I watch every docu or show about asian countries. China is quite In right now, cuz of its ever growing economical importance, but most of the things they show in tellie are the downsides of the fast growing of shanghai and other cities in china. I wish there were more docus about asian culture in general.
I also watch asian movies, but many korean movies are a bit to much drama for my taste. Hero is also one of my favourites and all the old non american jackie chan flicks too.
Sometimes I try to cook asian meals and I go 2~3 days a week to my Tea Kwon Do club.

One could say, I love Asia :)

I want to watch more Korean dramas... anybody have some recommendation?

And when we're at it, in China, what are the popular movies these days, aside from Hero and the like? I don't know enough Chinese characters to read the pages....

'll save you from yourself. Fly...

I'm here, I'm here XD

So...have you ever seen The Emperor and the Assassin? It's story is qute similar to Hero. I have to say that this is one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen (and it made me cry, now that's something)

The guy who played the assassin was fabulos! Actually, everyone was...

Yeah, Hero made me sad, too. I love how they managed to connect the characters' mood witch the colours of their clother etc.

On the other side, I've seen pretty much every movie with Jackie Chan, the old ones are classics

Same for Bruce Lee films, I even do have some documetaries about him and some vid where he's talking about Jeet Kune Do .

Jackie is one of the best comedians in the world! But he should have left Hollywood after Shanghai Noon...

Yeah, I've just read about that Chan/Li movie. Hm, Jackie is awesome at comedies, but kinda can't pull of dramas. Li, on the other side, is best in serious movies. So they'll have to concentrate on the fighting

I don't know, Chan is just too slapstick for me . . .

Bruce Lee now, before he was used and abused by hollyweird, that was pure martial art.

Still love the mirror room scene . . . I think that was in "Enter the Dragon"

Long time since I watched that, too. :)

Hehe, so Chan is perfect for me xD

Yeah, it was Enter The Dragon, love that scene. I grew up with Bruce Lee movies and anime (and that was in Estonia!)

I find it so sad how he dies, and even sadder how his son Brandon did while filming The Crow.

RIP

yeah what happened to him and his son were really something that i can't imagine...

Jackie Chan's movies are funny, Jet Li's are more serious, and more to Kung Fu. but their movies are really good.
