Welcome to the fandom! It's always warming to see that X manages to attract new fans as well!
This section allows you to view all posts made by this member. Note that you can only see posts made in areas you currently have access to.
I have changed the header to something more personal...Good work! The process of turning this forum into a glittery-pants-appreciation-forum may begin
Maybe you have to reload or empty your cache to see the shoes of our beloved musicians...
Hello, I'm a guy
look, there is a butterfly!
My name is Julien and I was born in 1987. In the first place I didn't like X Japan because of all the hype about HIDE. Later I discovered a band called X from Japan. They had this one album, "Vanishing Vision" which I'd heard a couple 100 times. And then, still not aware they were the same, I bought myself "Blue Blood". I was shocked how great it was. And I was more shocked when I realised, that it was this shitty band with this HIDE and the drama queen YOSHIKI So, to all the haters, yes, I deserve yours. Give it to me ^___^
Why am I into japanese music? Maybe I'm tired of all the western stuff and I also liked Anime and Manga since the late 90s... I spend my holidays regularly in japan. I started being an X fan about 2004 or so, but not as an active member in an international community and I wanted to change this now.
Oh, and my wife is also a member in this forum ^_____^
Hi everyone, matsumoto here! My name is Lucy, I'm 27 and I curently live in Paris, France. I've been a fan of the band since around 2004 and... hey, it's safe to say it's a long-lasting love affair! I first joined this forum around 2007 and it truly is a source of great memories.
Besides X, I like Star Wars, rock and metal in general, motorcycles, cringe comedy and plenty of other nerdy stuff.
I currently work in journalism, but I'm thinking of tossing my corporate self to the wind so I can just chill and open a cat café somewhere. Nice to meet you all!
Hi Everyone I'm Fluffy! Well that's not my actual name and i'm not actually 'fluffy' but I am a lover of all cute and fluffy things. I'm 35 (sigh..☹) from the UK and have developed a healthy/unhealthy love of our Japanese rockers after seeing them at the Wembley concert in 2017. When i'm not slaying inner demons and trying to construct a real 'adult' life I am often found in the chatroom, sometimes trying to speak bad French on the French chat section or just sitting in the 'Endless Rain' waiting for Toshi, Yoshiki or Sugizo to turn up at my door with blue roses and take me on a date
I think we should all take a step back and wait to see that nothing bad has happened first. Yoshiki has people to post on Twitter for him and they didn't make the announcement either, which means whatever they planned on announcing didn't line up. We don't know what or maybe even WHO was involved that might have changed things.Oh, the fact that Yoshiki's/X's staff is pretty incompetent is long known in the fandom...
Mods, please let me know if this belongs elsewhere.Yep, it is.
Mods? They are all gone years agoHmmm whatever do you mean?
Personally I hope that X Japan will create music for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.I think it's more probable (if they go down that route) that it'll be a Yoshiki project, akin to the tracks he made for the Emperor's coronation anniversary or Golden Globes. Or Hello Kitty....
Why the fuck not. It looks great! Except maybe for the skirt...
Maybe he will finally announce the album, too.Oh he has announced the album plenty of times So even if he does, I wouldn't get too hyped.
It would be weird, since he has the rights to I.V., which was also written for a movie soundtrack, and not a small, unknown movie as well. But the only other option I can think of would be that Yoshiki himself doesn't like SLS...Maybe SLS hasn't been performed at bigger concerts due to some copyright issues?
I can't imagine a living legend like Yoshiki not getting performance rights to any song he composes for a Japanese movie recorded with his own band. I mean you might be on to something since I can't come up with anything better, but it'd be pretty strange too, when I think about it.
And "emotional fans" as a selling point... is a bit weird. Somehow I don't feel very represented as a fan, either, haha.It seems more to please the existing fangirls than to get new fans...
I'm surprised the guy who does the podcast has been able to get such good guests, hahaApparently it's only a matter of being confident and writing to people. But seriously, in the interviews I've heard this far (up to episode 5) the people have seemed really chill and happy to discuss their experiences.
