Now, more than ever, I feel Yoshiki is definitely chasing after success as a brand, rather than a musician...I was talking to a colleague about the band yesterday, (they have absolutely no idea who they are), and it was kinda sad to say that after everything that happened in the late '90s - early '00s, the reunion resulted in a handful of studio singles, a couple of tours and...that's it.
I am eagerly awaiting Angel, don't misunderstand, but it is quite bittersweet. I think in some ways it would be better Yoshiki announcing that the band was done, rather than us waiting around to see what happens.
As to his fashion brand, odds are it will result in a show and, that's about it. Yoshiki has a tendency to start project after project after project, and never really go far with them...(sounds like me with my work!)
