Ferret has said to me in another thread she'd be interested in posting more or less senseful comments to this series, here is a right place to do so

I'm warning everybody though, be prepared to quickly move away from me, as I am extremely sensitive to any kind of prejudice toward the series, let's say a strong personal quirk.

Thinking for oneself is very welcomed, on the other hand.

What do you consider cute in your lives? You can post pictures or link to ones if you choose so.

Today, I and one of Lights were just totally blown away with pictures of some kittens a mutual friend of ours posted somewhere, and I thought if to be overwhelmed with something, it would be nice if it were something pleasant at least. Sooo, what is yours?

(Apologies if anyone feels I am being too personal or something. I am just really interested what other people have to say)

Forum Games / Your names, please?

For people that are comfortable with it, I thought it might be good if we knew each other's name or something like that... Who feels safe with it, feels. Who does not, it's okay.

To start with, my legal name is Veronika, but my real name is Nat. I can't explain that one well, I just have too ambivalent feelings toward "Veronika" to consider it a name I like to be called by on regular basis. Sort of react to it, yet it is not what I'd call "my name". Nice to meet you.

Well, some of us already do have new year, some of us don't, but what we ALL lack is a party thread for New Year wishes and for whatever... party. (can be updated later with other celebrations, this is why the "whatever" word placed itself in the name of the thread as well.)

I wish you all new year was better than the previous one :wink:

This should be a mostly fun thread, where we could compare what the reaction of people that aren't fans of X was like when they were introduced to X.... as I introduce X to a lot of people or try to, I wanted to compare experiences ;]

A friend, who I share the desk at school with>> What are you drawing?
(me> drawing on the desk "X-Japan, Aerosmith, KISS")
me> Names of my favourite bands.
friend> Ah okay. What are they?
me> They're like.... this one [pointing at Aerosmith] is a rock band and the other ones are perfect metal bands.
friend> I don't like metal.
me> [pointing at X] hey but they have nice ballads.
friend> hmmm... Might give it a try.

later [me, reading printed INA's blog] friend [the same friend]> What are you reading?
me [explaining in short history of X and their projects with other bands and that it's complicated]
friend> Uuuh. That original band, it's the one you were talking to me about the previous time?
me> Yeah, that's them. They're called X Japan but nobody really calls them that, they are just X.
friend> X huh?
me> Yeah. Check them out, really.
friend> So you say they're Japanese?
me> Yeah but they rule. Really, the language ain't no problem for understanding them.

Later, friend comes into the class and the other hour, she mentions>

me [trying to look not as excited as I feel]> Yeah?
friend> It was called... I don't know... Forever Love.
me> And what did you think about it?
friend> I thought they are never going to start singing. It was so long instrumental.
me [thinking] What would you say about Art of Life, then.
me> Hmh?
friend> But the guy started singing later and he has a really nice voice.
me> Yeah, Toshi has. Pretty high, me thinks.
friend> Yea, I liked it.
me> Well... the composer of that song had had an education since childhood in classical music, so maybe that's why the beginning of the song was like that.
friend> It shows.
me> So you listened to something more, yet?
friend> Well, I didn't like Japanese. Makes hard to understand.
friend [shows how it sounded to her--- her performance was more so of like, Mandarin in sounds. Why does almost everybody I meet that has no background in Japanese think that it sounds like Chinese? *puzzled*]
me [laughs]
friend> I looked at some of their pics, some German site.
me [knows which site she means]> And what were your thoughts?
friend> They are crazy, hair to the sky. And there was a red haired guy which looked as crazy.
me> Yea, hide. But they aren't really crazy XD
friend> But they look like that.
me> *laughs again* Well, they founded whole style.
friend> Yes I said they are crazy.


I might try let her know Violet UK stuff instead, that's in ENGLISH XD  But I wonder she has some problems with the instrumentality overall. Really amused me, thought to share. Feel free to flame me or add histoires of your own.

don't we make some interesting wish to I.N.A's birthday, that is 12/12? ;] Bc, I've been thinking, he has his lovely website and updates quite ooooften so I would think he also reads comments and mails often, soooo.... Don't we make something together? I'm sending him kind of wishes anyway, yet thought that more wishes could be more fun.

hide / Debunk weird news...

So, I thought there are many stories floating around about hide-sama, and thought it would be nice if we could find some sort of evidence either for or against such "news".

Of course, this thread would be universal, applicable to all members resp. ex-members of X, but this just caught my eye.

1] If I read it correctly- and please, do correct me if I am wrong, I did the check up with the dictionary on that one but that is never same as being a native speaker, nor close to that-  Chinese Wikipedia seems to be containing the information that hide-sama was colorblind, not announcing their sources of information.

Didn't they just confuse him with Hyde of Laruku, who, I believe, is widely known to be colorblind? Or is there some evidence indicating that the Chinese Wikipedians did not just completely make that one up?

2] On another forum, there exists a debate whether he was transgendered or not, based on
this interview. Anyone have the link to original Japanese interview, or could possibly check with sources, if being in Japan and having the access? Or anyone think the interpretation he was TG is the correct interpretation of such sentences?

3] What is the conclusion on Finnish Wikipedia article about his child? I found this youtube vid where one YouTube user is saying that the boy in the vid is hide-sama's son..... ?

That would be all from me by now, I'll return to you if I find more information.

Oookay, I have many reguests, be prepared .]

So,
1] I`m looking for Forever Love, Rocket Dive and Goodbye music NOTES, could anyone of you help me out with that? Because, I found it nearly impossible to think up what those might be and would so want to try playing it on the piano/guitar... :cry:

2] I need people to make some annual celebrations, something like, people are celebrating hidemas on 13th Dec and some are celebrating 2nd May, but hey, what's that, that is TWO celebrations a year, tooo little .] we just might debate what we celebrate and make same things, even if not being together in space, get along in our minds and then start recruiting IRL people who would do the same with us and so on and so on... Take it? Leave it? Pleace voice your mind...... [yes, I just want to do something with appreciation of X, and since it's not December yet, and before me in time is just John Lennon's birthday celebration, I'm trying to fill in the empty space that's between all it]

3] need of information> How many of you have actually dyed your hair pink, or attempted to? ;]

4] I need someone to comb my hair and find my textbook, anyone? XD
