Title: Skull Thrash Zone
Post by: RoseOfPain on February 06, 2008, 02:52:29 PM
I was wondering what you guys think of it?
I love both of the X songs, but the rest doesnt really interest me :P

oh yeah, dont someone happen to notice that the the drum/guitar/bass part of the song Death of Thrill of Rose Rose after the intro is EXACTLY the same as the song Hammer Smashed Face of Cannibal Corpse XD

I think it's not a bad comp, all of them are/were very well respected thrashers of their time. Only Shell Shock & Jurassic Jade really interest me besides X. Comps like these were pretty common since most bands played together on the same scene or maybe against eachother.

Band wise Heavy Metal Force III appeals much more to me than Skull Thrash Zone. I even recently bought some Mephistopheles :)

+omg nederlander.

The X songs rock, the rest is... alright, but doesn't excite me much.  For me the two X songs really stand out as being way better than the rest of it.  Especially Stab Me in the Back.

I really can't look at the X lyrics pages in that without laughing though.  X, I love you, but that "I'm having sex!  I'm coming now!" at the top of the page is way too funny. :P

I really like this compilation... When I listened to it the only bands I knew were X and Jurassic Jade, and in my opinion these two were the best on this album... But the other bands really impressed me, and made me search for more material from then... I never became a fan of none of these bands, but I don't think they suck either...  8)

Wasn't this the comp with Ground Zero? That band is killer. I've been looking for their full length, single and HMSS live LP for ages.
