Mods? This guy is annoying.

On topic: New video by Yoshiki, is there another new song at 1:20? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xe_JklDmCU4

It does sound like a new song! (They've sure made a few new tracks since the new album was "99% complete" :P) Seriously can't wait for the 3 concerts; Toshi's voice is sounding spot on at the moment!

Yoshiki's latest tweet:

"YES! WE'LL PLAY SOME NEW SONGS!! at Madison Square Garden #XjapanMSG COMING SOON!!
#Jade #EndlessRain #Hero #BeneathTheSkin"

I believe that 'Beneath The Skin' is actually a song that Yoshiki and Sugizo wrote for S.K.I.N that they performed at their one and only show in 2007, so it's at least 7 years old.

--Edit--

Yeap, here's the song that's playing at 1:20 in video being performed by S.K.I.N

Wow... S.K.I.N., totally forgot about that band. Did they release an album or something at the time?

So by new songs, did he mean re-use some of the SKIN ones? Doesn't sound very X Japanish to me...

We'll see

Nope, no album - just one show and nothing since.

The arpeggiated electric guitar sounds very Luna Sea'ish, so it's got Sugizo's signature all over it. At least it's a step away from the song writing being entirely Yoshiki dominated.

Anyone knows if the concert is sold out or not? Hopefully they don't have a big block of empty seats……

Tickets are still on sale and they are advertising it like crazy, so unsurprisingly, it's not sold out. They never stood a realistic chance of doing that.

They had some sections closed off in Paris, so I guess they'll do that in MSG as well.

Almost 6 and less than a 200 people waiting inside the msg. Probably more for the floor entrance.

I'll admit I'm pretty damn excited.  A couple of really awesome hide cosplayers.

Meanwhile the lady at the goodies booth is sooooo rude Holy crap haha

Unless I'm mistaken, endless rain was at least and addition.

I also found Toshi's voice to be excellent tonight.

Yoshiki's usual sappiness turned out to be truly touching..

All in all, they played a solid 3 hours and besides a few mistakes did very well. I had a great time... Happily impressed.

20 years waiting so then again, as I mentioned elsewhere, they could have farted on stage for 2 hours and I would have been happy but I sincerely believe it was one of their better recent performance

Those clips are nice :)
Thosi's voice sure is good.

He doesn't seem like he let the crowd do half his job like in Yokohama, that's nice (even though when he didn't' sing the "I miss you... I can't live without you" part in Silent Jealousy, it bugged me...). Hope he did sing the whole songs, especially on Rusty Nail (since the reunion in 2008, I'm always pissed during this song 'cause he always let the crowd sing too much).

Do you know if they plane on releasing a DVD or something? Cause it's their first time in MGS, it's special etc. Even if with X JAPAN, we know it can take a veeeeeery long time ^^"

I gotta say, its pretty cool to see them pull this off. Its surreal seeing that pic with the floor and lower bowl pretty crowded. Props to them!

In one of the Q&A videos of their panel at NY Comic Con, Yoshiki jokingly asked Toshi if he thinks they can finish off the album by mid-2015 and he also posted on facebook. "Wait for the info for the new #album and #WorldTour!!! We love you!! #WeAreX!!!!!"

So I think *fingers crossed* it's safe to say we could have another tour/more shows by next summer with some luck.

Did Toshi just say...

Did he just say Beneath The Skin is gonna be on the new album or do I need to clean my ears?

Not that the new album ever will happen, but why would it be weird for Beneath the Skin to be on the record?

I fully expect that, Hero, I.V., Born to be Free, Without You, and Jade to be on it.

Throw another 3-4 unheard tunes on there and you have an actual studio album

I don't find it weird, I'm just thrown off a little bit haha. It does sound like a natural progression from where they left off with Dahila in my opinion.
I'm really hoping 'Without You' comes out in studio form eventually >.>

As much as I'm not a huge fan of their newer stuff (Jade did grow on me though), they do sound better live than they ever will studio version. I profoundly hated Born to be free and thought it was actually not bad at the MSG (gasp!).

So we've got Without you, I.V., Jade, Born to be free, Hero, Beneath the skin, Scarlet love song would be a stretch...

Still, quite a few new songs and I somewhat agree that they are an almost natural, albeit sad, evolution from te Dahlia era. They've re-recorded english lyrics for Tears, Kurenai and Rusty Nail as far as I know? Those will most likely end up on the new album too. That leaves very little room for uknown songs.

Now... if only they could play Weekend, Dahlia, Orgasm, Blueblood, Sadistic Desire... some of those live, it'd be great. A Vanishing Vision medley is still something I dream of haha...
