Two new hide guitar models released by Fernandes

Fernandes has released two new hide model guitars, called the MG-155 PS and the MG-145 SW. The prices are 155,000yen (162,750yen with taxes) and 145,000yen (152,250yen with taxes) respectfully. Both guitars are limited releases with only 100 models.

This is the same with the MG-340X CS. It dissapeared from the website and now it is back ^^

There are other hide models available also (not limited editions), lots of them. The biggest fans probably own a few of those already

judging by the model numbers and and the cost, they look like the "cheaper" versions of the originals...most likely the necks are bolted on rather than being through-neck

If you click the link you can see the specs. All guitars besides the MG 340X CS are bolt-on. That one is the most expensive also, 340,00yen or 357,000yen with taxes. The neck is also made of Honduras Mahogany, instead of maple, like the rest. I'm not an expert on guitars so I can't comment on anything else tho

The MG 340X CS is the only one "high" quality guitar. This is also the only Complete hide signature guitar... But the quality of the other guitars are very great as well !

There's no doubt that they're cheap imitations of the ones hide played. Even at the 340 level, my guess is the electronics and wood selection are inferior. BTW, I love how they randomly bumped all the prices up. 145 used to be 120. They need actual model NAMES @_@; Blah, no, this whole 'signature' line is hopeless. If you want to get a hide-esque guitar, you're way better off buynig a $700 BC Rich exotic classic mockingbird and swapping the pickups for EMG 81 and Dimarzio SD -_-; that'd play better than any of these Fernandes hide wannabes

As he says ... for a long time I've been wanting a hide model guitar, but instead next year I'm having a black mockingbird fully customized, with the "X" logo on the head.

Will be way better than those.

You still can buy a hide model guitar and change the pick-ups, etc...

plus, if you like the MG-145X style, I don't know how you can paint it that way... except if you're a really good painter...

The only bad thing with hide model guitar is it is not neck through...
