I have to apologise, I posted without reading the immediate comments above. Thank you for providing the link to the tweet, that makes a lot of sense about the family wanting to keep things private.

You are welcome.

Imagine having to keep such a secret, going on and pretending that nothing happened
knowing fully well that you will be coitized for not speaking out sooner.
What a burden..

I'd like to be optimistic but I feel like this is going to be the final disbandment, once and for all. So sad that this is the way things come to an end if that's the case, but the writing has been on the wall for some time and this feels like a difficult hurdle to get past at this point. I don't meant to sound insensitive reducing the literal death of a human being to a "hurdle," but in the context of the challenge of bringing X back, it really just does seem like an obstacle that won't be overcome on top of all the other issues.

Regardless, Heath's passing, as tragic as it is, should serve as a reminder to us all that no matter how much success we enjoy, death comes for us all and often times it's sooner than we expect. May we all strive to live each day to the fullest for those whose lives ended sooner than expected. Appreciate the small things, and make sure the people you love know it. Life is too short for trivialities.

This is a very sad ending to the X Japan story :/ They almost had a happy ending with coming back, but even that had to seemingly end in tragedy

I want X Japan to be remembered for their music not for being "the world's unluckiest band".

Disbanding seems to be the most likely outcome of the announcement and honestly said...I don't know how X Japan could continue even if the remaining members had the real wish to do so

Yoshiki’s also posted a statement on socials. I tried to add an attachment but I’m too technologically-inabled to do so.

"I am confused as to whether I should be writing this message as YOSHIKI or as the leader of X JAPAN."

of course, it's understandable
