I tried paypal, too, which didn't work. so I signed up trough the niconico app which worked just fine. :/

Interesting. I'll try through the app next time

Yeah! Sooo cool, thanks so much for the link! I'm just beginning to watch it, but it's a pity the sound is so bad(at least compared to other X lives)
*edit* Ok, I gotta admit, it's really cool to see them play in a small club. Really great. The sound mix is no too bad, either, it just sounds like a 96kbps mp3 file.
*edit 2* And Toshi sings the ballads better than ever. And when the guitar punchrd in on Endless rain - kinda rough, without overdubs, glorious. I'm happy.

Thanks for the link. Yes, the sound is bad… anyway, better than nothing.
But, the venue is really small.

This performance would have been amazing to be at...the rawness and punch of the sound is incredible compared to their larger venues. When the guitar solo began on Endless Rain I nearly died; it had so much character. Really hoping this trend continues for them on their tour. Hoping for some international dates as well after Japan.

It was nice. But something that still annoys me is that since the 2010 US tour they don't play the full song. Why, Yoshiki?

Setlist for 1st Yokohama Arena show:

Miracle SE
Jade
Weekend
Beneath the Skin
Angel (New Song)
Hero
Pata & Heath Solo
Drain
Sugizo Violin Solo
Say Anything (ToshI Acoustic Version)
Yoshiki Piano
Forever Love
Kurenai
Born to be free
X
-Again-

World Anthem SE
Rusty Nail
Endless Rain
Art of Life
Tears SE
Forever Love SE

Amazing to see a return of Weekend. Odd to see Rusty Nail near the end as it's always been more of an opener song, even after Jade. I'm eager to hear what Angel sounds like. This would be a lot better without the solos in between but I guess Yoshiki and them need a break...No Silent Jealousy but I guess Weekend makes up for it. I'm not a fan of Beneath the Skin...would much rather see Dahlia but after their last attempt in 2009...I wonder if they'll risk it again. I wonder if Art of Life was full or just 2nd movement. I'm guessing the latter.

I hope to see Week End with Sugizo, without playback.

Is nice to see changes those changes in the setlist, even Rusty Nail at the end. It is a nice ending song. And I still think Art of Life is just the second part, as usual.

Wow, that's a pretty neat set list all in all. I'm pretty surprised like the rest of you about "Rusty Nail" being at the tail end of the show, but even more more surprised over how many songs were in the set list overall (not counting the SEs). I hope they guys don't wear themselves out too much. . .

Here is an OK video of the new song, Angel:

Not bad, I am guessing that this is an acoustic version of it though? Interested to see what the album one will sound like.

The set list does sound good, nice mix of songs!

Sorry to hear they don't cut down on the solos, at least Heath's, I always find them boring.

I hope this is only an acoustic version and there is a full version coming ahead.
But I'm more anxious for a video of they playing Week End.

I wonder what a "full" version would sound like. It kinda feels like a strictly piano & voice song like "Aisuru Hito Yo" or "I'll Be Your Love".

There are plans for it being more than a piano&voice song since Yoshiki posted a photo of the drum score on instagram not too long ago.

When you say it sounds strictly like one though, I gotta say I agree. It just sounds so wonderful the way it is. Can't say I'm not curious about the drum score though!

Is that so? Now you've got me curious as well. I'd say that I'm fairly interested in the lyrics of "Angel" at the moment. Although I said earlier that ToshI's English has improved a lot, his accent makes it a bit hard to decipher during live shows sadly. I was trying to type down the lyrics earlier, but I gave up after a stanza or two.

I'm interested in the lyrics as well! I've been listening for hours now... Some lines are plain indecipherable. I'm hoping over the course of the next 14 days, a flood of other fan-recordings of Angel will see the light of day.

My take so far:

Where do we go, I ask myself, I ask my shadow
?
The edge of the night (?) the shade in New York City
If I could fly from skyscrapers, I'd be flying to you
Like an Angel

And I, I'd love you like there's no tomorrow
Sweet, sweet Angel
if there's a tomorrow
I'd do the same

Why do we hurt someone ?
?
Tears from the prayer have a taste of bloody-?
Wish I could bury her sorrow cause all she needed was love
Love of Angel

Till time takes away all tears and fears
I'll be your Angel
Fly across the world to see your smile

Baby you need love
Time and time again
The way you need to be
The way you need ?

Where do we go, I ask myself, I ask my shadow
?

Not super confident about that 2nd to last verse though.

Here's my take on it. Not accurate at all though.

“Where do we go?” I ask myself
I asked my shadow
Twilight is flowing
the silhouette
The edge of the night traced the shape of New York City
If I could fly from skyscrapers
I'd be flying to you
like an angel

And I, I'd love you like there's no tomorrow
Sweet, sweet angel
If there's a tomorrow, I'd do the same

Why do we hurt someone
who has cried a river?
Sometimes our love could masquerade as hate
Tears from your prayer have a taste of bloody Mary
I wish I could bury her sorrow
'cause all she needed was love
Love from angel

'Till time takes away all tears and fears
I'll be your angel
Fly across the world to see your smile

Baby, you need love
Time and time again
The way you need to be
The way you need yourself to be

“Where do we go?” I ask myself
I asked my shadow
Tears still flowing
my silhouette

Before I saw your take I started hearing:

Sometimes our love do* masqeurade as hate
Tears from the prayer had the taste of bloody Mary

*ToshI might have sung do but meant does? Either way our guesses are very similar so maybe there's something there  :)

Maybe. But in any case, we should probably make a topic for this song when more information becomes available.
