hide : a movie based on hide's life

i know some of you hide fans there like me have once had this idea on their wish list... a full, high budget, fairly casted and written / directed fairly kind of movie that is thoroughly based on hide's life from childhood to rockstardom, his family, his love, his dreams, everything in between and his death.

imagine a DVD set with that movie... behind the scenes, casting... and extra special stuff with interviews of people who knew hide and from where they got the whole plot of the movie from. places where hide been or grew up at... the real settings... and special stuff like after hide died --- the museum and all...

sounds like an expensive DVD? --- I will still buy it if it ever come to!

of course it won't be a movie that will reveal too much, that will be like a freaky documentary or something. and what is the use of a movie if it is being told like so...

someone i imagined who can act as hide on a movie and resembles him a bit --- Matsuda Ryuhei

what do you guys think of him?

and maybe yoshiki's brother as yoshiki...

kidding.

oh well...

i hope someone will make one...

anyhoo... just a thought, i really think it would be great to have a movie for hide.
and just to make it more worthwhile --- use what is gained from it to re-open the hide museum...
yes, its free to dream... but hide taught us that.
anything is possible.

Yeah... I agree as well. I like his music and all, but a movie is just over the top. Maybe a dvd of interviews, behind the scenes things... making of videos... that would be much better.

I still think a collection of his interviews, behind the scenes things... stuff like that would be more PC than a movie with someone else acting as him.

as for the suggestions on who would play him.. that seems... yuck.

And do you really want to put Yoshiki through the trauma of that? I mean that poor soul isn't fully over hide's death... and you all want to suggest this?

That's where I picked Matsuda Ryuhei from --- NANA I

There was this one part he was playing on stage and I thought to myself, he reminds me of hide at certain angles.

I think it'd be a nice thing like, in a couple of years or so. Like, when Yoshiki and the others are dead. Maybe not Pata. Pata should be there to say "hide would've been proud of this movie" or something like that to please the audience.

And I would so watch it. With a good director that movie could be win.

If I have to say........
I bet you ANYTHING that Yoshiki or his other friends are not that "EMO" to have NOT let him go yet.
It's like 10 + years.
hide would not have wanted that suffering ---
and Yoshiki or his other friends would have let him rest well.

If ever Pata were to say that --- I would have totally agreed so that hide would think it.

^ ^ good / charismatic cast is important too. yes, definitely a good director.

If a hide movie was made, we'd have a new Sid and Nancy: All the band members would hate the director and the movie, the movie would be full of mistakes, the death scene would suck.

A movie about hide's life? Why not? That the movie won't be 100 % accurate is for sure, but who cares, it's just a movie (but of course I wouldn't be that happy if the movie would suck, for example if Rob Schneider would be in the lead role ;-))

I think if they ever do a hide-based movie, I think it should be animated in rotoscope in the style of Ralph Bakshi. For those of you unfamiliar with Bakshi's work, he made stuff like Cool World, American Pop, Wizards, and the animated version of Lord of the Rings. (YT any of those if you care to see.) I dunno, I think Bakshi's style would compliment hide's in a weird way. That way, also, getting the looking actor is a bit less hard, because you just draw over them anyway.

Masaki Kajishima Would be a good choice as well. He's the creator of Tenchi Muyo!. Some of his female charectors had some pretty wild hair. His style is also kinda laid back.

the animated kind of movie doesn't sound too bad.
but --- it doesn't cater to a lot of audiences.
i mean not many people appreciate those kind of movies.
it will be easier to create the characters though, and likeness will be good enough
but production wise that will be expensive and will take a lot of time.

i think for the real movie thing --- it will take a long while for casting.
there is already a basis on the story.
the production can find them anywhere.

and yes better when the people who knew him personally are still alive.

LOL, a movie about hide that would be really cool IMO. Well at least as far as it stays in my brain because if i tried to make that a movie for real everyone would sue me xD

if i had done more in the multimedia department maybe i can start on the animated movie idea. but too bad im not expert at all!

specially the second pic... that angle reminded me of a part in one of X lives...

Oh its the mouth really and the shape of the face --- make-up can work on the eyes.
and no one cares about the nose unless it's as big as Yoshiki's.
'would make a lot of difference...
so yoshiki's casting will be much harder.

But I totally agree, mouth and shape of the face are quite identical And te eyes need a bit make-up and proper acting because as I see it they reflect only the sad/devastated part of hide's eyes. There must be a mixture of sth more twisted and well...crazy-fucked up xD

I agree... Matsuda Ryuhei should try really hard on this, because his eyes are --- well I've watched him in a few movies, and I have to say that it might be hard for him to act this one well. If ever he manages to act hide... and pull it off, then I will bow down to him.

His eyes are like that because his parents both died when he was a young boy.

I guess it would be incredibly hard to act as such a big enigma as hide

And well...ok he at least we KNOW why he has those eyes.

When we see hide with that look, we know nothing,lol. ( at least..um...official)

guess we will never know...

i think the plot should be good (if the producer / director mess this up, then that is the end of making the movie work-out) --- and good acting of course, you are right he must act a little twisted and crazy-fucked up happy sort of way like hide is. even then, hide can also be serious at times.

in general i think Matsuda Ryuhei will work it out somehow, just needs to smile a little.

I almost always see hide smiling at interviews and such, but most of the time hiding his eyes with shades. so the actor will just have to wear lots of it in the movie. i'll see if i can find a smiling Ryuhei.
