I don't find it make sense to suicide by hanging himself on the doorknob by towel.
First of all, how big and high is the doorknob. Normally, it just 1 meter from the ground and hide is not that short.
Second of all, if u use towel as a rope to commit suicide it probably cannot hang from the doorknob. In the term of doorknob I assumed it has round shape, unlike door handle.

I hope my points are understandable.
maybe only the polices who were in the "suicide scene" know the truth.

it wasnt a door knob it was a towel hanger. more so, he cut up the towel into a noose, so he what he knew what he was doing, even intoxicated.

I've heard that before.
But in my opinion it's not true. hide was pretty, delicate, skinny, wore make-up, bright clothes and stuff that a lot of women would wear.
And plus, the fact that he would never undress (show bare arms, legs, chest...) in public might lead some people to question his gender.
But I don't think that would make him a transgender.

i have some pics of hide with his jacket open without a skirt or wearing a tank top. in zilch's "electric cucumber" that was the first and last time we saw him topless.

hide was a very insecure person, i guess. i highly doubt he was trans gender.

Yes the funeral footage was sad,especially when the hearse is getting loaded and I think it's Heath maybe runs over into Yoshiki's arm because he's so sad.

actually, it was toshi putting his head on a mystery guy's shoulder. (i think)  i re-saw the footage today on my dvd player with the zoom opition. he looked older and slightly over weight, so no way could of been a band member of hide's.

Ok. Let's just be for real for one second.

It totally looks like it was written by a 14 year old girl that probably thinks she's an expert of japanese culture because she watches anime. It's pretty much incoherent and the grammar is horrible.

And, scroll down to the "facts" section. Sounds more like fabricated gossip than relevant resources.

First and foremost, there is no proof that Emi Takashi was his fiance` or hide was ever engaged. hide never believed in marriage, as he explained in the XMANIA A-Z INTERVIEW. Emi Takashashi was his stylist, back in 1994. But, there is no proof that they were dating or living together. Or had a fling.

Oh, and I don't think hide ever dropped out of high school?

UGH!!!! Someone please fix this shit up! this is supposed to be educational and professional information about a musician. At least TRY to sound articulate and less angst or repugnant.

Thats the biggest pile of crap i've heard so far. Oujia boards and all that crap are fake. I'm pretty sure if it was murder, there would have been SOME evidence to show that.

anyways, as a lot of people said 1,000,000 x times: i never knew hide, i wasn't there the night he died, i didn't live with him, i never worked with him on a daily basis. was he murdered, did he kill himself, was it an accident? we don't know that. probably never well, he took it with him to the grave. so i can't make any conclusions or assumptions without proof.

and i don't think anyone should either. he's gone. that's it. just keep his memory alive.

most of hide's songs were about being despondent and obsessive-abusive relationships, so that might of hinted for a suicide.

i know it's hard and i'm just as jilted as you, but there's nothing we can do about it. but as the old rock and roll saying goes: "it's better to burn out than fade away."

Plus, as most of you know, the feminine looks and attitudes are considered very beautiful in Japan, in either males or females.
The fact that hide wore make-up and dyed his hair, as well as belonging to several rock'n'roll bands don't make him 'gay'. He may even have been, but not necessairly.

In my honest oppinion he was straight. I have no fundament for this but I've never heard or seen anything that made me believe he felt attracted to males.

heehee. yuh. there is a scene where the band is in a small room with girls. and die has a girl on his lap. he nuzzles her closer and she's giggling. when she screams the camera stops filming.

i think hide had girlfriends, but not a girlfriend. a lot of people lived with hide, band mates and girlfriends alike. so it's hard to tell if the woman who found him barely alive the morning he died was his steady girlfriend or a room mate/companion.

For me, hide no heya is usually a bit annoying (as in Aoi Yoru and Dahlia Final), though for example Shiroi Yoru was quite fine.
