Like fantasy sports teams... but they're bands. Just for fun. Any genre, any number of musicians in the band. Make THE ULTIMATE COOLEST BANDS EVER! :P And unlike fantasy sports teams, there's no game and they don't do anything. They just sit there in your post looking cool, and you get to be impressed with yourself for thinking of such a kickass band.
There's only one rule: you can't use more than one person from the same real-life band in a fantasy band. So if you think of an ULTIMATE COOLEST BAND that has Pata in it, you can't have anyone else in it from X or PAF or Dope Headz or Ra:IN or something, or you CHEATED!
There isn't already a thread like this, is there? If there is then delete this one or merge or something.
So here's one of mine:
Vocals: Steven Tyler (Aerosmith)
Guitar: Tak Matsumoto (B'z)
Guitar: Slash (GNR)
Bass: Taiji
Drums: Tommy Lee (Motley Crue)
I'm guessing it would take them approximately 2 days before they all (except for Tak) start fighting and break up.
-
Cool Idea, so let's see:
Vocals: Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses)
Guitar: Mark Tremonti (Alter Bridge, Creed)
Guitar: Hizaki (Versailles)
Bass: Billy Sheehan (Mr Big)
Drums: Yoshiki
Keyboard: Alan Wilder (Depeche Mode)
So there is no way this band would last more than 2 hours with two dominant people like Axl and Yoshiki in it *g*
-
Cool idea, though I gotta think a little bit about it, haha!
Maybe:
Vocals: Alice Cooper
Guitar: Slash
Guitar: Joe Perry (only because I think in the Pink PV of Aerosmith he's the hottest centaur ever, haha )
Bass: Taiji
Drums: Eric Carr
-
I'd say Masaki Yamada/Akira Takasaki/Taiji Sawada/Munetaka Higuchi but that would be cheatin'...
Let's see...
Vocals: Ronnie James Dio [Dio, Elf, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, etc, etc...]
Guitar: Zakk Wylde [Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society, Pride & Glory...]
Guitar: Dimebag Darrell (RIP) [PanterA, Rebel Meets Rebel, Damageplan]
Bass: Taiji Sawada [X, Loudness, D.T.R, Cloud Nine, Otokaze...]
Drums: Aquiles Priester [Angra and some other bands I can't remember...]
Keyboards: Jon Lord [Deep Purple]
If that's not against the rules I wnat to come back and create a japanese-only one... Of course, Taiji will be in it too... xP

Oh yeah, sure, make as many as you want.
I want to make a visual band now... here, an extremely frightening psychedelic morbid artistic noise visual rock band with too many guitarists and way too many people in general:
Vocals: duet between Ozzy Osbourne and Morrie (Dead End)
Guitar: Sugizo (Luna Sea)
Guitar: hide
Guitar: Hisashi Imai (Buck-Tick)
Guitar: Hisashi (Glay)
Bass: Toshiya (Dir en grey), as the token feminine one because it's a visual band, OK?
Drums: Takeo (Pierrot), who is actually a really cool drummer
Keyboards/Noise/Whatever: Trent Reznor (NIN)
Gentleman, start your funny guitar noises...
-
Now my all japs dream team:
Vocals: Demon Kogure [Seikima II]
Guitar: Tak Matsumoto [B'z, TMG]
Guitar: Syu [Galneryus, Animetal, Valkyr, Aushvitz]
Bass: Naoto Shibata [Anthem] (to give Taiji a break... =P)
Drums: Yoshiki [Not the X-Japan Yoshiki... The good ol' Vanishing Vision Yoshiki...]
-
Vocals: Ronnie James Dio [Dio, Elf, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, etc, etc...]
Ronnie James Dio was in Black Sabbath?! Wow! Didn't know that before.
Hmmm.... btw. thanX for that, Ronny! XD : \m/

Yup, Ronnie was in Black Sabbath, and in my opinion recorded BS's greatest albums... He recorded "Heaven & Hell" in 1980, "Mob Rules" and "Evil Live" in 1981, and he joined Sabbath again in 1992, recording "Dehumanizer".
And now Ronnie is back together with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice in a group called Heaven & Hell (they couldn't name themzelves Black Sabbath because Ozzy owns that name)... Heaven & Hell released a single and a live album last year...
