Hi all,

I'm selling my Fernandes Burny MG-145S. It's the yellow guitar with red hearts that is modeled after one of hide's guitars.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280326098305

It's in really good condition- the pictures are in the above link. I'm basically selling it because I need some cash, and I haven't been playing it often. Any questions, let me know! Thanks!

A question, was hide's actual guitar a bolt on neck? Or is this just the guitar model based on hide's original Burny?

^ I'm not sure if his guitars were bolt on neck, but I know the guitars they sell now only look like hide's, they sound and feel different than the 'real' Burny MG's that hide used.

I read somewhere that hide tried the manufactured guitar because he wanted the guitars to have the same sound, etc...

But it's sure that it's not the same guitar because hide made the pick up by himself, etc...

(actually, i'm planning to buy the Fernandes MG-145X next year ^^ that's why i'm looking for a lot of informations ^^)

I'm pretty sure that hide's neck was not bolt on, I was just looking at the price on that sale.  I don't mean to insult but I'd hate for a fan to shell out that much money and end up being disappointed.  Just that i've seen bolt on guitars like his sold for less that the asking price.

Hide's actual guitar are all "Neck-Thru". Bolt-on are just a cheaper version of his signature copy models.
You can check for the Yellow Heart one:

MG-145S HY is the "cheap" version
MG-360S is the expensive one.

Cherry Sunburst:

MG-145S CS is the cheap version
MG-340X is the real hide used version.

Basically, any MG-2xx or 3xx or even 4xx models are neck-thru version and would be the ones hide uses.
Any MG-1xx or MG-xx models are cheaper models (with bolt-on) and are massively produced. (Yoshiki has actually used the MG-145S HY in one of the Live tribute to Hide, not the MG-360S, hehe).

The MG-xxx (3 x's are just referring to the price it is been sold at in Japan).
MG-360S would be costing 360,000 Yen MSRP. (about $3600+)
MG-340X would be costing 340,000 Yen MSRP. (about $3400+)
MG-145S would be costing 145,000 Yen MSRP. (about $1450+)

So on and so forth.
