Well, here it's difficult to make out who the singer was. Don't know, but somehow it doesn't sound like Yoshiki to me.
I tend to Hally as well, and about him: Nowadays he's a member of the band UNITED.

My brother once won a beer for free because of X!  :twisted:
He was in a students disco or something like that. And there was kind of a quiz: "The first person who can tell me which band played this song gets a beer for free". So they played X, and my brother finally thought that it sounds like the stuff I'm (may be in his opinion too often ) listening to... So, his answer was "X Japan"? And he actually got the beer....  :roll:
Hmmm... somehow I wish I was there...

however, I was thinking about Taiji joining Yoshikis band as well, but somehow I think that wouldn't happen. For sure not.... I also hope like Panthere said, that it would be good for Yoshiki to get in contact with him when he hadn't already (but may be he anyways met him again)  :roll:

Hmmm...
What I know about this was, that Taiji and Yoshiki didn't have any contact to each other since Taiji left the band. So they first met again before hides funeral. As I know Taiji was in a really bad situation due this time, had not much money, so that he was asking Yoshiki even for a smoking to visit the funeral, besides I heared that his jaw was broken and that didn't heal the right way since he had no money for a medical treatment.
Finally Yoshiki helped him with the smoking as well as with some money for the medical treatment.

Hm... how far that story is really true, I even by myself can't guarantee, but that's what I heared about this.

Besides there are many people who think Yoshiki and Taiji were really pissed at each other so that Yoshiki kicked him out of the band... Finally I don't think so.
Taiji said in his book "X no Sei to Shi" that there were even problems with the staff who can't stand him... how far that is true, I don't know, but in my eyes there must have been something totally different as well between Yoshiki and Taiji, which both keep better in privacy.
But that the have hated each other... no... I really can't imagine....

hm..yoshiki most notable words are tears,memory,dream,love,pain..

but most of his ballads use words tears,love and dream for it lyrics..

and now I'm knowing why yoshiki composed endless rain..

I don't think it's difficult to figure it out.
It's anyways the same in most of his lyrics: Kurenai, Unfinished, Week End, Rain (performed by Glay), Silent Jealousy, Say Anything... and so on...
And may be in the indies-days much more with hate in it... in example No Connexion
And there are several symbols which return again and again: blue, red, blood, tears, walls, rain, night...
