When my sister saw that she was VERY grossed out! She didn't even know what she was looking at at first!

This is how things went:

Me: "OK This is a forum for the band "X Japan", the second best band in the entire world (first being The Beatles obv). Oh look, something was made by an admin in the Important section. This must be important. *click*"
Me: "O_O WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN (<- I said that in my head)"
Sister: "<_< I have one of those.." and then she gasped and said "AND YOU HAVE ON OF THOSE AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

She ran and told my mother!

Now, my mother thinks I'm some kind of pervert who likes showing porn to my little sister. I tried to explain to my mother what X-Freaks was (the name "X-Freaks" didn't help the situation one bit), but she wouldn't believe me. I can't even believe this! I care about my little sister A LOT. I mean, the only X  album I let her listen to is Dahlia, despite her wanting to listen to the rest of their discography, I just don't think she's ready for it.

Summary: Browsing X-Freaks has brought great shame to my family and scarred my little sister...for life.

I know we have a problem with porn bots NOW. My little sister does too.

And to be honest, I just saw there was a new post and I clicked it because I thought it would be an important announcement, but instead it was a black penis inside of a white vagina. Thank the lord I got out of there before that video loaded (did anyone save it, btw?)!

Anyway, you should thank ferret now, as it seems she has deleted all the bots (notice we now have 389 members instead of the 1500+ we had before).

The problem here was, that while on the old software bots could register but not post links and pics until they had 10 posts ( =they didn't post, except for occasional random text with links in the profile of the bot), then on the new software, bots can't register, but the old bots could post everything (there is no 10 post limit for pics/links atm, though it should be added as soon as we find a good mod for it) (the bots that weren't deleted before probably kept on trying to post every now and then, and when we changed the software- bang).

So that problem should be solved now

Recently there have been more blatantly bot messages popping up in the important threads section is something gonna be done about it?  Just it doesnt look good when people are browsing and considering jointing only to see a thread about hairy balls or other such horrible images.
