The Last Live / The mysterious synthesisers...

I was watching TLL recently and noticed that during the first few songs there was a couple of synths on stage that I had never seen no stage before. Here's a pic of them during "Rusty Nail"

Does anyone know why it's there, if it was used at all... any info at all

Thanks

My iPod broke.

Not only did it have music, but coursework, various personal files and every song I had been working on for the past year or so, including songs with my friends...

I think I'm gonna give up on music

If anyone is interested we are having a band meeting atm to decide whether or not to carry on. Currently we are taking a break from the meeting but if people want I'll post the outcome, though it is not good right now.

great stuff, best blue blood cover I ever heard!!

I'm having some problems distinguishing the bassdrum though.
Thanks!!

Really?? Well I'll have a look at it and may turn up the bass drum and a few things.

It could be me though... I dont think its the volume, im thinking more of the sound, maybe it needs a bit more kick/punch to stand out.

At any rate, as already mentioned, your friend would be proud! Great tribute.
Well I've done some remixing and I agree that the bass drum was quiet, turned it up a bit and sounds much better, but it would sound different depending on what sound system people use.

And thanks again!

Still in total disbelief... I never thought I'd see this day.

Listening to "The Way You Make Me Feel", one of the greatest songs I've heard

xxx RIP MJ - one of the reasons I'm a musician xxx

Another cover has arrived!!!

This was by my band as a tribute to our recently deceased guitarist Andy aka "Tetsu". We formed the band in April with he and i on guitars and the first thing we wanted to was cover an X song and we picked Blue Blood. We started it but never finished it as we started writing songs, but the rest of us decided to finish it over the weekend.

My parts are on the right channel, his on the left.

There are mistakes but I hope you enjoy it anyways!!

Wow, Dear Loser is Awesome!!! Thanks! You posted it really quickly, how long did it take you to sort it out? Just playing from ear?
Thanks!! Yea I work all my covers out by ear, and when I can I watch videos of them performing it.
Wow, that was great! :o

(I really think the waving at the end of your vids is fucking cute. XDD)
Thanks!!

Yea I don't know why I do that, when I finished the first one i put it in as a piss-take but now it seems I'm doing it after all of them :P

hmmm the first song that popped into my head was Tuneup Baby (from Jun's demotape) until I read that pre-VV is a bigger problem... it'd still be cool though :D

I'd also love to see an Xclamation cover
But anything will make me happy, so go for it! I'm looking forward to hearing more stuff!

Will do, funny you should pick that song, I was workng it out just a few days ago :P

P.A.F. Love & Fake! :D

Will do, may take a while, have to d/l the album again

Covers / Request a cover!!
« on: June 21, 2009, 07:30:49 PM »
Hi all!!
I've been playing a lot of X recently, and I got an idea. Basically if you guys ask me to cover something, then I'll film myself playing it (on guitar probably, maybe piano for some ballads) and put it up on youtube... If it goes well I might try and cover the song with my band!!

Any X song is fine, although the early stuff (like pre-VV) will take longer to learn.

If anyone else wants to cover the songs requested than please post your videos (just so we know it's you!!)

I look forward to the first request

EDIT: Solo stuff is also welcome, as is stuff by bands "related" to X (Luna Sea etc)

Songs:

Xclamation (requested by Ami)

Dear Loser (requested by MIHO)

DAHLIA (requested by Ryuu)
