Anyone found another ticket-shop except the tivoli.nl site? (No Resellers). Cause on that site only people who are living in the Netherlands can open an account an order tickets. :(

EDIT: Maybe a moderator can move the thread into the World-Tour-Section, where the other concert threads are.

Just got an answer from the Tivoli, looks like on April 23rd the sale on ticketmaster (Ticket Service) will also start:

Hello Matthias,

Yes, Ticket Service is a pre-sale address. I see that the ticket sale
for X Japan via Ticket Service starts April 23.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Kristine Malone

Aanwezig: di, wo, vr
Tivoli

http://www.ticketmaster.nl/

So right now I guess that's the only way for the rest of the world to get tickets.

Tickets are now on sale for this event at the tivoli website (www.tivoli.nl).

I read on Twitter that tickets will be on sale for the 'general public' on April 23rd? I don't really understand this, won't it already be sold out by then? Tivoli is not a very large venue...

I was at the door earlier this morning and bought my tickets at the door :)

First, not trying to be rude, but we already have a topic about the Utrecht gig (I'll merge the two later, don't worry).

The online-ticket sale is for members of the site only and you have to live in Holland to become a member, as I see. So in essence it's a pre-sale. The international fans can start buying tickets on April 23rd (or if they find a Dutch friend, a bit earlier :) ).

Ah thanks a lot, but never mind, seems that I found other ways to get my ticket. ;)
Looks like that you can't BUY as a person not living in the netherlands, but you can still get a RESERVATION, at least that's what I'm talking about with the people there right now.

if tickets are still on sale in a months time and I win some money on the lottery then i'll be going. Prices i'm looking at are around the same price as paris in terms of flights.. plus my long lost lover mark said he'd pick me up from the airport on his way to the gig... chances are i wont be able to go though, even though i'd love to.

Tivoli will propably be the cheapest way to buy them. So if you are from the Netherlands, go for it.
The reservation seems to have worked. At least the lady told me she would have put a reveration for two tickets and I should pick them up on the day of the concert. But I guess I will have a look on saturday at the ticketmaster-site, just to see if there are still tickets available and if that's the case I will order them there and cancel my reservation. But either way ... Utrecht, I'm coming. :D

and buy black and pink hairdye (stargazer is only like...€8 ...~~)
and do it yourself <3  or maybe see if they sell it in pink...and only dye the under
part black (also if it's too short...which i think it is.. try the medium ones~~ like this... http://cosplayanimewigs.com/hereplblcowi.html)

Maybe you can try this one to save some money http://www.drive2day.de/0a2j48d278fj3dij
or an other car sharing agency, I think it´s much cheaper than train or plane,
so you money will last than for bread, water and butter ;D

Who knows when I'll have the next chance to see them live? So I try to get as much as possible. ;) And with my favorite bands after a concert I often have the feeling 'Wow, wouldn't it be great to see them tomorrow again', So I don't think the concerts will be boring for me.

I agree!
If I had enough money and days off, I would love to go to every concert in Europe.
I went to both concerts in Hong Kong 2 years ago, the songs they played were slightly different.
I can only say, that I was as 'high' on the second night as on the first night.  ;D

Just a headsup: Tivoli is selling tickets again  :o
They appear to be e-tickets, so you might be able to get one if you don't live in the Netherlands. They also removed the text promoting the international seller ticketmaster link (probably because tickets are sold out at ticketmaster).

no, did pay the normal price, around € 45 and the ticketseller asked us to send the ticks back and we will get our money, so no problem at all, I booked already a flight and hotel and now I decided to go to Utrecht too, so I´ll have summerholidays for 8 days, I think the first time since 1998 or so... how nice is this, so seems we will meet in Utrecht, erg lekker :D

nope, it was not really a snap, but is the normal price here with tax and shipping, the same I payed for DIRU...
and for Utrcht I payed €52 for one, but it was also possible to get a ticket for the same show for € 85, if you are looking for something really expensive try Rammstein, for the concert back in 2009 the cheapest ticks were about € 120, btw. :P

sorry to hear that, but I felt the same last year when they were playing Lollopalooza and touring North America, and I never ever expected them to play here in Berlin, so don´t give up the hope, maybe they will play East Europa in the future...

Simple, not enough fans in this area. From my country I only know of two others, who are both going to the London concert. I will be going to London and Paris. It won't be that cheap, but it's mostly because I can't spare much time. Nowadays there are cheap airline tickets and cheap hostels and CouchSurfing and other possibilities...

hmm..I think you're not right!! absolutely..O.o where are you from??? (sorry if I asked rude ^^)
we created even facebook event to see how many of us on FACEBOOK ONLY! want to go on concert 100%..on HUNGARY..we thought it's best place for east europe they could come, as in Hungary already many japanese artists were having concerts in Budapest as MIYAVI, D'espairsRay, Girugamesh, KOKIA, Dir en Grey, Versailles, MUCC etc.....we for 4 days reached 630 people who will definitely go and 180 people who will maybe go if they really would come.. and still 1200 waiting for answer..
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=144844398917917

and many MORE of them who don't have facebook..
so it's about :
from HUNGARY, only there may be about 1000 fans who will attend concert, from Croatia about  30 people, from Serbia about 20-30 from Bulgaria about 20 from Austria 50, from Slovakia 30 from Romania 20, from  Slovenia 20...
maybe many MORE...as I myself know that amount of people from this places (Balkan) who love X Japan and who will definitely go..O.o
so they could definitelly come...*.*

and for other countries..it's really EXPENSIVE..as I already spend all money fro MIYAVI, Girugamesh and -OZ- in Budapest..I didn't know X would for really come in Europe this year...as I am from Serbia...here is really dificult situation with money, and job and prices for life...so to go in London or Paris or Berlin I must take for 4 months job's payment from my Parents..X.X
it's just without a question...
Title: Re: X Japan World Tour @ Tivoli, Utrecht - July 2nd
Post by: elanor on May 12, 2011, 05:41:25 PM
@SamuraiSx: I know what you mean, but I don´t think that Yoshiki or the management knows about that, so it´s not that they don´t think there are no fans, so no reason to go there, I don´t think that they do proper market research at all, btw. I don´t think X got a proper management at all, look at the mess they were doing with anouncing and canceling shows in Europe during the last years...
so, that means you fans there have to fight, show them how much you want them to play there, may be you can move something, and yes Hungary would be nice, I will come too, if you achieve to bring X there.
I guess the problem is, that Europa in the public appreciation often ends where the former "Iron Curtain" was and South and East Europa are not that present like West and North, again a leftover from former time, but it will vanish step by step, so do your best and tell them: here we are here and we are many :)

I'm from Northern-Eastern Europe, Estonia.

Well the event shows that those 630 people would come if a) they had the money at the moment, b) if the time would fit (they wouldn't have to work/do an exam on that day and c) if there wasn't a better concert at the time etc. Yes, there might be some more people who don't have Facebook, but still. I would guess X Japan could sell about 600-700 tickets in that area, maybe 1000 with good promotion. But since it's further away from the rest of the shows it might not be cost-efficient enough.

hmm..I think you're not right!! absolutely..O.o where are you from???

But since it's further away from the rest of the shows it might not be cost-efficient enough.
where did you get that those 630 peoples will go if they would have money?..O.o
they WILL go as they are ATTENDING..so it's obviously they have money for Budapest's concert.

and those who maybe would attend those 188 they maybe because of money..
Estonia..hmm..it's really far away from here..and from Estonia I don't know anyone who loves X..sorry...@.@

but as I said you gusessed wrong, as for now minimum is 1000 attendings. so it will be more for sure..as you saw on facebook only 600. and those who don't have facebook they are in huge nubmber.

and I don't know how you get conclusion  about those 600 who are attending, that they are in question because of money..? O.o

and with good promotion ..it will be about 1500 peoples for sure.
as I know here peoples and countries..

I know many people who attend events on Facebook even if they can't, just to help the effort or advertise the event. There is always a chance that if X Japan decides to come to Budapest at one point, some of those people will find out that it's at a bad time for them, they might not have the money that they might have now, etc.

because of that, as I am admin, I WROTE especially in description that only those who will 100% go can attend!
and I am checking every 3 days new joined and some of them I am asking about thier true intentions about going on concert..
and this event is not some joke on facebook, as I know too, those many events and people who are helping with it...but this is serious metter..
and people who are invited they know about it so those who don't want or think that they couldn't go they just don't attend event.
as you see there are about 300 those who can't...
so don't make so fast conclusions..:)

Maybe not the smartest thing to say on a public forum?

srsly... i'm too much agreeing with Miyavi... why would you record a gig (it's prolly gonna end up on dvd anyways) why not enjoy the show with your eyes, instead of through the lens of your camera? Why not enjoy the memories... you can find every song on internet anyway...

I was supposed to go to England, but then the show in the Netherlands showed up... Since the England show will be in the middle of an exam week and the Holland show in a weekend my dad and I will go to the Holland show. Was looking forward on going to England again but I'll be special to see them in Holland I think. So I will see you then!

nice of you to say that :), sometimes on a concert I feel like an alien, only being there to listen to the music and watching the show, sometimes I´ve had the idea that a part of the audience is not paying attention to the artist on stage, but entertaining it´s self with the stuff they are doing, don´t they enjoy the show? very odd.. :-\

@elanor yh, i know what you mean. I'm usually front row, nd people there usually don't film... but then you look behind you and see an army of cameras ... it's so sad. It's so much more awesome through your eyes, than through your camera...

Clip-on mics and a battery box yes. It's not secret, stealth recording is quite common and normal.

Maybe not the smartest thing to say on a public forum?

Not at all actually.

I'm usually front row, nd people there usually don't film... but then you look behind you and see an army of cameras

This is indeed not much in the spirit of metal. Horns up or GTFO. I do carry a pocket camera for a song or two if I feel like it haha.

First I want to clarify that I do not do video. Only audio. It's simply being recorded AS I enjoy the show.

The reason of recording a show is exactly for the memories. If you have it down to an art, a recording can come out very beautiful. Here is an example of a video with a seperate audio source from stealth (portable/hidden/clip-on) mic's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJtKJMlbrLE To me this is just an excellent recording. Something that will make other people happy as well if they missed the show or if they were there but couldn't record it. Whatever the reason. Recordings are often shared on specialized sites (dime-a-dozen - archive.org etc) with thousands of other people who record live shows with professional equipment. I suppose it's a different branch of being a music lover.

dag, Utrecht show is done, it was really great
Setlist
Intro
Jade
Rusty nail
Silent Jealousy
Drain
Sugizo on violin
later together with Yoshiki on piano
Intro for Kurenai
Kurenai
Toshi said Hello to us, Yoshiki was talking to us, they talk to each other
Born to be free
Drum solo
I.V.
X
encore
Endless rain
Yoshiki talking about the Europa tour and he promised to came back
Piano solo
Art of Life

The venue was very cosy, I was on the balcony and had a good overlook about everything, the audience was nice and easy going and very patient - the show started at 9.20 insteat of 7.45, during the show the where dancing, headbanging and shouting, but always in a good way, seems to be a bit different from the other shows, maybe because of the smaller venue, was more like a big, big family meeting for a long expected festivity, that was my impression from upstairs
the sound was mostly good, one or two times a little problem, but it was sorted out quick enough
Toshis voice was very good and I like to watch Yoshikis fingers dancing on the piano :D
now I´ll see, how it will be in Berlin

Quite a long wait but it was definitely worth it seeing them upclose! Now I know how Yoshiki's sweaty head feels like :P

About their playing (from my point of view):
Sugizo did play the solo of Rusty Nail but made his own version of it.
Anyone else noticed that some solo parts of Kurenai weren't played? I think they were counting on hide but he didn't feel like doing it lol
When Pata was playing the solo of X something went wrong and he stopped playing at some point.
Endless Rain was shortened and the first part of art of life wasn't played of course. For the first half of the solo of art of life they used a recording of hide and Sugizo then did play the rest.
I thought the overal tempo of the faster songs was a bit lower then how they used to play it. I also found that their sound had a bit too much treble and some reverb (the piano didn't sound very natural) but that could be just me. I'm looking forward to seeing some video's!

Overal it was a great performance though!

ow and Yoshiki likes Dutch kroketten! He also explained why they went to The Netherlands. One of his staff members was Dutch and he thought there probably should be X fans in Holland or something like that so Yoshiki was like lets check it out! He could speak some Dutch as well like "ik hou van jullie" and "jullie zijn te gek". He also talked about the Japanese earthquake.

Wow...You guys are so fast O.o *only got up 2 hours ago..nd had a long shower first*  @elanor it's pretty much always like that in Holland xDD expect for at Dir en grey xDDD also i saw you at starbucks(butwastooshytosayanything) <3 glad you enjoyed it

I surely enjoyed it... It was amazing. I was first row in front of Pata, and really enjoyed his awesome guitarplaying just as much as I did the close view of Sugizo's in London. I was really surprised they were still so... 'fresh'  because of the show in Paris. I guess they did miss some solos indeed, but even with that I didn't like it any less than London, although it was definitely different. The Japanese fans behind me ...were really ...persistent, so that was a bit of a pain, but when Yoshiki jumped the crowd they got distracted. We did have a little problem with the fence when he did so, it fell over to the stage, which was really scary. The only thing I really thought was WAY better in London was the sound, because I agree with Wick, that the sound of the piano sounded off and there was a tremble in the other instruments. And also, the instruments were REALLY loud compared to Toshi's mic...

Overall...I was REALLY amazed and got completely X'ed all over again <3

P.S I LOVED Yoshiki's MCs xDD tho, he's really ALWAYS panting xDD it's amusing... but yh... kroketten, they're nice <3

ah then it's not just me :) Yes it did sound off and Sugizo had also problems tuning his guitar. Probably because he has a whammy bar so it's hard to tune (if you tune one string it effects the others).

Found a couple of video's on youtube already.

What do you guys think of this rather big mistake of Pata lol

After Toshi starts singing and the bass is in the foreground Pata should kick in with the main riff played fast but he plays the slowed down riff which should come much later..he just kept playing it and it sound strange with the vocals. You can see that Heath does play the faster part and looking at Pata once thinking wtf?! It's really bad hehe

I watched the video and didn't catch what you're talking about. Perhaps cause it's Drain and hardly anyone gives a damn about the song, haha. I'm pretty disappointed in Sugizo for consistently butchering the Rusty Nail solo. It was very interesting to see him progress with it during the N.A tour. Basically, they used hide playback till Chicago (I think) and he made a big mess of it there, then the night after in Toronto, where I was, he played the solo perfectly, then in New York 2 nights later, he played it perfect again. I guess since the new year/earthquake, they haven't practiced much but still, I feel really bad for you guys who heard those mistakes.

can´t say anything about mistakes, ´couse I´m not skilled in that (infact I don´t have one musical bone in me :P), but it´s true that Sugizo got a lot of volunteer stuff for recreating the demaged araes on his mind, or maybe he has had a bad day :-\

Just  a few sentences. Came home two hours ago and I'm really happy and sad at the same time. Happy cause I saw the tour and enjoyed it. Sad cause it was my last concert and I already miss a lot of the people I met there. Met Sugizo in front of the Tivoli, but he didn't have time, so no pictures ... Fuck the blood! ;)
Here a few pictures I took during the tour (first one is from Paris, the other ones were taken at Utrecht). May write a little bit more during the next few days.

No it wasn't that bad! Most people probably/hopefully didn't hear most mistakes. I like Drain though and I play guitar so I do hear it..for a professional band it's not so good imo.

He got the Rusty Nail solo right in London.

Wick: I don't see any mistake, Pata is playing his part of the guitar. Remember there is playback of hide's guitar too, but in this video you can't hear it, you can only hear Pata's guitar, that's why it sounds weird, but there is no mistake.

Feudal: I think Sugizo playing the solos is fucking awesome, he has his own style and it doesn't have to sound exactly like hide, and at least they are getting rid of the playbacks, so I'm happy.

omg..that none of you can hear it..they can play anything and you'll like it. I know I'm nitpicking but this particular mistake should be obvious. The bass and guitar are playing different notes and not meaning an octave higher or so..

Mistakes are negative points and I don't want to be pessimistic so nvm. It's a good thing you don't hear it ;)

edit: btw, you can hear the recording of hide but it's not very loud

Ok, I apologise for my previous post, I can see it now. You just didn't explain well where was the mistake, you said "after Toshi starts singing", so I was looking "after Toshi starts singing", at 1:16, but the mistake is from 1:30 to 1:45.

You're right about that. I should have said "at 1:30"...I'm not good at explaining. You should have heard it anyway though :P

LOL.

Also, Pata with his beard now looks like a mix between Jimmy Page and Kim Thayil from Soundgarden.
