Hmm, I don't know.  I have the official DVD set of On the Verge (the official laserdisc set too), plus a decent-quality bootleg of one of the unreleased nights.  I've seen the giant moving eyeballs, especially during hide no heya, but yeah... somehow I never got the impression of what the whole stage set looks like.

I think either they never show it from as far a distance as in that photo, or else they do but it was somehow in a way that I didn't notice.  All I really remember were the moving eyeballs and some large moving hands on the runways to the far left and right (not visible in that photo).

At this concert there were only 2 of those huge faces.
Still a very cool stage design though!
There was also a big eye above the drumkit.

But you only hear Rolly in Dead Angle and Vampire, as far as I know... And you see him in Origin of hide vol. 3, that's all.

I'm currious, does anyone have a complete setlist (acts/songs) from the WOWOW broadcast? Cause I thought Versailles would not have been broadcasted, but a least one song was as you can see in the Versailles Thread, so perhaps there are much more I don't know about  :wink:

Btw Pan, you could ask that store if they can do "flexprint", I think it's called that.
It's the best technique to make t-shirts which will last for hundreds of washes.

They will probably put something very rare on disc 9 so we will have to buy it...

"He was arrested a couple times in LA. Once when they arrested
him he yelled: YOU KNOW WHO I AM? HOW DARE YOU PUNISH ME?"

If he really said that, I guess he was drunk.  
And about hide... Well Taiji said hide was violent when drunk, so I can
imagine he got arrested quite often because of fights heheheh

Since nobody has posted anything about this yet, I thought I'd do.
I first want to say that I don't know if these are just rumors, or if it's true,
but if Yoshiki has found a girlfriend let's wish him good luck!

If I'm not wrong, when asked about that on some interview, he said that no, he didn't want children since he already had his nephew, with whom he was very close.

I'd understand if hide said that just to protect his child, if he had one.

I don't know what's true and what's not, but this is what I remember I've read:
hide had a girlfriend sometime in the 80's and they got married.
They had a son together, they divorced and the girl moved to another country or something,
maybe bringing their son with her?
Anyway, I've also read somewhere that hide never wanted to talk about
his past marriage and all that.

Either these things are just rumors, or they are things that maybe circulated
in japanese media in the 80's?

Anyone know if there's any special meaning to the "wishing for six" part in the Jealousy version of the lyrics?  Is it just that he's wishing to have sex six times, or is there any additional meaning beyond that?

Well, six is the highest number on a dice.
Sometimes people compare life with the dice, as a game of luck.
Maybe that's what it means?  :?

HIDE was once quoted saying that "Taiji is the best guitarist in the band".

Yes, I think they should have let Taiji join, but maybe Taiji doesn't want to?
(or Yoshiki doesn't want to   )
But if not Taiji, then why not Sugizo? From what I've read, hide was the one
who discovered Luna Sea, then Yoshiki signed them.
So Sugizo and X are good friends since old times.

What does hide say in some live versions of X?

It sounds something like TABBEHTABBEHTABBEHTABBEH.

You can hear it in most version of X.

What does it mean?

At some other X website I read that he says "tobe", which means "fly".
So if it's true, he's basically telling the audience to fly and do the X!

Yes.. But in 2002 (I think) when they reproduced the original hide models
with neck-thru construction, those guitars costed about 350000yen!
Why is it so much more expensive with neck-thru?
