Well, it's confirmed, Yoshiki will be holding a panel with Stan Lee at NYAF/NYCC on Saturday, October 9 at 6:30. They'll probably talk about their collaboration. Unfortunately, this is uncomfortably close to the VAMPS concert, so I might not be able to make it... Oh well.

I'll try but I can't really use the data package on my iPhone abroad. It costs too much money. If the building has local computers or wifi then I'll be able to :-D

Stan Lee and Yoshiki were last together at MAX even back on July 1st 2010, as Stan Lee was put into one of X Japan's new music video and came to support the Yoshiki Foundation which was cool.

Now a day right before the Final US show he will be at NY comic con.......so wish I could go to this but anyone in New York will be able to see Yoshiki twice.

Heroman season 2 with X Japan anyone?? lol

Any updates on this? I was at Comic Con earlier today and just completely ran out of gas, so I didn't stick around for the panel...it should've started 20 minutes ago!

Apparently....

Yoshiki Hayashi, the co-founder of the X Japan  rock band, has announced at his New York Anime Festival/New York Comic Con panel on Saturday that he is collaborating with American comic creator Stan Lee  on a music superhero comic book series. The comic series will be translated into various unspecified languages and adapted into a motion comic. Lee also appeared in X Japan's "Born to Be Free" music video.

I've been waiting all day to know what happened at the conference! I can almost imagine Yoshiki as a superhero (though somehow he seems more a mastermind/Professor Xavier/X than a crime-fighting do-gooder). What would be his power...?
Hope someone posts video links...

Me neither, it´s slightly ridiculous - but who knows, maybe I will actually like the outcome in the end! :)

Lol, that article made me laugh so hard! If Stan Lee can´t even get Yoshiki´s name right it´s not exactly a promising start :D

LOL!!!
Quote
Yoshiki and Stan Lee may seem like an odd couple, but the two definitely have a rapport, even if Stan Lee called him "Takashi" and "Yokashi" before Yoshiki politely corrected him.
   ;D

Quote
No matter what he's called, it's clear that Yoshiki has a huge following, especially among Japanese women. A number of them had to be physically restrained before they were allowed to enter the room; then screaming and squealing ensued. They jumped over rows of chairs to get closer to their iconic hero. They yelled out his name. They told him they loved him. It's unclear if they heard the announcement, or if they even cared.
:(  I hope not such actings in our Europe tour please!!!

He thinks it sounds stupid.

And yeah, Stan Lee is an old man. He can be forgiven for getting people's names wrong. It's not that he doesn't know Yoshiki's name, as I know for a fact he certainly does, I'd just imagine it's just momentary speach lapses, especially given that he gave two seperate wrong names XD

I also have to agree...this sounds pretty lame. I'm really not sure if this is the right way to get people to know about Yoshiki/X Japan here in the West. In a positive note, this is a HUGE deal, I mean come on, I'm no comic-fan but I understand how BIG Stan Lee is...so for the sake of how big this is for Yoshiki, I'm happy. As long as he keeps healthy, and continue touring the world and don't change the band too much from what it is now, I'll be happy forever.

The picture they choose on RoadRunner to represent Yoshiki left me more Speechless than the actual concept of the motion-comic.

The fact that I am a Copy of so many that I admire, makes me feel unique.

This screams "publicity" rather than a very serious project... I'm kinda on the fence about this one, I don't want Yoshiki to make a fool of himself, but heck, he's probably doing whatever he wants because it's fun!

For some reason, I can imagine this superhero looking like the 80s Yoshiki with the stockings and banana hammock...

This will be the craziest idea the two will put together and that will probably make it a dark horse idea, but X Japan an Yoshiki's fans will probably really want to see how this will be put together like me. I will check this out and go from there Stan Lee has had some great ideas in the past that included working on Heroman and Ultimo and marvel working licensing Iron Man and Wolverine over to Japan so the comic presence is just getting bigger and bigger.

I can somehow see this getting turned into an anime or live action
