Now that the ticket sale for both the London and Paris X Japan concerts has begun, I'm going to re-issue my call-to-arms for everyone who are going to both concerts - the X-Train project :)

The idea is that we'll book a whole carriage on the Eurostar train going between London and Paris, when we switch cities. We might not all get to stay in the same hotel, but we'll sure have a lot of fun on the two-hour train ride :)

The cheapest tickets start at 38GBP (for youth up to 26 years), which is a lot cheaper than taking a plane (specially if you add the time it takes to get to/from the airports and the money for transportation there and back). We already have a group of interested people from the Xplosion-online.com team, if you are interested also then ask your friends and come with us!

Right now the idea is to leave some time on the afternoon of June 29th, so we'll have an extra day to sightsee in Paris. I don't think the difference in cost of hotels in Paris and London is so big that it'll make a difference. One carriage is about 56 seats, it shouldn't bee too difficult to book it all :)

Who likes the idea and what do you guys think of the outbound time?

EDITED WITH INFO:

We are taking the 16:02 train from London on the 29th and we are seated in carriage number 15. Make sure you pick that one while purchasing your ticket.

Sounds cool, a shame I can't take part of this, because I'll have to get back from London to Munich for work and after one day at work I'll come to Paris.

i'd totally be up for possibly being arrested for chanting WE ARE X on a train for 4 hours, however i'm in the same boat as Matthias. I'm heading straight home after London as i'm in work on wednesday and thursday then taking a flight straight from work on thursday to france. We'll have to meet you guys in france :)

This sounds epic, i'd love to join in if I can get the cash together sharpish, although I doubt any of us'll have vocal chords left for Paris after so many "WE ARE X!"s

Okay, for all who want to join...!
It's the Eurostar on June 29th at 16:02 leaving from London to Paris. We decided to take over carriage 15, which was completely empty when we started booking. LOL
Unfortunately, there are 4 "normal" people who got the other table-group-seats, but i bet they will feel sorry for it...hohohoho!

here's the current X-ed seating plan! :P

I'll be in the next chapter...

Slightly off-topic, but...

What kind of train connections there are between Paris and Berlin?
Maybe we could execute a similar project there too.

I´m not sure about trains, but why not going by bus, like BerlinienBus

Well... I just checked your suggestion. Price is 78€, and the total travel time is abour 12h.
I think I'll keep searching for better options, but thanks for the tip!

seeing those prices I think it would be cheaper to take an airplane :), that means going faster to Berlin, more time to party there ;D

Hey guys, I really wanna join in on this but I'm utterly clueless about Paris, and don't have the faintest clue about distances between train/venue/hotel etc (google is not my friend) can anyone give me some info on locations and such? Or would even be willing to have a nervous and confused fangirl attached to them during the trip while probably yelling "I DON'T KNOW WHATS GOING ON!"

Well, trains from Germany usually end at the gare de l'est or le gare du nord, depends from which region of Germany you come ;) The venue " Le zenith" is a bit outside of Paris center. There is a hotel very near to the  venue, called " Hôtel de Paris". But you have to be quick, when I booked the hotel two days ago it was nearly full.
It's one of the cheaper hotels, hotels in Paris are very expensive, or very.... let's call it a sort of adventure ;)
Trains from Germany start at about 39 €.
Was this enought information for the beginning? :)

Edit:
Well as i've just seen that you're coming from england.... just forget everything about the trains :D
...maybe I should have looked about your origin before writing... :S
