I like it a lot, it's not the usal Yoshiki but it's really great... And Youtube quality sucks!

It's a fake. The beginning of the song doesn't match the intro which is featured in the sample of the song on Jrock Revolution's website. o.o

Edit- I listened to more of it and some part do sound like the parts of the song I've heard in other trailers, samples, etc. But I have a feeling that either:

1. Something went wrong when the song was uploaded, as it sounds like the song plays up to a certain point before you hear it start over again and play with the first start. If that makes any sense. o.o
2. The person took the samples, mashed them together, and made weird distorty effects so nobody would notice that she did this. XD

I actually thought it resembled some of hide's other songs, like "Frozen Bug" and "Doubt" for instance. o.o I can sort of see a "Drain" influence in there, though (like in the melody of the verses). ^^

Yoshiki said that the original version of Blue Butterfly is longer than the one he put in Catacombs OST. It's making me curious..

He said in one of his blogs that this is not the definitive version of "Blue Butterfly" which is good news in my opinion. The song is not bad at all,I like some parts of it quite a lot actually and I find it pretty interesting,but I think there's still that "something" missing, that kind of thing that makes a Yoshiki's song unique.

I really hope he does the same kind of restyling he did with "Sex & Religion"(the sample on his myspace is quite better than the itunes version in my opinion)

yeah, I would love to listen to the original one. His longer version should be better. Personally I like him in creating long duration music, like more than 5 mins cuz it captures the feeling more intensely. His songs have never been boring so far.

Btw, anyone has Blue Butterfly lyrics?
