Does anyone know which guitar parts in I.V. are hide's? I.e. some of the actual chords/riffs, or just the noises during the "solo".

I have also wondered this. I have always assumed it was the guitar "noise", but it would be nice to get confirmation?

Is just the noise. I remember Yoshiki saying anywhere that he got some old recordings, put some distortion on it and recorded in I.V.
As there is just only random noise, when they play it live Sugizo is always playing random noise as well, as there is actually no tabs for it.

It's likely that the main riff is from hide. This quite simple single string riff fits hide's style with spread beaver and Zilch. The "noise" is more a trademark of Sugizo in which he uses a whammy bar. Hide's signature guitars don't feature whammy bars (although he did use a whammy pedal).

Only thing is Wick, Sugizo wasn't a member of the band when the I.V. single was recorded.

Hmm true but they already had good connections with Sugizo and if they only had a riff, it's not that they could ask hide to finish the song.. It's still assumption that Sugizo wrote the solo but I think it's very likely also because of resemblance with stuff in Jade.
