Has anyone heard the song Little Bitch by The Specials?
If not, here you go
The Specials-Little Bitch (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OBMQV929)
The beginning sounds a lot like Spread Beaver's Ever Free.
Was one of Spread Beaver's members a big Ska/Specials fan?
-
Yeah it kinda does. I don't know if any of them were fans though. This reminds me of two other songs that also sound like X songs;
Hellhound - Metal Zone; (Break The Darkness)
Galneryus - My last Farewell. (Rusty Nail)
I'll upload them.

If you don't like megaupload (like me :P ), then here are the Youtube links:
The Specials- Little Bitch (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvqvI7-i5fE)
Galneryus - My last Farewell (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuILAx-5BoE)
Didn't find the Hellhound song, tell me if you do ;)

Ok, I think hide has a thing for the Specials. When you listen to Lassie, before the end, you hear somebody say: One, Two! This is cut from the original version of Little Bitch. Ha, I solved the mistery on my own

Yeah, hide was incorporating his influences in his songs, and those are pretty clear. Another influence in one of his songs are from the Sex Pistols, listen to (I'm not your) Stepping Stone, then go listen to Beauty and Stupid.

you mean the monkees? right? :P http://youtube.com/watch?v=7-XgmUqTt7I
it's not just hide. every body copies. everyone is influenced or inspired to do something.

No I don't mean the monkees. hide was a fan of the sex pistols, I'm 100% sure he didn't get his idea off of listening to the monkees.

and you're missing the point.
the sex pistols copied that song from the monkees, hide probably copied that song from them.
so what? seriously. why do all western fans make a big deal when music sounds similar? asian people aren't the only ones.
everyone copies. even steven tyler and gene simmons are proud to admit they copied everyone else with "no ounce of originality in me".
-
no, you're missing the point, i don't know why you're bringing the topic of copying, yes the monkees did the song, but hide more than likely got his idea from the sex pistols (which got it from the monkees), how hard is that to understand? I'm not even saying that it was bad for them to copy the song, so why are you lecturing me on copying/originality?

why did you even post that? that's totally irrelevant.

I like the way people who love Spread Beaver's music keep listen to the same kind of music than listen to other bands of the same members.
