A bit under US$10 or so.
I wonder how much of it goes directly to Taiji? Hope he gets part of it anyway!
And if I'm not mistaken, most official band/artist fan clubs in Japan cost money, but usually it's paid annually, and you generally get a fan club-only newsletter in the postal mail, plus the ability to buy special fan club-only merchandise and buy tickets before everyone else and stuff like that. They're not cheap, but I really forget how much they usually are per year.
I guess now that the internet and youtube-type videos are more and more popular, we'll see more different kinds of pay systems and different benefits and stuff. But 1050 yen a month for videos online sounds a little like a porn site subscription.
I wonder if the new fan club will have a name or not? The old Taiji/DTR one was called Gasoline Cowboy, I thought that was a really cool name.
EDITED TO ADD:
Looking at this again, I'm not sure now whether the Taiji fan club sends you an email or something in the postal mail. Is a メールマガジン (mail magazine) an email thing or real-world-mail thing?
