(Yes, he drinks coffee out of a skull.)
(the question just before the part at the grave)
the interviewer asked about: talk about the saddening situation back then
Yoshiki: Lets not talk about it
(when he first spoke whilte at the grave)
" (this time) i came here on impulse, in the past im always here with my mom"
I would be extremely interested in a full translation...if anyone has the time.
I always got the idea that Voiceless Screaming was about how Toshi had to overcome loneliness and depression by saying what's on his mind rather than letting others step all over him. (something like that) Throughout the song, he starts out alone, then starts to give into the "voiceless screaming" inside and speak out. And even when he's thrown back, he tries to move forward again.
That's what I got from it, at least! I'm not able to explain it very well, though. But, from what I know about Toshi, it makes sense to me.
Episode -TOSHI DUET I-
Hello. I’m Wanku!
30.9.2008 the first of Toshi’s duet collection - "Toshi duet I - Towa ni tabi suru koto“ - went on sale.
The song "Towa ni tabi suru koto“ was originally "The Prayer“, a song by Carole Bayer Sager & David Foster, (Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli’s duet song) which was newly rewritten to a beautiful love song by Masaya.
"The heart which was hurt is now breaking with love, I can‘t hold you in my arms forever“
Losing a beloved person, no matter how much you love them, no matter how much it hurts, you can’t hold them in your arms anymore(forever).
Such a beautiful, sad, everlasting love song is performed by Toshi and the new singer Tierra.
(This song sounds with) Toshi’s baritone voice and Tierra’s husky voice so sad…
"The two of us will be together forever, surpassing the stars, exceeding the time, because we’re one“
The second song „Shounen“ is a song written by Masaya more than ten years ago.
Originally, this song was recorded on Kurabuchi Masaya‘s album "Oozora wo tobu tori no you ni“. [it’s an old album of his, at the time Masaya probably wrote his "full“ name on it, so that’s why it’s used here]
I like this song very much *heart*.
"Your eyes, shining like those of a little boy; I love more that anything else, that’s why…“
"Please never leave those innocent, childlike, glittering dreams behind“
No matter how old you become, man or woman
When you can keep the glittering eyes of a child, innocent childlike dreams, won’t lose them, give them up or abandon them, when you can live like this (with those dreams) it’s really great, isn’t it…
Speaking about the recording
I always accompany Toshi, when he is recording but I would never think that (this time) I would be the one recording. I wouldn’t even dream (about it).
There wasn’t much time to decide [the preparations seem to have been done in a hurry], when the recording will take place, which songs are going to be recorded… I really can’t recollect all of it precisely.
In the beginning, Tierra was the one who was to sing both "Shounen“ and "Towa ni tabi suru koto“ with Toshi.
In order to teach Tierra, who didn’t know the melody of "Shounen“, I was suddenly told: "Wanku, sing, quickly!“ [she was told to sing it for Tierra to get familiar with the melody]
Tierra was told about it and…
"Wanku sings?!?!“
I was unwilling. Masaya and Toshi said: „Quickly, quickly!“
I thought that I would be protected by Toshi and he would stop this but on the contrary, he happily recommended me.
"Thaaaaat BETRAYER!!! (>___<)”
And so I recorded the song after many years of not singing.
When I was singing in the recording booth with headphones on, Masaya and Toshi decided that “Shounen” will be Toshi&Wanku duet, they told me much later.
“For Tierra’s practise...” I bravely sang the melody and I never thought that it will actually end up on the CD...
So this is how Toshi&Wanku‘s „duet of married couple“ came into being…
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
