First they show the Documentary somewhere else first.
Then they secretly move the album release to fall 2016 (or whatever).
Now they cancel the whole thing all together???

I'm waiting for the press release. Jeez. seriously.

Alright guys, there's always a lot of talk about the setlist, boring songs staying there and cool ones disappearing. Sometimes Yoshiki asks the fans what they'd like to hear - but since it's just individual tweets, well, he can just ignore the ones he doesn't like and play WHATEVER.

So we thought it'd be nice to have a huge poll with every X song it and see what fans actually really like to hear. To get a reliable result (and maybe spam yoshiki with the outcome...! ;P ) we need as many as possible to give their vote!

News / XDAY, Video Message, Japan Expo and Hyper Japan...

While X-Freaks was down, X had a sudden fit of activities... o_O



Yoshiki announced that they'll soon announce "XDAY", which is an "big event" and something that "we have been waiting for for so many years". Whatever that means.
Note that there's a snippet of a new song in the video message as well as lots of random London sightseeing spots...!

Also, Yoshiki announced that he'll be at Japan Expo on July 4th for a short special guest appearance (more info) as well as an unplugged concert with ToshI at Hyper Japan on July 11th (more info)

Noone knows if he'll announce the XDAY details there or just randomly on twitter or some website, though...

We'll see...!

News / NEW X Japan Album and Japan-wide Tour!!!

Huge surprise!! X Fans are used to long waits and announcements appearing out of nowhere – but this time the news we had awaited for years had been announced!
Eventually, both the New X JAPAN Album and dates for the Japan Tour have been revealed!!

The new album will be named „SURVIVE“, like one of the songs on the tracklist and will be released globally via iTunes on August 10th. There will be a physical release as well, in a couple of different editions, e.g. a Japan-only and overseas version. Apparently, there will also be a special limited edition of just 2000 copies, but details have yet to be announced.

More details will be released during an announcement on May 21th, 6pm (JST) which will be livestreamed on Yoshiki’s Ustream account!

There is also a message from Yoshiki:
„Dear fans, I am terribly sorry for letting all of your wait for so long. Ever since 2010, we have been struggling to put together a new X JAPAN album which will blow your mind. You know that we’ve been through a lot and had to overcome several difficulties. However, finally we made it and you will be able to listen to our new album “SURVIVE” soon!! Additionally there will be a Japan-wide tour, followed by another world tour. I can’t wait to see all of you again!
We have survied all that and we will never give up! Nothing is impossible!
Thank you for your endless support, we love you all!!! ”

Yoshiki / Yoshiki's health problems (2015 Edition)

Okay, since I can't find a thread about Yoshiki's health issues, I'll just open a new one. ;P

I'll make it short - according to YM, Yoshiki was adviced to get his wrist surgery asap, as half of his tendon is torn. That would obviously mean that he can't use his hand for some months - and because of that, he wants to postpone that much-needed surgery until next year. However, if he overdoes it now, his tendon might tear completely and he wouldn't be able to move his hand anymore at all.

.............Well, I could say lots of things now, but little of them would be nice. -_-

One of them started an X Japan Podcast and the first episode is finally out.

Yoshiki has mentioned his work on a Hello Kitty Theme several times already – now he finally played it in public for the first time on October 29th, during the VIP Party at the eve of Hello Kitty Con, which took place at Los Angeles’ MOCA in celebration of Hello Kitty’s 40th anniversary.

The song is simply named „Hello Hello“ and a mixture of Yoshiki’s signature piano playing, accompanied by Katie Fitzgerald (Violet UK’s vocalist), string players and a happy beat that does Hello Kitty justice is overlaying the whole piece.

“I am very honored to be given the opportunity to compose this song. I hope that Hello Kitty and the theme song will bring more peace and the melody of love to the world. I want to share this with my children one day.” – Yoshiki

After meeting Hello Kitty’s creator Yuko Yamaguchi for the first time in 2007, Yoshiki was asked about composing a theme song for Hello Kitty the year after. He dedicated the song to his personal friend, Kunihiko Tsuji, Sanrio’s Vice President, who passed away in 2013.

And since Yoshiki doesn't seem to be involved in the production, there's a realistic chance of actually being able to see the finished movie one day!

Toshi / Toshi's "Crystal Rock Night Summer" concert to be streamed live on Augsut 25th!

Apparently, we will finally get the chance to “take part” at one of ToshI’s solo concerts – On August 25th, NicoNico will stream his concert named “Crystal Rock Night Summer Live in Daiba“!

During his concert, he will be joined by his support “Crystal Rock Knights”, consisting of Shinya (Dir en Grey), Kei (Baroque), Yuu (Merry), Akinori (lynch.), Kate (My Fairytale) and pianist Toshiharu Kotaki.

You will be able to find the live stream on Toshi’s NicoNico channel.

Offtopic / How have you been doing?

Since it's been a long time that I - and a lot of others - had been active here, I thought it would be interesting to share what we've been up to the last years?

As for myself, in 2011 I write my Bachelor thesis and handed it in one week after the X JAPAN Europe Tour.  (I was basically working on both projects at once LOL)
Since I still had a bunch of ongoing projects I went about half a year as a freelance designer and was eventually employed permanently by one of my clients - YAY!
Now I've been working there for about 2 years already! Unfortunately that also means no freetime during the day and in the evening I don't really have energy left to do much, that's the main reason I hadn't been active here.

That aside, I became a big fan of (wearing) Kimono and had been active in the local japanese culture scene a lot, organising dress up booths at events. It's lots of fun (and work)!

Well, but now I'l kind of back to the X scene in my lazy evenings, yay!
