News / Re: #XDay POSTPONED
« on: February 03, 2016, 05:18:16 PM »

Man, I still have a soft spot for this band but man they really need to get their shit together :/ I know they're getting up there in age and have suffered various hurdles with health and management problems. Maybe an unfair comparison but take Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson had fucking CANCER, took some time off beat that shit, put out a new album (albeit not very good but it still got released!) and now I am going to see them in April. All that aside, I can't believe it's been like 6 years and no album... an album that is supposed to be half old material... I know I am just regurgitating what we've all been saying and totally beating a dead horse but jesus christ on a pogo stick. ughhh. Well anyways now that I got that outta the way, I hope Pata has a swift recovery.

At this rate, Yoshiki could release a line of big purple dildos and I wouldn't be very surprised. By the way, Yoshiki, if you're reading this, you owe me future dildo money when the line comes out.

I completely agree. It's really sad to think about how much I've really grown apart from one of my favorite bands ever. I just can't seem to get as excited about them as I used to. I guess one can only read so many bullshit tweets from Yoshiki that don't really mean anything. I wouldn't be surprised if the band breaks up again in the near future with how slow things are going. What annoys me the most is all the press and exposure they've put out to try and capture a wider audience in the west, but with no real substance to back it up. Don't get me wrong, they've had one hell of an amazing career and put out some great stuff over the years. But when you just have interviews with Yo-shheee-keeeey talking about buying studios from metallica and claiming to be bigger the the beatles, rolling stones and zep combined... you just come off as A MASSIVE DOUCHEBAG to the average rock fan. Oh and tweeting pictures of yourself next to your own wax statue of yourself, really doesn't help the whole MASSIVE DOUCHEBAG vibe. I always used to get excited about sharing their music with friends and strangers alike, but the last couple of years I just keep quite about them. I wan't them to either get their shit together so we can have something to be proud of as fans again, or just quit.

I don't know if any of you guys watched this video yet, but Yoshiki posted it ealier. He has a little cameo 46 seconds in to the video. But more importantly... Tenacious D is back. I'm stoked to say the least! :D Also its pretty funny to see the similarities between Jack Black's fictional persona and Yoshiki in real life  ::)

Forum Games / X-Freaks Spampocalypse 2012!
« on: March 15, 2012, 06:17:09 AM »
Hey everybody, I have gotten real tired of the lack of info on the band's activity, and especially all the spam we get everyday. So I figured we can start a little game. I call it...

 "SPAMPOCALYPSE 2012"

As the end of the year draws nearer, more and more spam has oozed itself onto our humble little forum. Taking away what was once an online haven for deeper discussions of alternative music, culture, and all around, badassness heavy metal music from around the globe. In the last days of 2012, the few X-freaks left holding on by only their love and devotion for the band, have banded together to fight and stop the impending doom of the spampocalypse. Arm yourselves! Show us your weapons of might!

This is what i've got in store for them spammers! >:D
Sidearm, Markarov pistol.

Secondary firearm: Sawed off shotgun, for close encounters :)

Primary firearm: Flamethrower, because spambots deserve no mercy

Melee weapon: Ballistic knives

Support/extraction vehicle: Hind attack helicopter

And most importantly, the theme music blasting from my support vehicle

Well it was a lot closer than I thought it would be at first, but we came out on top in the end!

X-Japan 60.43%
BVB 39.57%

Boo yeah, good job X-freaks :D

They're up against black veil brides now, X should be able to blow 'em out of the water easily :) Let's keep up the momentum!

Yoshiki / Re: Yoshiki's new XM radio show, "Yoshiki Radio"
« on: July 04, 2011, 11:00:32 PM »
It was only that one segment as soon as Toshi came in from what I've listened to from the rest of the show, the rest of it Yoshiki is still whispering.

lol damnit!

Its nice that Yoshiki isn't whispering into the microphone as he usually does, definitely an improvement over the earlier shows.

I hope they never release the full pv if it means it'll have that opening with that girl on the staircase seeing Yoshiki, and then that horrible close up of Yoshiki's face with that lipstick on, hope that footage never sees the light of day.
[/quote]

I agree that scene is absolutely cringe worthy, but my guess is that it'll probably be cut since they cut out the piano intro in the official itunes release of Jade. It would be nice to see the finished product though, since they invested so much time and effort in it.

Just downloaded it, thanks for the search tip starwarsartist :D I guess they decided to cut the piano intro, probably for the best. I hope they actually release the REAL PV for Jade sometime. The LA shoot PV is cool and all, but that crowd noise they use throughout the whole song is pretty annoying :/

X JAPAN World Tour / Re: X-Japan World Tour Round-up
« on: October 12, 2010, 12:08:26 AM »
I definitely think the tour was a great success! Even though most of the shows didn't sell out, they still had very good attendance. They all gave every ounce of effort on this tour, and it was truly amazing to be a part of the experience. The set list was very good, a good mix of old and new. As for their stuff ending up at hot topic, its probably gonna happen, but hey if thats the worst that could happen, it doesn't really bother me. I hope they keep going, making new music, and come back to north America for an even longer tour next year!

I didn't get to say anything on the forum yet because I was busy the rest of the weekend. But wow, X was everything I could hope it would be. It was really surreal being in the 2nd row from the stage, so amazing to see them live. I don't think I was ever happier to be at a live show before.

Thank you for posting this, it was a really great interview! I'm glad Yoshiki had more to say than the usual soft "ummmm...its like... ahhhhhh... I dunno :3"
