great! and they played No Remorse which just made it ten times better!

For me -apart from Sad But True and Enter Sandman - the best performance has got to be Bleeding Me. There is so much emotion in it and the harder part simply moves me.

Yeah, Lars ceartinly seems to have sorta been slacking recently. I'm sure he'll probably kick his game up during the tour for Death Magnetic though.
And damn it! No Toronto show. I'm sorta surprised, but hey, if the Death Magnetic tour is anything like the St. Anger tour, it'll last for about a year or so, so I'm sure there'll be a show in Toronto eventually. :P
Metallica is the band that made me fall in love with music and made me pick up an instrument, I wanna see 'em live at least once!

Well, aaroni you can make anything sound good or tight in the studio. Heck.. they made even St.Anger sound at least somehow "good".
That doesn't mean that it's good live tho.. Lars is simply bad nowadays.

saw them like a few hours ago, was AMAZING as always, Cyanide was ok, but the set list was amazing, and Lars wasnt playin too bad at this gig!

Yea, Cyanide is pretty okay song really (Now that I have listened it a bit more..). I hope there will be better one's but I'm trying to not to listen to them before those are released (album).

holy crap this song is epic.. a lot more better than Cyanide imo. Only minus I found was that Lars didn't actually play a lot in this song.. it was fixed with protools but nevertheless epic!! :P

They are already saying that it is not mop 2 like promised etc.
They didn't promise mop 2 .. they said it has influence from that album and some load era etc. If their song are even close to as good as this.. this album will truly kick ass. So far I'm thrilled to see/hear what they have come up with!

those two new songs are really good, though i like cyanide a bit better. Of course The Day That Never Comes sounds epic, but somehow the final part of that song, the dual guitar part remind me a bit Iron Maiden songs (maybe that's only because I've been listening to some Irons lately).
I'm really curious about the album now. Hopefully I have a chance to see Metallica live next years. It's been ages since I've been to a live of theirs.

It surely has. I expected it to leak a lot earlier though.
And, there's no good rip yet neither. All are based on a 128Kbit WMA version.

Yes it did leak. A french store in Paris started to sell the album yesterday... well, they quickly asked them to stop selling it, but lots of CDs were already sold...
Lars took it really well :

If this thing leaks all over the world today or tomorrow, happy days. Happy days. Trust me. Ten days out and it hasn't quote-unquote fallen off the truck yet? Everybody's happy. It's 2008 and it's part of how it is these days, so it's fine. We're happy."
Btw, I'm not gonna listen to it before anyway. Metallica gave us lots of updates and lots of stuffs to listen already. I really respect them for that and I will buy the album on 12th September, no leaks before.

After listening to the album a few times I can say, I really like it, not my favorite Metallica Album (I never expected hat), but really a good record, although I must say I don't like Unforgiven III that much, it's just an okay song for me.

Btw, just to note this.. the sound on the album is shit compared to Guitar Hero III versions.. cos those aren't mixed.
You can actually play it loud without hearing distortion, buzzing sound and clipping.
