Title: X-Freaks own wikipedia, namesuggestions onegai ^^
Post by: Sander on January 06, 2007, 09:50:48 AM: So I'v been looking into this whole making-the-webpage thingie and I started to like the idea of wikipedia style page. Now, the whole page won't come wiki-style just most of it.

After abit working on it I got a sample wiki page working (http://www.x-freaks.com/wikiX, nothing there really) and running. Now what I need for it is a NAME! :) That's right a name for the X-Freaks Wikipedia. And if we get enough we will hold a vote for the best name :)

I really don't have any good names on my head right now so I'll just pop down some most logical choises:

Xipedia
wikiX
wikX

:oops:

SUGGEST! :P

Also, I have a question: why a wiki on top of the forum? What is the purpose? What do you want to go in there?

Since I don't believe that an absolute comment like that is justified when you can only talk about your own opinion.

And if everybody goes around making absolute statements instead of making it clear it's just personal opinion, it usually ends up in huge fights about who is right and who is wrong.

But if everybody makes it clear it's about opinions, then at least you can agree to disagree and don't need to fight. Which makes all around for more pleasant talking.

Uhum, I always assumed that to be the case . . .

Why are you renting a server in the first place? There should be plenty of hosting plans that can accommodate X-Freaks . . .

HA yea right I want some(million) ads and pop ups, that come in package with the low connection speed, unstable servers and no guarantee that the server will stay up for longer than few months (with all the files gone after that)... And the fee I pay right now is extremley reasonable (about €2/month+€9/year= €33/year total).

I didn't say so called "free" hosting with all that crap. :P

But the deal you have is indeed extremely reasonable and not much more expensive than the hosting I had in mind.

Actually, if you wanted to do that, google ads could probably for it, maybe . . .
