About Kurenai,

The different take on the vocals was very good, and the harmonising sounded awesome, also the half acoustic/electric sound from the guitar felt very energetic during the chorus, I loved it.

Have to say I couldn't recognise the opening too well, it sounds too much like the opening of Stairway to Heaven to me, apart from that its all amazing though.

Oh no... I can see myself. XDD Not at the center (that's my sister) but to her right.

You were great, sometimes felt that we couldn't hear the vocals but apart from that I really enjoyed. But yeah, still sounds good, your performance is so energic and genuine. LOVED to be there. :) ♥ Want to see you again!

We're X!

Well if you want a honest critique I'd have to say as a guitarist that the playing was pretty good and the energy was there. The drummer missed a few cymbal strikes and I couldn't hear his double bass strikes very clearly which led to "X" feeling a bit slower than the original. But the double bass could just be because of the quality of the video, and the cymbals are just very minor mistakes.

The singer is ok but his voice is very low compared to Toshi. I like that he doesn't try to sing as high as Toshi if it's out of his range because that would just sound like a train wreck but then again these songs just don't sound the same without a high soaring voice over the music.

All in all I'd probably give this like a 7 or 8 out of 10. :)

Keep practicing and if your singer can practice to improve his range to sing a bit higher that would make you sound all the better. I'm glad there is now a tribute band for X in my home country and if you ever manage to get lost gigging somewhere near Kiuruvesi I'll certainly come to your gig! :D

wow, cool project :)
The energetic parts of the songs reel really good! I think the less energetic parts rely more on the vocals, which are somewhat subdued. It must be hard to imitate toshi  ;D

Keep it up!

As a vocalist, lemme tell ya, Toshi's voice is HARD to emulate.

The hardest song, interestingly enough, is Rusty Nail.  The verses are fine, but the chorus is suuuuch a pain in the ass.  I.V. is relatively easy, Jade has some high notes that are not so easy all the time.  Older Toshi singing tends to be easier because the vocals are a bit more rough, more metal if you will, so it's easier to get by with "Cheating" with more aggressive vocals since it constricts the vocal chords a bit more.

Long story short, Toshi is in a league of his own for the most part. =P

About ToshI´s voice, I guess everyone expected that, but c´mon, be brave, you will do it, and we wonna hear it ;D
