From Xplosion:

At a press conference after the [hide memorial] ceremony, YOSHIKI excused ToshI's absence due to his busy recording schedule. According to Oricon's news report, YOSHIKI announced a concert at Yokohama Nissan Stadium in the middle of August. Though, nothing definite has been decided, yet. This concert is apparently meant to be a "real revival live" (本当の復活ライブ) of X JAPAN's activities.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Nissan stadium, opened in 1998, has a capacity of 72,327 people (for soccer matches, the seating capacity for concerts might differ). It hosted four matches during the 2002 FIFA world cup, including the final game of Brazil vs. Germany.
Isn't that a little....HUGE? ó_o
I mean, you won't see ANYthing from the back, even if there were big screens... >_<
Oh well, let's see if they'll play there at all... in my opinion that's way to close to Lollapalooza...
...When the morning begins
I'll be in the next chapter...
I'm sure they are doing this because I'm trying to plan a trip to Japan in July.....XD
It must be revenge for me saying that even if I could go to Lollapalooza, I wouldnt really want to go....XD
Yoshiki always chooses the biggest venues! ;D
I'll cross my fingers and toes for this.
Hopefully they're not biting more than they're able to swallow, since it's also so close to Lolla.
No, I'm not being pessimist... this is what I've been waiting for. And after all, Japan-lives are the most likely to succeed!
I will!
I think this is my last chance to watch X Japan Live, considering with Yoshiki's health and other members activities. They are so busy. I won't think they will keep X Japan's activities last long. They get older and older every year. :-p
BTW, there's a rumor about Countdown live @ Kyosera Stadium @ Osaka, but I can't make sure anything.
I think a lot of you get far to worried about how long the band will stay, Pata & Heath clearly love being in the band and I havn't seen them suggest anything otherwise, Sugizo will stay there to support the band and hide for as long as the band stays alive, as we all know Toshi gave lots of "I'm back I'm finally back!! I'll sing for everyone and for X until I'm at least 60!!" speeches at his last concert. Will Yoshiki damage his neck/back even worse at the Nissan concert? I don't think so, they have a variety of songs including the new ones which feature much less harder drum work, even if it being an outdoor concert brings back a classic song like Blue Blood/Silent Jealousy, they still have songs like I.V and all the ballads, he'll be fine.
Yoshiki said in some recent interview "I think my body will only last for four years, I'm heading towards destruction (drama queen ect.)" but as for this being the last concert, or even tour, I don't think so, it'll be a while yet before the band dispands again imo.
Also, apart from Yoshiki (unless he's actually careful about what he's doing), age has no affect on how long a band lives for, just look at Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Heaven and Hell ect.
nice venue and good place for epic X live.
I agree on the fact that from far behind you wont see much, but still a huge concert apart from Tokyo Dome is something.
Let hope it takes place.
But there's only one week between Lolla and mid-August... o_O I don't ever wanna be a part of their planning staff, haha xD
And, if this is a revival of their activities, can we hope for a european tour in autumn? *_*
I'm at my wits' end.
I think it will be a great venue for X Japan to perform at. Whilst Tokyo Dome is their spiritual home the venue itself has almost started to be a little bit cliche in regard to X Japan's reunion. Apart from Ajinomoto and Akasaka Blitz (which are both still in Tokyo), they haven't performed anywhere else.
It's a big stadium, but I don't think they will have a problem filling seats anywhere in Japan. Think of it as being a comparable experience to playing Wembley Football stadium in England, only just a little smaller.
My God, that stadium is enormous!!!
For X Japan concert I guess there will be no problem to fill it  :D
As usual, I'm not going, still having 2 university students to sponsor on my own  :D
But when they will come to Europe after Lollapalooza, after Nissan, after Osaka, after mayby Los Angeles, after I don't know whatever and whenever....I will be there for sure, TGV or driving my car being cheaper than far airplane travels is within my possibilities. Meet you then X freaks for the best X concert ever in Europe ;D
So no information about the new song, other than that it'll be preformed at Lollapalooza and the PV for it will be shot next month.
An advert for the live :)
X JAPAN
WORLD TOUR
Live in YOKOHAMA
超強行突破 七転八起~世界に向かって~
14/8(sat) 再会の夜
15/8(sun) 真夏の夜
Google translate(which is not reliable at all) says:
Vicissitudes of life break through to the world - ultra-
14 / 8 (sat) night  reunion
15 / 8 (sun) A Midsummer Night
If anyone can translate it would be greatly appreciated.
I'll try and translate it but I fear I cannot do a much better job than Google!
"With great force, breaking through/overcoming...writhing in pain, bound for the world".
Agh, sorry, sounds weird.  Anyone else want to have a go?
I understand those words because I’m Japanese, but it’s a bit difficult to say in English because there’s no exact translation for “超強行突破” and “七転八起”.
Anyway, I’ll try to explain, so please take these just for reference ;)
超強行突破 (Chou-kyoukou-toppa)
“Chou” is a word that is used to emphasize the following word, like “super“, “ultra“, “mighty” and others.
“Kyoukou-toppa” means to force one’s way through something that is basically difficult to break through or overcome.
七転八起 (Shichiten-hakki or Nanakorobi-yaoki)
Literal translation: To fall seven times, and rise again eight times.
Meaning: Never to give up and to overcome the failure and carry through with what you’re doing, even if failing again and again.
世界に向かって (Sekai ni mukatte): To/Toward the world
再会の夜 (Saikai no yoru): Night of reunion
真夏の夜 (Manatsu no yoru): Midsummer night
I can't believe my eyes, the official X Japan home page has updated its news section with information about tickets...that's the first update since January! Now all they need to do is take that badly out dated banner of the Taipei concert, (yes, it actually happened, congratulations) and replace it with something...anything current!
