And aditionally, do you think 2019 would be a good year to release it? (let's help Yoshiki on this one)

Bonus question: what strange things do you predict will happen in 2019?
E.g.1: Yoshiki stars in a movie with Gackt.
E.g. 2: Hyde composes a song with J of Luna Sea and calls it L'arc~en~ciel feat. J
E.g. 3: Sugizo becomes an underwear model

Woah, I can haz admin colour.

I vote "No" but I sincerely wish I am wrong about this!

Also I predict that ToshI will pursue a new career path as a comedian. Yoshiki will occasionally join him, but he never reaches Toshls level of hilariousity (is that even a word?).

I very highly doubt it's ever coming out at this point unless someone hacks Yoshiki's computers and leaks it.
(So if someone could do that right now, thank you)

Maybe Luna Sea?

They have reunited only in 2010, but already released 2 albums.

Or der Zibet?

They have reunited only in 2007, but already released 4 albums.

or D'erlanger?

They have reunited only in 2007, but already released 6 albums.

or Gargoyle?

They released 6 albums since 2007.

or Dead End?

They have reunited only in 2009, but already released 2 albums.

or Buck-Tick?

They released 7 albums since 2007.

Toshi has released TWO albums, made a collab song, a theme song for a TV show and released 6 DVDs in 2018. He also had his own radio show on primetime in the biggest radio station in Japan, was on countless TV shows in which we got some nice performances, played a fair share of concerts and dinner shows, including a few with a jazz band.

Rest my case.

Don't think it will be released anytime soon, so I voted No.

Not to be the Grammer Police, but I believe the correct word is actually, "Hilarity." Again, my apologies.   :P

Idk if 2019 will be a good time to release the album or not because we don't know what 2019's "thing" is yet. If the music climate swings back into the rock genre or something where people are kind of seeking something darker than pop, than "yes" it would be a perfect time to release the album. Thankfully the album is finished, so if that happens X can pounce and release it.

However, trends usually last in increments more than 1 year... and the 1st year is the weaker base of a trend while the following year ppl really start piggy-backing and it starts  to become a solidified personality of the times as years go on for at least the next 3-5, sometimes 10 years.

So really, if 2019 becomes the year of bringing back rock, it wouldn't be good to release the album until the end of the year or even maybe early 2020. That way they could focus on bringing fans and new audience members alike onto a full year's worth of touring throughout 2020/early 2021.

Or something. Idk. Idrk what I'm talking about.

We are not trying to keep the legacy—we are trying to move forward, so our sound is going to change. I’m ready to be criticized, for example by fans saying "you should rather be this style." I’m ready for it, I’m okay with any concept of criticism-Yoshiki

I feel like any steam they may have had over the last 8 years has been squandered. I dunno, maybe Yoshiki can buy off enough promo and industry folk to force the records to be a success but I feel as it is that the album is just gonna be little more than blip on the radar as far as Western markets are concerned.

I don't think this album will be out. Ever.

It has already changed from a "best of" to a rerecording of songs in english (the half-baked version of Tears is still played at the end of the concerts), then an album with only new songs where half of them are recycled (Rockstar, Hero, Beneath the Skin...). It would be called "X JAPAN", then it still has no name, then it would have Hyde and Marilyn Manson, then Taiji dies and became a member of the band again after dying, then it would be released on the X Day, then X Day was just another concert like every other since 2010.

There is so much confusing shit with X reunion that I don't believe in a new album anymore.

2019 is over in three months and it seems the majority here was right: no album in 2019! Seems like they're planning something for 2020, but... let's not hope for an album. We don't want to get frustrated.  ;)
