General chat / Re: X-Japan Homepage hacked by Muslims !
« on: July 17, 2011, 07:49:15 AM »
Yep.

Those people did not hack the X Japan website because they were Muslim. They did it because they were either bored people wanting to stir shit or people whose faith is being used as a way to manipulate and control them by people looking for a way to manipulate and control others. Either way though, they give good, honest people who practice the teachings of the Koran a bad name.

Taiji / Re: taiji is arrested in the U.S.?
« on: July 17, 2011, 07:43:14 AM »
Man, I was going to post in this thread after the first post saying I hoped the Taiji Sawada mentioned in the original post wasn't "our" Taiji but it appears it was. I hope he gets the help he needs to work through his demons.

hope it comes as a physical release!

Same here! Be great to walk into a store selling CDs and finally being able to leave with something by X.

« on: June 13, 2011, 03:13:35 AM »
Yep. Was hoping for a nice old school harmonized solo when the trailer was released but guess it was not to be. Doesn't take away from the song, but would have been cool. Maybe next new song.

Yoshiki / Re: Yoshiki's new XM radio show, "Yoshiki Radio"
« on: May 31, 2011, 03:26:36 PM »
Heh, funny thing is I went to a show the other day and, coincidentally, Vampires Everywhere were opening for this one as they did during the North American leg of the world tour and while me and my friend didn't talk to that many people while waiting in line (partially because there was barely anybody, If there were more than 100 people there I'd be surprised) the people we did had at least a vague idea of who X were when we mentioned having previously seen Vampires open for them. So take that, Stern.  :P Now, to check on youtube to see if anybody has uploaded any of Yoshiki's taking a stab at DJ'ing.

Yoshiki / Re: Yoshiki is putting his "Kawai" crystal piano on auction
« on: April 21, 2011, 03:09:13 PM »
So the bid was bullshit? Damn. I just saw it mentioned on the news on my TV guide channel but I guess they haven't updated it since all it said was "Piano from Japanese musician gets $73 million bid - unclear if genuine".

Sugizo / Re: New LUNA SEA SONG! finally!
« on: April 19, 2011, 11:58:57 AM »
(Hoo eee, been awhile since I've posted on here.)

I agree. Wasn't too crazy about it first time I heard it either (was hoping they would have released Maria instead after hearing it on youtube) but after listening to it again I quite liked it.

News / Re: New X JAPAN Song "Scarlet Love Song"
« on: December 27, 2010, 02:47:56 PM »
Some news!

Sounds like it could be a new "epic" type ballad. If the solo doesn't involve Pata and Sugizo harmonizing and the song isn't over five minutes in length I will be quite surprised.

...I think Ryuichi stole my hair style. And I echo the setlist praise! New Year's show being broadcast is pretty nice too. May try to hunt down a stream.  :P

Albums/Singles / Re: X Japan New Album (What?)
« on: October 22, 2010, 12:41:10 AM »
Wait a minute if it REALLY is half new and have old songs....

Old:
1. Rusty Nail
2. Kurenai
3. X
4. Endless Rain

New:
1. Jade
2. Born To Be Free
3. I.V.
4. Without You?

....There's no way Art of Life is going to fit, even if it's the radio version..

That's what I figure it'll be; with the english version of Tears added to the old songs list and possibly the song Sugizo apparently wrote to the new. I'd be surprised if X wasn't on it too.

Gah, wishing I brought my camera right about now.

Hope your friend can get his journal posted. I'm shocked none of the major publications mentioned it, even as a "hey, this is different" kind of blurb.

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: X-Japan World Tour Round-up
« on: October 12, 2010, 02:06:17 AM »
I'd ceartinly say it was a sucess. Only one sell out but from what I've read there was only one show that was sort of under sold, which is pretty good for a seven city tour relying nearly exclusively on word of mouth and I've never been part of a more enthusiastic crowd. And any store carrying X Japan stuff is alright by me. Being able to buy one of thier albums here in Canada would be great. I got nothing against the Hot Topic crowd.  :P

13
A future X meetup has to be in the cards! Bag of truth and all, LOL! XD

Perhaps I can regain my title. Ha ha.

And thanks for posting those articles Hypno.

Man, that was my most memorable concert going experience; by far.

14
Now... that there was a concert!

And was quite cool meeting everyone too. :)

15
Yyyyes!  :D

Just an hour and a half and Slypher/Adam and I'll be heading to the train station then (after a day doing whatever, ha ha) it shall be X time.

16
Ha ha! Man, I hope if any of those guys are the sensitive type they haven't be checking X Japan message boards.  :-X

I'll be the guy wearing red and blue with glasses and longish brown hair spending $0 on merch as my funds are currently lacking (cursed book deposit!).

17
Well according to this http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/x-japan/2010/queen-elizabeth-theatre-vancouver-bc-canada-1bd52db4.html looks like the setlist was the same (I'm assuming Forever Love was played over the speakers at the end of the set).

18
thanks to my media relations with all the press in town, im now hooked up back stage at QE..currently on the stage in awwweeee

gonna meet the band later..
and interview vampires everywhere....bwahaha

AWESOME!

Guess this goes without saying, but have a good time.  :D

19
I concur! Silent Jealousy wasn't a big surprise but the fact they're playing even just the second half of Art of Life came as a nice one.

Offtopic / Re: What instrument(s) do you play?
« on: September 30, 2010, 12:23:20 PM »
My main instrument is bass, which I am self-taught at. Been playing for five years or so.

Guitar on the other hand, which I play around with on ocassion, is a totally different story. I can play pretty simple stuff, but anything involving chords, not so much.

21
YES!

Nine days, ladies and gentleman.  ;)

As my little girl started her second week of school I took an assesment that will result in me getting back into school for the first time since '04 and on the road to a college education. Everything's coming up Milhouse Aaron/Unoriginal Name X!

23
I see. Damn, hoping they were selling some CDs too. Ah well, I probably won't have any money for merch anyways.  :P

24
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but what kind of merchandise were they selling?

25
Aghh! If that wasn't part of the show I think somebody is gonna looking for work tomorrow. Hopefully nobody was hurt if it wasn't planned.

26
That could work. Or somebody could hold up a sign or something. Y'know, sorta like how on TV whenever a character arrives at an airport and there's a limo waiting for them the driver is there holding a sign with thier name on it. Ha ha.

27
I got my dad's old record of it sitting in my closet but unfortunately have nothing to play it on so it's digital for me. The cover's fallen apart and smells like wet basement but the vinyl it's self is in pretty good shape.

28
Happy 41st!

29
Slypher and I'll probably be there pretty early too. I'll have to take the night off from my night schooling, but eh, they said "work at my own pace" so I'm holding 'em to it.
