As announced in today's conference, the already confirmed concert dates in Paris, Taipei and New York have been postponed.

You can fine the official announcement on X Japan's homepage here.

They can't leave them at home and become vulnerable to crows (feet)!

So now it's officiall, but it was clear, that at least the Paris concert has to be postponed. Well, things like this happen, hopefully they'll announce the new dates (perhaps next spring) soon (or as soon as possible *g*).

And thanks for the info and the pictures btw.

When will be published? I'm still waiting for January 20 conference translation. Oh shit, they're going to the Japan Expo finally.

TOSHI about the Japan Expo thing: また、YOSHIKIさんが7月3日からフランスで開催される日本文化フェスティバル『ジャパンエキスポ』への参加を希望していることも明かされ、TOSHIさんは、「僕らも行けるなら行きたい」と話していた。【小林円】

Also, a video message by Yoshiki will be published soon

So they MIGHT show up at the expo but they won't play.
I have/had no intentions on going to the expo, but I would concider it if I got to see X,but how are we supposed to know exactly when!? Sometime on the 3-5? :(

Hard to say, given it so much depends on Yoshiki being able to travel by plane. I guess he shouldn't push it.  :?
Anyway, I have no intention to hang around Japan Expo for the whole weekend just for the possibility of seeing them. That place was a hell last year. Wife might like to go, though.  :x

I'm also waiting for the reunion concert setlists.

And I wonder if X Japan has some kind of contract with Japan Expo that requires their appearance, or something?  Otherwise I don't get the point of them flying all the way to Paris when they won't be playing a concert there, seems kind of pointless.

Maybe because they know people wanted to see them and they want to at least make an appearance in Paris to apologise to the fans in person.

I dunno, just a guess

Hmm, good point.  And maybe they figure that since a lot of people booked their plane tickets and stuff anyway... etc.  Well, thinking of it that way-- if that's what it is then it's pretty nice of them (and good PR).

Well I'm going to Japan Expo anyway on Saturday, so if X'll be there, ALL THE BETTER! But if it's at the same time as Lafôret's fashion show, I'll go watch the show instead. They brought it upon themselves.

I won't be going to the expo unless they play I don't think, mainly because I can't be bothered, but I really hope they play soon   Was really looking forward to it, but oh well, these things happen.

For anyone who bought plane tickets (and does not have the budget to keep buying more of them), I imagine postponed would be even worse than cancelled.  Means you've wasted your money and won't be able to see them when they finally do perform.

This isn't me, I had no plans to go to any of the now-postponed concerts anyway, but I know people who are in this position.  And it does suck.

Of course it sucks but what should these people do? I know how they feel, I wanted to see Moi dix Mois (MANA, who cares about the rest of the band :D) in Germany last year - I already had the tickets for me and my friends but they eventually cancelled this particular show because of some problems with transportation. It was so... *auto-censored*

Thank you very much, I watched it three times to understand at least a bit of what that woman said - but I think nothing new was mentioned there. Toshi's announcement has been already translated and the woman was talking about the three lives in Tokyo Dome and Yoshiki who should have worn his neck corset or how it is called.

You're right there. It would have been less disappointing if they just cancelled the concert/s instead of postponing it. There might not be another good opportunity for me. To the homegrown fans, I guess this is okay 'coz they still got enough time to save for it. For the likes of me who will have to arrange for everything: leave from the office, my son's leave of absence from the school, the paid plane tickets, hotel reservations (although payment's upon checking out) only to find out later that I would not be able to see them play live is really depressing specially the only reason for these arrangements is to watch them in concert. But of course, I don't blame Yoshiki's illness. On the contrary, I want him to get better so they can accomodate more countries to their intenerary. Well, we will still go to Taipei regardless the postponement and take a 3-day tour instead. So people... as I tell my son... Let's look at the brighter side of things... In this case, Yoshiki's well being *winks*

Maybe they can grow their hair out while they're on break. Give them some prenatal vitamins. That should work. It would probably make Toshi's voice go even higher too. Who knows. Haha. I just want to see Toshi with his big hair again.

Sometimes it's possible to change the name of the plane ticket holder, for a fee, which basically means you could sell it, if you find a willing buyer (try a local traveling forum or so) and get at least some of your money back.
