A French (and more understandable) version available :
FrancaisHere is a "small" summary of this very great and exhausting weekend.
I went to 2 (Toronto and New York)! Both show was awesome! but also very different.
Toronto was smaller with the hardcore fan. But very neat because of assigned seats and chairs.
New York, a party atmosphere in a metal show. General admission so we had to arrive early to get a good seat (first Thursday for Sunday evening concert). In the room, already very tight at the start people are tight, and tight even start approaching.
During the first toune we were unable to move consciously ... It was a square wave (3 steps forward, forward tilt because the foot can no longer forward but it still grows ... then left rear, right) Unable to lift / lower arm ... or even to breathe.
2nd toune the laws of the jungle to operate. Those who were too close asked to leave. After it was quiet, there was room to breathe and even jump!
In Toronto, I was with a Quebecois (Québec flag on photo 55) and 4 cute girls from Quebec. One of them was supposed to send me these photos by email, but I have not heard yet.
I understand I just finish either.
In New York I took only videos because I had my "camera-suicide" (used when risk of breaking / losing)

So the result is quite good.
http://www.youtube.com/user/BigmacXJapan#p/c/AA4CA898EB13145DNew York was pretty chaotic. Finally I put all the videos I had taken. Most are mini-sample of very poor quality ... but it gives an idea of the atmosphere.

Departure from Montreal to Toronto by bus at 9:30.
Arrived in Toronto around 16:30. Wander a bit in the city to find food because the show was assigned place. What made me miss the group arrived at the theater. :-(
Went to the line around 18:30 for the show to 20h.
Waited in the queue and then start talking with demonIced then the 4 girls.
Entered the room to get to the merchant. Bought 2 T-Shirt!
Speaking shortly before the show then head to our seats!
The show was awesome! The atmosphere during the intro was insane.
After the show we stayed to see them go. (See the last video)
After a beer with nachos.
Then we escorted the girls to their hotel room.
DemonIced and I were pretty dumb to plan not to sleep. So we continued talking as we walked all night.
At 5:30 DemonIced returned to the terminal for a nap before leaving at 7.30am.
I left to get around the city. I went back around 7am to get warm ... and I finally slept 1h being unable to move when seated: x
Then I move to go around the city by day! Before I left at 11:30.
Friday night alone. I ate and I went to bed early.
Saturday starting at 7:30 for a new anime convention in Quebec City (Cap and Kimono).
I was in Quebec between 10:10 to 3 am (morning) before returning to Montreal.
Arrived in Montreal around 6 am. A little quick shower before getting dressed for the bus at 7:30. I was dead tired for the half-hour subway ride...
I arrived at the terminal took 2 muffin because I did not eat since Friday night. : X
Although slept in the bus!
Transfer to Albany, where I met two Quebecers who went to the show!
Considering the amount of people, there were 2 bus to Montreal / New York at the same time.
Arrived in New York to 17h... in line at 17:17 for the show at 19h.
The line began at the corner of 52nd and Broadway (they arrived on Thursday) ... I corner 53rd and 8th.
The line has quickly than around the block. (When we arrived at the entrance, we had to catch the end of the queue (first video))
In the queue we were given a sheet for Toshi Birthday by a Japanese who was trying to explain the concept.
http://s1092.photobucket.com/albums/i415/Bigmac_XJapan/?action=view¤t=Toshi.jpgAfter Kurenai, at Yoshiki's signal, everybody had to put the leaf on his forehead and sing Happy Birthday Toshi! (video #18)
At 18h, another Japanese came with a stack of pizza! He was distributing pizza offered by the group! Very good idea given the time and that several people had been there very long. So I ate a point which was good after the muffin of the morning ;-)
Then we finally came almost on time!
As I already said the crowd was very compact and growing force that was approaching the start!
During the first toune we were unable to move consciously ... It was a square wave (3 steps forward, forward tilt because the foot can no longer forward but it still grows ... then left rear, right) Unable to lift / lower arm ... or even to breathe.
2nd toune the laws of the jungle to operate. Those who were too close to be called out. After it was quiet, there was room to breathe and even jump!
So I scream, jump, sing gave me thoroughly without worrying about video this time. : P
After the show I once again waited for the departure of the group. Wait at least 1:30... It was pretty chaotic for Yoshiki quick exit from the rear. (53rd Avenue, where I was with the Japanese groupies). Still waiting 1 hour before it is known that the rest of the group came out from the front. (52nd Avenue)
This time I had a hostel where I went to sleep after a meal!
I visited a bit the next day before returning to Montreal to 18h sad and very tired.
Customs return was quite long (45mins) but arrived early at about 2 in Montreal.
Slept a little before going to work... it took me a week to get over it: whistle:
I look forward to their next visit!
