Im really excited for the new album. Havent been this excited since Chinese Democracy and Slash's solo album =P This is the first X Japan studio album that will come out since Ive gotten into them 4 years ago. Now Im more than grateful I made it to the Chicago show, but Im always a sucker for NEW music from bands I love (who isnt?!). Anyways, as excited as I am, Im a little worried this will be nothing more than a new greatist hits compilation with a few new songs (like Van Halen's Best of Both Worlds). I know theyre trying to break into a new market, but why not just do an actual album and then maybe a new greatest hits? Can you really count this as a new album if its 70% old material? Im hoping Jade, Born to be Free, and I.V. arent the only new tracks on the album. I am defiantly psyched of hearing the new versions of the old songs, but Id still have completely new tunes. Then again, there could be 1-3 (or more) new tracks we dont know about on it...
Also, I remember seeing a preview of the Kurenai PV. It was completely different with an awesome violin intro, but I dont think the "youve gone away from me" and hide guitar intro were on it =/
It should still be great though. The new Tears, Rusty Nail, X, and Endless Rain SHOULD be a given. Art of Life is my favorite song in history but it would be useless on this album, its best in its full glory (although I LOVED the live version on the North American tour). The original is in english, and perfect as is. Id rather new stuff be on the album...
So I think an ideal track list would be-
1. Jade
2.Rusty Nail
3. I.V.
4. Endless Rain
5. Kurenai
6. Born to Be Free
7. New Song
8. New Song
9. X
10. Tears
(If it winds up more than 10 tracks, even better)
