So What
Music: either Taiji Sawada or Taiji Fujimoto (Sawada is credited in Drive to Revolution, Fujimoto is credited in Dirty Trashroad-- anyone know?)
Lyrics: Mitsuo Takeuchi
English Lyrics: Suzi Kim

ThanX for the lyrics again!!! :D

How you described the content it really makes sense to me.
Before reading it, all the "lick, suck and whatever else my thang" confused me way too much!

And hell, I love how that song grooves! It's nearly impossible to listen to it without moving not at least a tiny part of your body!

My favorite D.T.R track... Taiji's slaps kick ass! And the lyrics are pretty funny... I gotta sing this song to some people I know... xD

Yeah, Taiji's bass playing (especially on the live version) is AMAZING... probably the best showcase of his bass talent, though the tapping in Rose of Pain was memorable too.

Glad you guys are enjoying seeing the lyrics!  Next time I'll do Kill Trap for Camicat, then after that maybe Desert River since I think it's one of their best songs lyrically.  Arucard, any specific songs you wanted to see?

<3 You're so dear! Really, I appreciate your help here very much, Hollywood!

And Desert River is a really nice idea (though I think every other D.T.R song would be as well somehow ). It expresses much Western style to me as I know it now. I have that gun shot in mind now at the beginning after Mitsuo's monologue, which sounds to me kind of... I don't know.. like gotten lost in the desert and having lost all power.

(And I agree! Great bass on So What and So What live. I just didn't mention it, because I anyways are swarming so much about Taiji's bass, haha!)

"Voiceless", "Running With The Wind" and "Empty Room"... And maybe "Chain" too... ^^

For me the best showcase on Taiji's talent as a bassist is the 7 min bass solo from 1990.02.04... Damn, that's gotta be one of my favorite solos ever!

No problem!  It's really no trouble, each one only takes me a couple minutes to type out and I know you guys like seeing them, so yeah. :)  Plus I like being able to discuss the lyrics with you guys and I guess they're not available anywhere else online...

By the way, I think you will be pleasantly surprised by how correct you are about Desert River. ;)

@Arucard - Good choices, after Desert River I'll start on those.

By chance the thang?

Mitsuo looks so handsome... and then those lyrics and the Rumpelstiltskin voice. His mother must be disappointed and embarrassed!

xD Hey, no problem about Yoshiki.

And no, unfortunately I don't know a site with pictures of him. Apart from his blog... and some scans here and there. Nothing specific though.

Glad you enjoyed the lyrics. ;)

Yeah, his face doesn't really fit with his voice/lyrics.  I heard him before I saw him, and he really didn't look like the guy I imagined that voice belonging to, haha.  Not complaining, he's cool-- I just think it's sort of funny. :P

As for photos... there are one or two on the DTR official site, but probably you've seen those already.  And as Camicat said there are some on his website-- actually a whole lot of them (go to www.mitsuotakeuchi.com and click "photograph" near the top of the page).

Other than that and the few scans floating around, I think you'll have to really search...
