Did Sugizo have a new S-II guitar custom built for the X concerts???

I'm not talking about the V-style guitar; I mean the "S" style with the chrome "brilliant -mixed media-" top.

It's not an S-I or an S-III or the new S-VIII that he had made for "One Night Deja Vu"... I don't think anyone's seen it before O_o;;;

Well, here's what's certain...

1) 24 frets
2) Floyd Rose style locking bridge, not a vintage tremolo bridge as featured on his new guitars
3) Two passive pickups... humbucker and single coil... both with exposed magenetic poles

By its specifications, it technically IS an S-II with a different neck pickup (original one had a SCR-1n 'cool rails' pickup)

However... we certainly have NOT seen one with a "Brilliant -mixed media-" top... unless I'm mistaken? o.o;;;

I guess the only way we will ever know is when a new, 10 000 dolalr guitar is put on sale on the ESP page.  :P

I don't keep track of the specs of Sugizo's guitars, especially not his recent ones, so if I could possibly be way off-base here. In which case, just laugh and ignore. :P

But based strictly on appearance, the guitar in that photo looks a whole lot like the ESP Eclipses he used to use in the last several years of Luna Sea.

Awesome to see someone who has an eye for guitars. Sucks though that I don't know anything more about Sugizo's models other than that the fact that they look fucking cool!

Darn it, I'd have loved to discuss in a topic like this...  :cry:

Here's Sugizo's page for his guitars with details on its construction and use.

Honestly, I want the Edwards which he used during the Eden era.  :P

No... I've been over this before other forums, but once again...

The S-VIII has:
22 frets
P90/single coil/single coil configuration (3 pickups)
Gotoh GE101TS Vintage-style bridge

And the 'mystery guitar' he used with X has:
24 frest
humbucker/single coil configuration (2 pickups
Original Floyd Rose locking-style bridge

Clearly different guitars.
As I said, my guess is it's simply an S-II with the chrome top. It's nothing we've seen before.
