X JAPAN YOSHIKI's "Crystal Piano" charity auction restarting notice
Thank you for using Yahoo! Auctions

Regarding the charity auction of X JAPAN YOSHIKI’s “Crystal Piano” that began on March 17th:

Yahoo! Auctions has determined an exception was necessary due to an overload of unexpected high volume traffic, high bidding prices and the time required for bidder confirmation procedures; and has temporarily suspended the bidding process on this auction.

After restructuring our systems and confirming bidders during this time, the auction will resume on the date below from the last confirmed sum of 512,231.70(USD) (JPY 42,003,000).

Auction resumes: April 25th (Monday) 5:00 p.m. (17:00) The Japanese Time
Auction ends: April 28th (Thursday) 7:00 p.m. (19:00) The Japanese Time

Please note: Yahoo! Auctions will institute a new rule during the resumption of this auction that bidders pledging over 609,756(USD) (JPY 50,000,000) must give prior I.D. confirmation.

If you plan to bid on this auction, please confirm that you have read the prior notices on bidding.

We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

@rafaelo: yes it's in Chinese/Cantonese, just the news that we got previously - that the auction got billions bid which is very hard to believe, and yahoo suspects the bid and tried to contact the bidder but received no reply yet, that's why they put the auction on hold temporary

YoshikiOfficial Yoshiki   Yes! My piano auction for Japan Relief will RE-START 4/25!! :) http://bit.ly/ffEkFA
hope it will work better this time, it´s such a good idea and it would be pitty if it can´t be realized because of some idiots who want to be famous for almost 15 min

I was amazed how fast it kept rising myself, but figured it was really huge fans just wanting to donate as well as support a good cause.

Yahoo auctions has a rule of how it should rise and well it probably just made them freak, but the huge bid does make people go is that real, even I did that.

I do hope it raises quite a bit seeing as its only about 500k in US dollars, I imagine under 5 millions myself, and no BS bidders since this does have a lot of attention.

I was hoping it was Yoshiki saying all that, but oh well.

As for the new video of him just posted. Last time he'll ever play the crystal piano? I think that was the point of the video.

Yesterday evening after the restart the auction was at 370.000$ and now it´s back at 51K ? That would be a really cheap piano then ... This whole auction is a total mess :/

Yeah, I don't understand what's happening... I mean, wasn't the last "official" bid somewhere in the mid-100 thousands??  For srs.

so im lost what did the Piano end up selling for?

1 million? if so that is a pretty huge sum, and I wonder what Yoshiki is thinking getting ready to ship out/deliver his piano to the winner

that´s really not that much I expected, I think that´s the problem with charity auctions, that stupid fans or persons who think they are, come along with total senseless offers for nothing, but 5 min fame
(have had a case like that a several years ago in Germany too) :(

pretty sad, I was expecting a huge amount which would of really done a lot of good.

Sadly I would of bought it if i had a lot of extra money to earn, but 140k is very low for the priceless Piano which I bet Yoshiki is disappointed but will just do what he does best and entertain and give.
