After hearing some of the cover's people have done (which are awesome  :D  :D ) I had an idea. What if all the musicians got together and do a cover of an X Japan song (or even X related like Spread Beaver or sumin)

It's just an idea but does anyone think it could work??

Vocals - ferret
Something (not sure yet...) - Tordek42
Guitars - YusamiUne
Guitars and other bits - Hurley
Awesomeness - BizKiTRoAcH

Song nominations - Forever Love

I guess you mean all the musicians from this board?

Your idea sounds like it could be a lot of fun, I'm volunteering for vocals

Nice!!! As I can play guitar, bass, piano and drums, I gonna wait fora  few days so people can say if their interested or not until I say what im gonna play.

Just too let you know, I'm not going to be able to oversee the project as I do not have the organisational skill, nor the time and patience to give the project the full attention it deserves, so if anyone wants to be leader then say so!!

That's cool. I learned the solo to it when I broke up with my ex girlfriend. It made me feel better because I felt bad that I did it, but it reminded me it needed to be done, you know? :3

I can't say I'm perfect but I put heart into it XD Now I sound like i'm boasting >< =^^=

I'm in, I can play guitar (solos too), bass and keyboards/piano (the piano parts I suggest that someone else would play, but I can play those string parts with my keyboard) and I can sing a bit too, dunno about pronouncing japanese tho.

EDIT: Oh and if no one is able to record drums, I can do them with a drum machine, I've got some samples for it that sound pretty good.

LOL that would be slightly awesome, but challenging unless others want to try it??

nice response so far, anyone want to be the leader so to speak, as I have no time to lead this :(

The easiest way of doing this would be recording our bits (over the original probably), then sending our bits to one guy (most probably me), then that person will put them all together.

Why not try doing something original out of a song? You can use Guitar Pro, for example, to build up a new arrangement of a song.

Hmm sounds interesting, but someone will have to do an arrangement, I can't do that to save my life!!

Aaah, you guys are too fast for me.

On my vocals: I can't sing it as high as Toshi :?  So, if you put me as leadsinger, I'd sing one octave deeper or so. My voice is perfect for hide's voice, though. (means hide songs or his backups in X songs). I'm not a professional singer and I'm not even claiming it sounds totally beautiful but I sing it correctly.

Just warning you, haha.

Oh, and only the acoustic version of Forever Love please, because the other one (sucks) is not as beautiful :P

Yeah, I've tried that, but still, most X songs are too high for my voice (alto).

I've arranged an Instrumedly of sorts of some of their older songs to play with my band here.

It contains X, Week End, Standing Sex, and Stab Me In The Back. We can try that if someone wants?

It's really mainly ment as some love for the few other X fans around where I live...During the last performance of the last band  Iwas with, during the warm up the drummer and I played "X" for a minute and got a few cheers X3 Made us happy.

Sounds interesting, could you by any chance send me a guitar pro file of it, or an audio file of it being performed??

I've been messing around with some of their songs and I've had an idea. We could do Voiceless Screaming but with a whole band! I'll upload a rough version of it (me playing over the original) so tell me what you think of it!

I'll have to join Anna in the angst. Seeing as guitar is taken, plus I can't play very well (read: at all) or sing. Back-up vocals might still work, but I'm afraid... Nah. If there's anything I could do though, I'd love to.

If my sister were older, I'd definitely HAVE you make her play piano. She's nine, and plays the piano like a little goddess. She's never gotten any professional teaching at that, she's just a natural at it. And drums... It kind of bugs me knowing that if she keeps at it, she'll be as good as Yoshiki at both when she grows up. But yeah, off-topic...
