Yoshiki announced upcoming concerts today on twitter.

Hopefully this is just the japanese leg of the tour, otherwise the title 'World Tour' could be a bit misleading.  ;)

July 11th - Osaka
July 12th - Osaka
July 14th - Yokohama
July 15th - Yokohama
July 16th - Yokohama
July 17th - Yokohama

Wow, 4 days in a row?

Few months ago I thought the band was lacking in energy, specially Toshi, but looks like they're back in shape

hi there

Wow. That's great news. Can't wait to hear more about the tour and the dates. Hopefully they'll come back to Europe. That would be amazing. :D

Well that's great news indeed!

Once again "World Tour" for X Japan could mean Japan and a little bit of China or Taiwan and that's it haha

Hope they'll do a proper World Tour though :)

And if they announce some concerts in July, we can hope for the album to be released by then, no?

Hopefully! It would be a great year for X Japan if they got the album released and do a proper World Tour.

The most probable is that this is not the "World Tour" yet, just only few confirmed dates. Playing in two cities is not a Tour. They must be negotiating other places and dates...

Ok.. it gives us the hope that we #may# get the album short before or during the concerts in Japan???

The word WORLD TOUR gives us the hope that there are more concerts?
Just hope that they will be in Europe.

Even if we don't mind the cost, I don't think we will be able to get the concert tickets in Japan since they are normally sold out within hour(s).

So apparently something takes place even before the Japan concerts? And the only country named so far is the US. o_o Well, we'll find out...

There's a four month gap between now & July, so maybe they can squeeze a handful of shows in the USA, do the Japanese ones & then continue with more outside of Japan & the USA or fill in with a music festival since summer is usually when they start. Although it's a damn good idea to start a tour fresh off of the heels of the documentary & X Day, I'm kinda worried about Yoshiki & his wrist(s).

It reaaaly seems like they're planning something big this year. They will be appearing on music station on 31st of  March again. That means promotion for the band. Smells like they want to release something... Or announce a tour or whatever. One does not go to music station if there is nothing to promote.

Just curious since I can't read Japanese and rely on Google translator for a rough idea of what these articles say, does it say actually say something takes place before the Japanese tour? All of the translations I've generated say...

"Furthermore, American performances etc will be announced in future. According to YOSHIKI, "The movie has received an echo, I decided to make a world tour with gratitude feeling". I also asked if the Japanese performance will be the first question, but I did not answer it clearly because I smiled with "Ufu"."

Is that last sentence what it's about? As in, will the Japan Tour be the first shows OF the tour? interesting...

Our Japanese team member wrote this article. When we talked about it she mentioned that it's not clear yet what will happen when but apparently Yoshiki said that people should reserve time from the end of June to the beginning of July...? As always, many hints but no facts. :P

(I just hope they don't come anywhere near while I can't take days off from work! That would be sad!!)

That's awesome, thanks for that extra little info. Not far off...hopefully this is their time.
