No Taiji either!

They are pretty cool, but would prefer the new CD to be released than stamps!

Taiji is not really a member of X anymore, so I kind of understand that (even tough I'd love to see a Taiji stamp too.)

But it's nice nonetheless.

You weren't expecting yoshiki to make himself look more important than everyone else? As well as everything else that Yoshiki's done this is the newest thing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8T6gc-mfLSY

Yes yoshiki, that's what I think of when I make a trailer or some form of advert showing a BAND playing at a concert, two points in the video which advertise your book, and sections of you in an 'oh so pretty' wedding dress, getting to see you pour water over yourself behind the drums and then parts showing how much attention you get with bundles of flowers coming from every orifis of your body.

Yes that's what I want to see in a video about a music concert which consists of five people, not one, great vid Yoshiki, great vid.

Also, luckily there aren't as many as I thought there would be, and I guess there's no harm in selling something to celebrate a 20th anniversary, just the fact that its stamps just feels pathetic to me, what more is he going to come up with to branch further and further into selling merchandise for people to spend on X's name.

Of course, people buy bandshirts, but download the music.
Well, X fans are different, because they'll buy the cd's whenever they get the chance, I think XD

I might be wrong but I think that video is actually promoting an exclusive interview with his book’s author on MySpace Indivisual rather than a promotional trailer for X Japan as a band - so that is why it focuses on Yoshiki.

I can see why Taiji is not there as he did leave the band over 15 years ago but it is a 20th anniversary thing so would have been nice to have him there and Sugizo is a full member now so he should have a stamp too. Although, if it is a 20th anniversary of going major with Blue Blood then that was released on 21st April and Sugizo was made an official member on 1st of May - So that could be why they didn't include him? Although I don't know why they are waiting till now to release these rather than April?

(Ok, now taking a step back and realised I am thinking far too much about some stamps!)

You're not wrong, but if someone wants to misunderstand something, they are going to do so.

As for Taiji, would they really be allowed to use his image since he's not a member of X Japan?...I mean, the stamps are released under the name 'X Japan' not under the name 'X'...right? So maybe they aren't allowed to use his image either way.

And as for the fact that there 2 Yoshiki ones and 2 hide ones....well, like it or not, those 2 are the most popular....I don't know about you but personally I've seen this happening in many things (not just bands but also movies, books, tv series, whatever...) the most popular people/characters/whatever the case usually get more copies....

According to the website (http://x-stamp.com) these stamps should be available for purchase from today.  However, there are no options for purchasing the stamps on the site.  Since the lives in Tokyo in May (when I first found out about the stamp project) I've been regularly visiting the site.  At first it just said something like "please wait for more news".  That went on for a number of months.  Then it was changed to the current site to say that today (23 Oct) would be the release date.

But, nothing!  I'm all geared up to buy these stamps but cannot.  It was going to be my hightlight of my day Sad

If anyone has any information please let me know!

Thank you.
