Title: Where to buy tickets for Paris in beginning of October !
Post by: Lucs on August 26, 2008, 07:51:10 PM
As it seems that some non-french speaking people are worried about getting ticket, I thought of opening this sticky topic so everyone will find the information easily.

There are two main websites from where you'll be able to order your ticket for X Japan show on 22nd November in Paris - Bercy beginning of october.

Ticketnet : http://www.ticketnet.fr/shop/en/accueil.asp (which is also in English)
Avosbillets: http://www.avosbillets.com (which is also in English)

You can TOTALLY trust these websites. If you know any other good and trustable place to buy them, just post the link here :)

Thanks to Zwanster (http://www.x-freaks.com/forum/index.php?topic=2874.0) who first thought about posting these links for those who didn't know where to buy tickets :)

Lucs is right, those two sites are very reliable.
I bought the tickets for Versailles' show in Paris from fnac and it all went perfectly well ;)

Anyone knows how you can pay your tickets on these sites, cause I still don't own a credit card and I have the feeling that his could become a problem *g*

For ticketnet.fr it seems it's only with credit card
Quote
This method of payment is always an available option. After selecting the card of your choice (Carte Bleue, Visa or Mastercard), you then enter your card number, expiry date and the security code on the back of the card.
We have adopted SSL encryption for secure credit card payment ensuring the confidentiality of your credit card data. This means that from the moment they are entered by you and transferred via the Internet, they are impossible to read.

and for Fnac... the webiste is down at the moment... so I will take a look later

By the way, it doesn't always have to be a credit card, as in the card with which you can spend more than you have. I can make 'virtual cards' for internet shopping with one of my bank accounts and I'll get a card which can be used as a credit card from my other bank (you can't spend more than you have with either, but they both otherwise act like credit cards). Those options are only available for people over 18 though.

FNAC is credit card only too.

Don't you know anyone who has a credit card and could buy the ticket for you Matthias ?

God I can't wait, I booked all of next week off (so unessceceary but it HAS to go 100% right!).
Also, looking at the site with the X concert info on, does the little diagram of the seating plan for the show seem to suggest its all seating round the edges and no floor? I'm thinking this because all of the sides are labelled with sections but the BIG space in the middle hasn't got anything on it, not even "Standing" or anything, either way I don't mind, as long as I get there I don't care if I have to sit or stand to be honest.

Also, it looks like you can pay by cheque on ticketnet so looks like its no biggie if you don't have a credit card.
Ps thanks for the props Lucs  ;D

yeah I also get the impression that there is no standing. I don't really mind where I sit as long as I get to experience them live and do the X jump ;)

No, this diagramm is just the "standard" one... they put this one just to show how Bercy looks like that's it.

They'll update it with the ticket categories and all when they know it !

I'm getting pretty nervous as September 5th creeps closer too.  Luckily I have that day off work anyway, so I can stand by my computer for purchasing tickets - but am hoping that there will be lots of X-freaks to meet up with over in Paris too, as I am one of the people who will be travelling over on my own  8)

Yeah! we definitely need to plan some meet up as I know a lot of people from UK are going by themselves so It would be good if we can X Jump together :) but yeah there is plenty of time to plan that later on.

Hey, I found a site that appears to be dealing with X Japan tickets, they are legit apparently as my dad has used them in both selling and buying capacities before.  I will still be tryin to get tickets on release too but have got a ticket down on here as well...can always just refund it if i get it else where.  Seatwave say Vendors use their marketplace to sell though they are not linked to any vendors.

www.seatwave.com

one of my avenues to get tickets hopefully so figured i'd share it.

If that is real :O so expensive... how do they expect to fill all bercy when selling tickets at that cost :S.

Though it won;t stop me.
Title: Re: Where to buy tickets for Paris in beginning of October !
Post by: Sander on September 12, 2008, 09:57:39 PM
I think they are selling expensive tickets to you and when the real tickets go on sale, which should be much cheaper, they'll just buy those and give to you...
Title: Re: Where to buy tickets for Paris in beginning of October !
Post by: Overdose on September 13, 2008, 01:12:01 AM
Well I guess it means that if i cant get a ticket on release, i wont be as disapointed, a bit more out of pocket but nonetheless I would have paid £200 to see X Japan lol

Besides if i do land a release ticket for cheaperi will just refund this one, theres also the chance i may get a press pass from a family members girlfriend who has big press contacts but thats not defo.

Yeah that's just another site that just buys ticket at the normal price when they are on sale and resale them at a very high price.

Really, there's no need to buy it there, they won't sell out in a day...

Are you sure, theres ONE European tour date all all the fans of X Japan in europe going for tickets...I think that they could maybe go quite fast especially seeing how many X fans went to both Paris Japan Expos.
Title: Re: Where to buy tickets for Paris in beginning of October !
Post by: AsukaMiyu on September 13, 2008, 01:12:09 PM
Oh, keep in mind that not everyone lining up for some press conference or video is an X fan, or and X fans that would go see them in a concert... That aside, the people there weren't enough to make me think "Oh now the concert will be sold out in 2 minutes!!!". And I was at both Japan Expos.... >_<;;;

Well, either way the real ticket prices will be an important thing for not-so-big-X-fans when they have to decide wether to go there or not....

That there's only one date will make that lot of fans won't be able to go (me, for example).

Oh its unfortunate you can't go darkcat as you deserve to :( . But I understand what you are saying. I know a lot of people who are X fans but due to the date cannot make it for school or work related commitments. It's a shame as fans of X deserve to see them live and yeah I don't think it will sell out in one day.

If you put the effort in, I don't see why people seem to be concerned that they'll not get any tickets. The only hard part is getting tickets in your desired location, which will turn out to be everybody else's preference. I don't like the idea of putting my faith in an effectively online ticket tout service. Far too unreliable for me. If I can get tickets for a band as popular as Muse and get pretty decent seating, i'm pretty sure I can get tickets for X Japan. A band that hardly had any international coverage especially in europe...no matter how multicultural Paris and France is as a whole.

I've seen on the web at Bercy:http://www.bercy.fr/infos_pratiques/reglement (http://www.bercy.fr/infos_pratiques/reglement), in the "Infos Practice" in the regulation specifies that it is forbidden inside the stadium to take pictures with or without flash:

Enregistrements : Tout enregistrement quel qu'il soit (sonore, film, audiovisuel) est interdit avant, pendant et après le spectacle.

Les appareils photographiques, les caméras appareils enregistreurs ou autres, sont interdits dans l'enceinte de la salle.

Toute photo est interdite, avec ou sans flash. Les contrevenants se verront confisquer leurs appareils à l'entrée de la salle.

Actually, these places already sell tickets. But at pretty ridiculous prices!

getmein.com
worldticketshop.com
http://www.seatwave.com/x-japan-tickets/bercy-arena-paris-tickets/22-november-2008/perf/154851

And I find it pretty weird that no official announcement has been made, that suddenly, different sorts of places sell tickets for the show just from out of nothing?
Title: Re: Where to buy tickets for Paris in beginning of October !
Post by: Sander on October 03, 2008, 10:29:46 AM
They sell the tickets, which they don't have now, at big prices and when the real tickets come on sale they'll buy as much as they can and give to the buyers, that way they get a big profit for themselves.

It's funny how the concert in Seoul is the furthest away, but the only one with a definitive ticket sale date and the only X Japan website that doesn't look like it was pieced together out of old bits of used toilet paper.

I hope not, cause I can order it only at the evening. And what really annoys me a little bit is the fact, that there are still no prices for the tickets. They can't come along like 'Oh yeah, now the ticketsale starts and btw a ticket costs what the site says'.

This makes me so happy!!!!!!!!!!!

Over the last two days I'd been getting so depressed over the fact that nothing has been forthcoming. I was sure it was all going to go to hell again. Even something as vague as this makes me feel so much better.

While everyone is worrying about it selling out too quickly, am I the only one worrying about them not selling enough tickets for it to be worth their while?

Really starting to consider cancelling my flights etc. If the tickets don't go on sale by next week or are over £100 I'm not going. I love X and everything but after paying to go in July and having that all messed up and now having this gig messed around I'm not sure if it's worth it. I would love to go and see them it's just it doesn't seem well organised at all and it really is starting to seem I've got my hopes up for nothing again. If we just had something definate and not some half-arsed comments from different sources I might be feeling abit more positive but atm there really isn't anything positive for the Paris live. We just know that it's apparently happening but they said that about the July live aswell. I know it wasn't Yoshiki's fault and I'm glad he took time out to make sure he was 100% but you'd have thought they'd do their best to reassure the Europeon fans about the new Paris live. Delaying the tickets was bad enough but it's October now they should say when we can actually purchase them. They did say early October and it's quickly becoming the middle of October. Sorry for being so negative but lack of news and everything else is starting to crush my spirit a bit.

At the end of the day it's the band's loss. If they really think they can get a good attendance out of a seventeen thousand capacity with minimal time for ticket sales they have another thing coming. In my opinion X would struggle to fill 10 thousand alone in Europe without all of the ticket sale hassle.

It's our loss as well though if they don't sell enough tickets to warrant playing the show, or if they play the show and there are hardly any people there. They really are messing around with this whole thing, Yoshiki might well brag about this being the biggest solo concert a japanese band has played outside of Japan, but not a single ticket has been sold yet. What the hell could the hold up possibly be? I really don't understand what they're doing here.

If the show goes ahead and only 6 people go it will be hugely embarrassing, not just for the band but also for us.

This is how I see it:

X Japan are not the biggest Japanese act overseas, that honour usually falls to Dir en grey or Miyavi. When either tour worldwide they play venues usually no larger than 2000, which they don't always fill. The SKIN show was a 4000 capacity show, which did not sell out. Does Yoshiki really think X can come close to selling out Bercy? Even with 5 years worth of advance ticket sales it seems unlikely. They might be able to do it in Asia, but not Europe.
Title: Re: Where to buy tickets for Paris in beginning of October !

Youre right Beauty/ Broken. Bercy is a really huge venue - too huge for an act like X. Of course X are one of the biggest acts ever in Japan but in Europe they are not very famous. I think its not possible that X are selling more than 10 000 tickets... maybe they are not even selling 5000... I dont know.
X should play in a little venue... like the one for the Countdown Live... that would be better for the band and for us...

That would make me feel alot better. Maybe that's what all of the delay is? They're switching too a different venue (I seriously doubt it, but you never know). Of course, this is a show for the whole of Europe, rather than the likes of Diru who play a few concerts in each country, and it's probably going to be the only one they  ever do here. So they should get a few more people on account of that. But planning trips takes time, and they haven't really given us that. I have flights booked already, but people that have waited for tickets, in light of the events of July, mightn't be able to afford to get there now, and so the potential attendance is dropping. As I said, why would they do this? It's utter insanity!

Edit: btw, haven't L'arc En Ciel played in France to audiences of 4-6,000?

Edit 2: L'arc's first US concert was actually to 12,000 people. I bet it was better organised though o_Ó and it was at the Otakon thing.

Not exactly 10-17,000 people though is it?

I dunno. I fully intend to go, as I say I have my flights booked already. I just hope that X and 10,000 other people turn up to keep me company.

On the french forum, some people got in contact with Bercy. Most of the time, they said the ticket SHOULD go on sale tomorrow (not confirmed). But some said they just have no info about it.

So let's hope they go on sale tomorrow :)

And RoseOfPain, that's just ANOTHER website who's just gonna buy tickets on ticketNet so they can sell them at a high price. Better wait.

Nobody, NOWHERE can get ANY ticket before ticketnet starts selling them.

Yeah that's my bet aswell. It would be like the youtube video all over again except worse. I really wish someone would turn round and tell us when the tickets go on sale though. I'm thinking another delay is imminent to be honest. I'm not sure what my feelings about the live are anymore. Since the November gig got mentioned I've gone from ecstatic to not so happy to annoyed to very pissed off and now I'm just neutral with it I guess.

Part of me is thinking that if so much has got delayed and gone wrong already what is the actual concert itself going to be like? I don't doubt X's skills I just doubt everything going to plan and being what it could be. I'm thinking we're going to get a half arsed show not because of X but because of whoever is organising the damn thing. I don't want anything other then 'proper' X if you get what I mean? I know I can't have hide and Taiji back in the band and everything perfect that way but I want what we do have to be as close to perfect as possible. A true X show like so many before us have gotten. I don't know if I'm making much sense but yeah.

Meh. I don't know what to think anymore :/
They seem so sure about it being held, but without the tickets..

I'm not sure if I should buy flight tickets and stuff. Even if there's no concert, a trip to Paris would be nice, but I'd just go about grumbling that I really should have been at a concert that day XD

That is true :D

Anyway, I'm not saying Yoshiki doesn't have ANYTHING to do with the organisation of the concert, but I do think he's not the only one taking care of it, so if there's someone to blame he shouldn't be always the first and only in my opinion.

Btw, I have to say this whole situation is getting quite ridiculous, but for now I choose to stay positive and hope for the best without complaining much, I'll have plenty of time to do it if the concert gets postponed again,if that happens I'll unleash all my fury. 8)

It's not exactly a 'con' but you'd be getting ripped off something awful. All this considering that they have as much chance of getting the tickets as the general public do. Providing you're monitoring the ticket situation and you are on the website as soon as they are released for sale, there is no reason that you won't get the position you want to stand/sit in.

They're just ticket touts only the online version and subsequently far less reliable of you actually getting something in return for your money. For example...would you buy a dvd off a website which get's it's stock from amazon.co.uk but doubles the retail price? Or would you go and buy it straight off amazon? Same thing! The only difference is seatwave is claiming it has tickets...which it clearly doesn't.

I don't think getting your tickets in "seatwave" packaging justifies the extra £100+ ticket pricing to be honest.

I don't really think you can say that now is the beginning of October anymore, so shouldn't they at least announce it that there is yet another delay or something. If everything is planed I don't see why they wouldn't come...
I'm still confident. I think it's only a probleme of comunication... things change a lot between Japan and France... I'm sure it must be difficult to plan everything well.

Yesterday I contact with Bercy:

Bercy: "The concert has been held, but production has not yet communicated the date for reservations tickets for the X Japan, despite the very strong demand."

And I asked them: But you can't contact with the production?

Bercy: "Precisely, it is already done and expected news."

According to the BXTE website there's a rumour going around that the live has been postponed yet again.

I'm hoping this is a fake.

Let's hope for more or at least some official announcement the next days.

Yeah, I already have the flight-tickets (non-refundable) and the hotel booked, so I'm going to Paris anyways.. But then I won't have any money to go to the concert if it's postponed.. So I pray to god (though I'm not christian) that the concert isn't postponed ;D

If this is true, then I'll probably give up completely.

They better do something good at the gig, possibly play Rose of Pain (or another song they haven't played in a while), or cover a hide song. Having said that, Yoshiki will probably collapse and the gig will end early.

If it will be postponed I'm gonna be really annoyed, and even more because of the lack of information. A statement like 'Just to inform you gig is postponed, cause we are not able to get our asses to france' will not satisfy my ;)

But of course I will go to their concert if they decide to come (whenever).

Regarding refundable tickets, I'm not sure whether I'd go to Paris if it was postponed.. I've only paid about 350 SEK in advance, but the trip itself would cost atleast ~1500 SEK just for travel and living. I guess I'd skip it then and wait till they'd actually come here, which probably would have the excellent timing of my final exams.  :-\

What darkcat21 is posting is a rumour from 2ch, from one single person that has received tomorrows issue of Sanspo where he claims they say this.

Also, aren't they saying press conference _about_ the 22nd? EDIT: OK, doesn't, misread it.

If that message is assumed true, then there will be a live in Finland...

EDIT2: OK, it seems it was just trolling. Nothing new here, so far.

OF COURSE the concerts gonna be postponed.
Title: Re: Where to buy tickets for Paris in beginning of October !
Post by: Kaunis on October 19, 2008, 10:56:05 PM
I think it's quite likely to be postponed to be honest. I hope it isn't but with the lack of ticket sales in early october like we were promised and no new news what else are we supposed to think? As great as X are they won't sell out the Bercy in a month. I doubt they'll be able to sell even half the tickets not with how unorganised it seems to have been. I dunno if it does get postponed yet again I hope they move it to the Japan expo.

I'm going to cross my fingers and hope the concert hasn't been postponed since the next chance I'll get to check the site will be at college tomorrow and somehow I don't think anyone will be pleased with my reaction if it's confirmed to be true. I'm going to teach them swear words they've never even heard of:)

EDIT: Right I've just looked on the Nous Productions website and I can't find anything about X on there at all. They're not under artists or on the dates for upcoming concerts at all. Here's the website: http://www.nousproductions.com/ My French isn't that good but I couldn't see anything on there. So for now I'm going to completely ignore the rumour and pretend I never heard it.

On this flyer you can see the Nous Productions logo though: http://orient-extreme.net/index.php?menu=musique&sub=actu&article=1708

That still doesn't mean that the rumour is true, but there's no doubt Nous Productions is in charge of the concert.

I'm just glad that I have resisted temptation to make travel arrangements. My philosophy is that until the ticket is secured it is pointless attempting to book anything travel related, I followed the same idea back in March for the Tokyo Dome concerts and it has proven to be wise judgement given the cancelled concert in July.

IF the concert is postponed again, I can only sympathise with those who have been swindelled out of their hard earned cash again. I don't care who's fault it is, be it Yoshiki's, X Management, Bercy's Management or Osama Bin Ladin's - it is WRONG to treat the fans like this.

But from a personal point of view I still look forward with optimism. We waited 10 years for X Japan to return, so I personally can wait another few months to see them live in Europe.

I have lost so much trust in X and if another date is released I'm now sure I won't book any flight before having a ticket, like I've done until this moment.
I'm actually hoping more for Beijing now. Feels like it's more possible something might ge arranged (although not in Bird's Nest) since Pata played there a couple of years ago.

Yeah, that would be awesome, but I don't think they would come here.. Lets face it, Finland is pretty far from everything/everywhere so it wouldn't make much sense.. Unless they'd have a concert in Paris AND also in Finland..

Well, even if I hadn't done the travel arrangements yet, I wouldn't go to their concert if it is postponed.. I don't like this way they are dealing with the ticketing problem (not giving the fans any info)..

(and before anyone makes the "It's not X's fault"-comment, no I'm not blaming X or Yoshiki or any of them.. but their management ,or whoever was supposed to take care of the ticket-stuff and inform people, pretty much sucks..)

I don't know... I just can't understand it... they make such a fuss about the asian dates with promotion events and stuff... and also nouse productions also have big concerts like metallica, so they should know what they are doing...

And I agree with nemetroid; it's a third party seller who's afraid not to get tickets for HIS costumers, so he's changing it to canceled now... Makes sense actually.
But well, as long as no official, X related place announces that it's canceled/postponed, there's still hope.

I havent booked any flights or hotels because i wanna wait till i get the ticket first, i feel sorry for those who have planned everything already. Seeing X Japan once in my lifetime will make me happy (because i didnt believe in a reunion) and even if we have to wait longer again its good that there is something to look forward to. Patience people.

Well, some of us did book our travel in advance (but I'm not complaining that much - waiting for the tickets would have been more costly than discarding the train and flight tickets. I might even be able to sell the train tickets to a profit).

(also, it seems the rumour regarded management coming to LA, not Paris)

That's not a rumour, it's a normal thing. X/Yoshiki managers travel from Tokyo to LA, from LA to Tokyo every month, if Yoshiki need anything, he needs his management, but nothing never happens, let see if this time we have some info.

I was sure they would do the live, and still think that there's a chance, but if they continue with the idea of performing next month in Paris, only French people and very few people from outside France will be able to afford it :/ Right now, the best option is delaying the concert again to coincide it with the UK show.

I see, didn't know that.  :)

On one hand they lose a lot of credibility if they postpone it again, but on the other hand if the concert isn't profitable they might decide not to come here again. It's a hard decision (and they aren't exactly making things better by keeping quiet.. Say anything)

Right now, the best option is delaying the concert again to coincide it with the UK show.

What UK show? lol.

The rumoured one which is also rumoured to have been cancelled because it got revealed early. Yeah I don't believe that rumour all that much. I doubt there ever was a UK show more like a discussion about one which ended up in a big no. It would be cool if there was a UK show along with the Paris one though. I'm 95% sure the concert will be postponed again now. I just hope it gets changed to April then I'll be able to afford it. I'll cry if it's in May or June though since my final exams will prevent me from being able to go. All in all trying to see X so far has cost me around £500ish counting the July mess up lol

I dont mind to wait to see X Japan live. I have already waited 10 years so a few more months or even years (!) is okay with me.

Sorry for my bad english.

^ same here.

I'll wait with ordering train tickets, but if it keeps taking this long, there may not be enough time for not too expensive tickets.
So I'll have to make up my mind soon @D@

As crazy as it sounds. The UK just isn't international enough to be able to get a huge following of foreign acts. Because of English being so progressive as a language throughout the world, alot of the country is arrogant and quite xenophobic beliving that they shouldn't have to bend for anyone; the rest of the world should bend around them. Our lack of an official second language has made us less appriciative of international artists. X Japan would sell far less in the UK today than in Paris. Maybe 20 years ago they would have stood more of a chance.

Oh yeah, X Japan wouldn't even be given a chance here in the UK. The venues probably wouldn't even put them on, even if X paid a significant amount. The UK industry doesn't accommodate for bands like X in the slightest - look at all the trouble Miyavi had just booking a gig at an 800 capacity venue.

Not telling the fans anything I can sort of understand (even though i disapprove of it). But seemingly neither Bercy (which is no doubt an expensive venue) nor Nous Productions (who should be X's link to Paris) know anything at all either. WTH?

I know how it is. I went to a concert because of the support band and when I arrived at the venue they told us the band won't come because their bus broke down.

Me and my friend also think about not going because we're just pissed because of getting not the smallest information. Even my mom is pissed because she knows how much X means to me

While I agree that it will not be very beneficial for ticket sales, I also believe that the sources which BXTE have been in contact with recognise BXTE as a fan hub and I don't believe they would intentionally give them false info.

GUYS GUYS (and girls XD) Listen! Did they screw up? YES! there is no doubt about it! But you are forgetting one thing. X is that one band that you love so much. Or something like it. And this will probably be your only and last chance to see them. So why not take that opportunity ? Instead of getting all angry and saying no I won't go just go and scream all that anger out of your system when you see them live and your cheering for them. Don't you think you are going to regret it if you are not going because you were pissed and it was your last chance to see them?

Well anyway I will go no matter what! Oke if the ticket price is way above 100E then I might be in trouble xD

I'm not saying I won't go, but the more days pass the more difficult it gets for me, and propably the more expensive cause no flight or hotels is booked yet.

First of all, it's less than a month left. Plane tickets will be a bother. A big bother. I don't know if the Beijing show whas a higher percentage of happening, but I'm aiming for that instead. Hopefully they'll do a better job with that. Or not.
This whole ordeal has made me so angry and sick of X that I don't even feel like listening to them anymore. They do not entertain me at all. Hopefully it will come back, but that's nowhere soon.

I'm in Sweden, if the show happens to be postponed I will have lost 500 SEK. That's booking costs for train tickets, plane tickets, and living. It's not very nice but I won't die either.

I don't mean to defend X's behavior, but with good planning you can get away not too costly.

With Guns N'Roses I'm really used to these kind of stuffs. RollingStone.com posted a news about the new GNR album 1 day too soon, they had to removed it from their website ! Personally, I think that's what happened. We'll see !

I'm really fed up with this...
What the..?!

I really can't imagine that they'd sell all tickets out EVER! What ever happened and who ever is the one to blame, but this really the right way to destroy the reputation in serious business (not only among many fans, but also - and even more - among local organizers and so on).
I'm sorry to say this, but in my opinion it all went way too wrong... What was the point of delaying the ticket sales at all? It's clear that many people can't plan a trip to another country in a THAT short time. And I'm not talking for myself - thanks to Maverick, I would have the possibility to go... but there are many who haven't had this possibility or who have been feeling way too insecure for booking a trip which is maybe (again) leading nowhere and now it's simply more expensive than three months ago.

??? Man... what the heck is going on there?!

Not sure, if this site is a reliable source, but:
http://www.worldticketshop.com/concerts/x_japan_tickets
They say "cancelled", so I'm not having much hope anymore right now.. :/

Yeah, what VioletCamicat said. It's really strange, I should feel happy that the concert seems to take place, but with all these delays and now the short time between ticketsales and concert I really feel not that happy as I thought I would.

Agree... having a hard time to keep on looking forward. :( Right now I have the feeling that - if it really takes place - I will stand in the audience like: .. wow.. so that's it..?.. :| hmm......... Hooray..?

Actually it's sad... right now I'm seriously too pissed to be happy or to hope... The way it went till now destroyed too much. I don't wanna badmouth the whole thing or make a big drama - everyone can have his/her own opinion about the whole issue of course. My feeling about the whole thing is just getting worse and worse and nothing happened at all which could have stopped this.

:-X I'm afraid, I wouldn't even be sad, if it's getting cancelled and this is really creepy...
It's like hearing "Tomorrow you'll get 1 million €!" every day and experiencing every day again that it isn't like said the day before, but instead you hear the same sentence again. The first days I'd be looking forward, but then there will come a time when I just think "F**k you and your euros! I don't want them anymore! I'll go and get some cents from the bottom of the fountain over there!"... ::) :P

If it was cancelled after I bought the ticket I would be pissed, cause as soon as I have ordered the ticket I'm gonna take care about my flight and hotel booking :P
The thing for me I also, that I'm not to focused on X right now, cause Chinese Democracy is gonna released the weekend the Paris gig is :) and I feel the same way you do, right now I'm not to pumped, but I'm sure when I'm at Bercys, the lights go out, music starts it's gonna be great. And they don't have to sell out the stadium (how many people fit in? 16.000?), but it would be nice if there are more than only a hand full of people.

Hi, I found some info about X's tour at BARKS, japanese music portal site.
http://www.barks.jp/news/?id=1000044531

It says,
1 The tickets for Paris will go on sale at 10th November at 10:00 am.
2  X JAPAN's management was negotiating with promoters, it was concluded almost.
Live Nation or AEG will promote X JAPAN's world tour.
Live Nation had promoted the concerts of Madonna, U2, Micheal Jackson, and so on.
AEG is also big promoter. And the cost of this tour is about 10 billion yen.
3 The title of this tour is FINAL~to end our pain~.

SO, I think the officila will put on information soon.

Hehehe, well, you can focuse on both X and GNR ;D That's what I'm doing ;D

MIHO, nope, some french guy asked Bercy, they said they don't know yet.

And btw, some french guy also asked Bercy why they removed the date, they said it will be up on Saturday on the website (the date, not the ticket sales).

That thing is, I can afford going to Paris, but if the ticketsales would have been a month ago it would have been propably a lot cheaper for me ;) and cause I alsmost was sure that the concert will be postponed I also decided to buy a new television, instead of putting that money at side for X :)

I was planning on that but I ended up spending it all on my trip to London XD. The second the ticket date of 'September 5th' was put off I got really frustrated and annoyed anyway, I didn't feel like saving up for X anymore. I still don't.
I think this whole thing has really affected my love for the band. I just don't want to stress and plan for them anymore.

Well, aesthetically speaking, that's the sublime experience. You are constantly in a state of fear, trembling over whether everything ends forever or starts, explodes in a blissful state. "Is it happening?", and not "It happens". I personally have had a strong relationship where everything was touch and go many times. It's very tough, but can also be profound.

I would be pleasantly surprised if Yoshiki knew about this kind of aesthetic theory. Then again, the whole mess may just be something a wee bit more down-to-earth than this analysis. :)

BTW: Their MySpace website is messy for a Western visitor, to say the least. There's announcement that the sale date of the tickets is postponed. But since there's no date, I cannot say if this is old news already.

OK  :) Somehow I think they'd need more staff to organize these things... (no kidding)  ::)

Because now we have all sorts of theories. But Yoshiki's injury may have something to do with this. I would much prefer him heal himself into perfection to him wreck his body for a handful of crowd. Imagine some serious Yoshiki fan boy/girl who has learned nothing of his recovery after their press conference ages ago. I think people like that exist. Unless I'm mistaken, we've heard nothing about his physique since then, and that info might help us a lot with our anxieties.

So either it's very, very subtle tactics or just plain miserable managering. And even if it were the former, I think few can see it that way.

One theory I've had was Yoshiki's fear of the venue not selling out. I think stuff like that is extremely important to him. So, he may have figured that if he only put the tickets on sale 12 days, roughly 288 hours, before the start, everyone will be fighting over them like crazy. This the cynic's view into things...  :P However, this plan doesn't sound realistic at all.

I still have faith X are "honest", but they're seriously damaging their world takeover project behaving like this. The fans just need more information. For example, an average fan who's not 24/7 following them and who mainly reads their official MySpace site every once in a while still doesn't have a clue when the ticket sale will start. It happened to me as you saw!

I think the problem here is that this concert was supposed to be for all European fans, not just those in and around France. Now many of these fans won't have enough time/savings to travel for the show so it's become somewhat moot in that regard.

I'm with you there. YoYo has spoken fondly of France, but it ain't the whole of Europe. And there won't be 17,000 in the attendance...

I'm inclined to believe the whole thing will either get postponed or it turns out to be some "smaller" event. I just can't see Yoshiki and other dramatis personae performing at their fullest for an almost empty place.

I hope you're right. :) But I don't think half of the 17,000 seats will sell with this arrangement. The comeback gig, the whole 3 days, had 10,000 non-Asians IIRC and was way better promoted.

But I don't think half of the 17,000 seats will sell with this arrangement.

Can't imagine this either, since many people seem to have decided to not go and I really can understand this.

I'm also still not sure whether or not to go, because frankly X are not more important to me than any other of my favorite acts and I don't know, if I would have forgiven for example Alice Cooper or KISS a behaviour like this. Same goes for ticket prices - I wouldn't really be willing to pay more for them than for my other idols, because to me they're simply not more special than the others. (X is the only band which made me consider traveling to another country for them, even though I don't like them more than my other favorites... and there were already a lot of times when I asked myself "why actually?" :-\)
It doesn't matter, if I can afford the ticket then or not, it doesn't matter that this could be the last chance for me, it doesn't matter, if they have high costs because of the stage stuff and logistics (I didn't ask for this and other bands have these issues too) - I simply wouldn't see a point to pay more as a matter of principle... simply my point of view. XD So far... just hoping for normal prices! Otherwise I might be really out...

I'm still not quite getting the whole "I don't have the same love for X" since this little concert fiasco. Yeah it was annoying as hell and unfortuantely people may or may not have been shafted in terms of expenditure, but I'm not quite understanding why people try to think up the reason that they don't like the band as much, etc.

By all accounts, this concert shouldn't even be happening. X ended back in 1997 and I would imagine that a virtually unknown act amongst the masses in a foriegn country with a whole continent that doesn't understand a word of Japanese would be slightly harder to plan than a concert in their native country. True it has been a little excessive and the information we have been given has been shockingly bad; however we don't know the full details on why.

Having said that...bad planning or whatever, they were and still are a band that makes great music and at the end of the day that's what we like about X Japan. People moan excessively like X is a close personal friend to them, and they've just found them in bed with their girlfriend, sister and mother all at the same time.

Try not to have a low opinion of them as a whole because of these slip ups. Maybe i'm just not wired up the same and I only have to hear the music to be happy. With X probably more so because lets face it, you'd think the whole concert had been pre-recorded and put through post-production since it always feels so scripted. Toshi is the only one who seem geniune at concerts...maybe because of Yoshiki's feeble attempts at trying to look like he can't walk another step after his drum solo.

Regardless of the number of attendants, the concert is still going to be rocking. Personally speaking I wouldn't need thousands of people in a concert hall because my musical taste is my own personl thin and i'm not gong to a concert to 'meet' people, so I don't care if 15,000 turn up, or only 15. I wouldn't have to put up with the annoying people who sing along toneless then! xD But that's just me! Each to his own! ^_^

X JAPAN concert will take place in Paris, Bercy on 22nd November 2008 at 7.30pm.

The tickets sale will start on 10th November at 12pm. You'll be able to buy the tickets on Avosbillets.com or on Fnac.com! Tickenet has not updated their website yet.

Standing tickets cost 45.50€ (5.689Y).
Seating tickets cost 56.50€ (7,064Y).

The tickets are NOT numbered.

Also from my understanding, they're introducing some sort of pre-ordering service? Which to me seems a bit unfair bu my french isn't good lol.

Yes I have no idea why they say 10am on both X JAPAN french and UK website as avosbillets.com and fnac.com say the tickets sale start at 12pm. o_O

The best is to be ready to buy the tickets at 10am, then if there's nothing, well, come back at 12pm !

Ofcourse. I'm a fanatic concert attendee, I go to ALOT of concerts.. The thing with western band concerts is that it's visited by people that regulary go to a concert and know how to behave at a concert. This however isn't the case with every jrock concert i've been to. People act like fucking maniacs. I've seen more agressiveness and chaos in lets say 10 Jrock concerts then i've seen in other concerts my entire life. And i'm sure alot of people agree with me on that subject.

Seriously, I survived Slipknot + Metallica at the Parc Des Princes (50'000+ people) very close to the stage, I think it'll be ok for X JAPAN.

They make people enter the venue one per one so it'll be ok ! And really, don't forget that we are all X FREAKS !!! Try to talk with people around you and be friends... then you can switch places if you can't see well during the show and stuffs like that.

Great news about the prices though, much cheaper than I imagined

Actually the 200 man mosh-pit at a Slayer show is less terrible then a group of fangirls at a Gazette show.

Not kidding :P I've experienced both and I'd take the Slayer pit ANY time lol.

Anyways, yeah, great news about the tickets.. Just wished it were a little more detailed. I guess the seating tickets are going to be the ones at the sides (tribune).

As a tourism student I'd say you probably couldn't get it for the same price then.. since flight rates usually tend to get higher when the departure date gets "closer".. That's the reason I got my flight ticket early on.

Anyways, nice news about the concert tickets.. I think I can afford to buy two of them ;) (I'm not making my friend pay her ticket since she's not at all X's fan ;D)

Haha, this is gonna be fun! Just now I seriously wonder, if this will be the first concert where I notice people fainting (and I DON'T mean Yoshiki! xD). I only heard about stuff like this from DEG concert in Berlin and so on, hehe!

Okay, I think I'm starting to look forward to it again, but still I'll only believe it will happen, when I'm there and see it with my own eyes! (Where's the evil grinning smiley-devil? Still miss it!) xD Crossing my fingers for the rehearsals now!

And I'm curious how many tickets will be sold. :D
(Can understand that a lot of people had lost trust too early and now can't afford all the stuff. :-\ Wouldn't be able to go there too for sure, if I planned it all by myself. *pokes Mav*  ;))

Yes they do. But I wouldn't...

The best way to be sure to have your ticket at home is to use www.digitick.com as you print your tickets at home.

On the other website, you can choose to grab the tickets at Bercy before the show.

Just to be sure, once you print the tickets with Digitick, these are the actual tickets? Or do you have to pick them up at the venue as well?

I'm deciding what I could do best, either go with avosbillet and pick the tickets up, or go with digitick and print them. Tough one.

Post by: Lucs on November 03, 2008, 08:43:05 AM
@Jorge, it depends. Most of the time it's the actual tickets. But sometimes you have to get other ones when you're at the event. When I took my ticket there, it was the actual ticket, no need to change them.

I'm from Switzerland and I registered my swiss phone number (first you choose the country, then you write your phone number, without the international prefix) and it works well.

Digitick should work worldwide.

Some banks have cards that are not credit cards, as you can't spend more than you have, but that act as credit cards as they can be used for shopping online. And my other bank had an option of a virtual card that was like the one I just described, only that it was virtual and valid for 40 days. Both required you to be 18 tho.

So if those two aren't options for you, I suggest you look for a relative or parent who has a credit card. Or maybe find someone from this forum, who isn't buying more than 3 tickets (max 4 tickets from one credit card).

Anyone else tried the Priority Ticket Sale thing on the avosbillets site? It says the tickets are gonna go on sale an hour early and if you put in your email on the site then you'll get a code which will let you get the tickets an hour early (or something like that), I did it (tried it with 2 different email address') but I didn't get an e-mail back either time, anyone else tried it?

EDIT: Created a gmail account and got a reply STRAIGHT AWAY, so I'd advise everyone to do that if they want to get in on this priority thingy, they basically emailed me back a code, guess I'll see how it actually works next monday  8)

For some reason I got two different confirmation mails.. after a day I got one in French and English with a link.. I clicked the link and after another day I got a second email (only in french) with a different confirmation link in it... the code was the same in both mails....

also the page has a little flag to change the language to English but the page is still in  French... its typical... there are sites that offer a (working) English version and X Japan chooses that one as the "official" sale page...  ::)

well.. finally I start to believe again that the concert will acutally happen.. but I think I will only believe it when I stand there and see them on stage  ;)

I also got two mails. In the second mail, they added the information that with this code you'll be able to buy tickets at 10am on 10th November.

Hrm.. I only got a confirmation mail (Vous recevez ce message pour valider votre code d'achat prioritaire blablabla). Clicked it, and I believe it said that I'm now registered or something.
Maybe the second comes later today or something.. (sent yesterday, to my gmail address)

Yes it comes later. But it just add an information, no need to click on the link again.

With the code you got, you'll be able to buy the tickets at 10am.

If you're referring to Hypno's post, it's the cancellation of the Nov 22nd live.

So far, no news about the Paris live. It was mentioned in the credit roll after the countdown live though, as "2009 XX XX".
