Hi guys,
looking at popping my tattoo virginity with an X Japan tattoo and looking for ideas/suggestions. I made a quick 30 minute one in photoshop but I dunno.. there's something missing?? I like it but I cant help but feel like it needs something else or something changing.. here's my first idea:

I was thinking maybe the scroll needs a bit of colour.. but what colour? Does anyone else have ideas based around this or maybe even new ideas? Has anyone designed any nice X Japan logo's they want to share and maybe permanently have your work of art on my body? :D

I know quite a few people have X Japan tattoos, here are some examples from a French fan:

Did you consider their current logo design? You could do black and white or a black X (with a bit of white shading for a more 3D effect) with traditional Japanese colouring for the dragon and incorporate a blue rose into the design as a tribute to hide.

I did consider the new logo but I'm unsure about the dragon, it looks a bit... meh. Thats the only way I can think of explaining it :P
Thats why i was thinking original logo with some extra stuff added to it/around it

I'm hoping to get the phoenix coloured in. Its to try and symbolise how X JAPAN have "risen from the ashes" like the phoenix. I know its not perfect but I like it :D

I spoke to the guy who is doing it for me, he's going to play around with that image and try a few different looks (phoenix wings over the x, phoenix coloured in) and I'm booked in for tuesday next week :D :D :D He'll show me the designs he's done and if I dont like them, I can just stick to my original design.. wooooo! one week to go :D
